Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of social media marketing and online customer reviews on brand attitude, and their impact on purchase intention for the OPPO Find N5 Fold product. This research employs a quantitative approach with exogenous variables including Social Media Marketing (X1) and Online Customer Review (X2), and endogenous variables comprising Brand Attitude (Z) and Purchase Intention (Y). Primary data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire, distributed to respondents residing in Surabaya who do not yet own an OPPO Find N5 Fold, are active on social media, and have seen advertisements or reviews of the product. A purposive sampling technique was applied, with a total of 130 respondents. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) via SmartPLS 4.0.9. The findings reveal that both social media marketing and online customer reviews have a positive and significant effect on brand attitude, which in turn positively influences purchase intention toward the OPPO Find N5 Fold. Therefore, companies are encouraged to develop creative communication strategies on social media and manage customer reviews strategically to strengthen brand perception and drive purchase intention.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively examine the long-term and short-term effects of foreign direct investment, domestic investment, Human Development Index (HDI), and minimum wage on economic growth in West Kalimantan over the 1996–2023 period, with a primary focus on the COVID-19 pandemic era. The pandemic has severely impacted regional economic stability, and West Kalimantan, a resource-based province, has experienced significant shocks. A quantitative approach was applied using time series analysis with Vector Autoregression (VAR), Granger Causality Test, Johansen Cointegration Test, and Impulse Response Function (IRF). Secondary data were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), and other governmental sources. The findings indicate that all variables significantly affect economic growth in both the short and long term. Domestic investment and HDI contribute positively and consistently, while foreign investment exhibits high volatility. Minimum wage has a negative impact in the short term but turns positive in the medium term. The study provides strategic policy recommendations to strengthen the regional economic foundation through human capital development, domestic investment enhancement, and productivity-based wage policies. The implications are relevant for post-pandemic policy formulation and enhancing regional economic resilience against future crises.

Abstract

As Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance becomes a key indicator of corporate sustainability, the role of CEO power in shaping ESG outcomes warrants systematic investigation. This study aims to explore the relationship between CEO power and ESG performance by conducting a bibliometric and content analysis of relevant literature. Data were retrieved from the Scopus database using predefined keywords, resulting in 329 peer-reviewed articles published between 2018 and 2025. Bibliometric analysis was conducted using the Bibliometrix package in R, identifying publication trends, dominant themes, key contributing countries, and methodological patterns. Results indicate a growing scholarly focus on CEO influence in ESG implementation, particularly in energy-intensive sectors, with “data envelopment analysis” and “carbon emissions” emerging as central themes. Content analysis reveals that CEO power measured through tenure, duality, ownership, and political ties—exerts both enabling and constraining effects on ESG strategies. While powerful CEOs can promote long-term sustainability initiatives, excessive concentration of authority may reduce transparency and stakeholder trust. The impact of CEO power varies across ESG pillars and is influenced by contextual factors such as regulatory environments and governance structures. The study identifies research gaps in multidimensional CEO power assessment, disaggregated ESG analysis, and cross-country comparisons. These findings contribute to the theoretical understanding of executive leadership’s role in sustainability and offer directions for future empirical exploration.
