Abstract

This research aims to determine the aspects involved in planning tourism areas in the context of appropriate tourism strategies to achieve successful tourism in the Gomara natural tourism area, Simonis Village, Aek Natas District, North Labuhanbatu Regency. The model for finding strategic tourism planning uses the SOAR (Strength, Opportunity, Aspirations and Results) Model, as another alternative to SWOT analysis, this model is a combination of SWOT and Appreciative Inquiry (AI) strategies introduced by Jacqueline M. Stavros. This model focuses on involving all stakeholders and all implementation integrity, to obtain data about Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations and Results to be achieved in determining the strategy and development of Gomara natural tourism. In this research, descriptive-analytic methods have been used, also library data, semi-structured interview methods and survey methods have been used to collect data. The statistical population of this study includes residents of Aek Natas Village, the Regional Government, NGOs related to Gomara natural tourism, Simonis Village, Aek Natas District, North Labuhanbatu Regency and visiting tourists. The research results show that there are great strengths and excellent opportunities for Gomara natural tourism, Simonis Village, Aek Natas District, North Labuhanbatu Regency. To achieve this aspiration. The government, NGOs, investors and, institutional elements, and local communities must have good collaboration to create a comprehensive tourism plan for Gomara natural tourism, Simonis Village, Aek Natas District, North Labuhanbatu Regency. such as: creating promotional strategies for the uniqueness and richness of tourist attractions, holding cultural festivals and exhibitions, designing websites, educating local people to make unique handicrafts as icons.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and explain the role of Purchasing in procuring goods at Four Point by Sheraton Medan Hotel. The results of the research are expected to be a reference and consideration for the Finance Department and more precisely for the Purchasing Department regarding the role of Purchasing in the procurement of Housekeeping Department goods. Purchasing is an important part of an organization where Purchasing's job is to provide all thegoods needed by the company starting from physical goods, services and services This type of research uses case studies of data collected by observation, interviews, documentation,and literature study techniques. The variables are the Purchasing Mechanism and Procurement of Goods (Y). this research itself uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. The results of the analysis of observations and interviews conducted with Mr. Agus as Purchasing Officer stated that the role of Purchasing in the process of ordering goods, procuring goods, and distributing Housekeeping Department goods must be in accordance with the Standard Operational Procedure (SOP). In the Supplier selection process must be carried out in a transparent manner and must have at least 3 suppliers in order to avoid the unavailability of goods requested by the user. Behind that in order to minimize sudden requests made by users, of course this will help the work / activities of a Purchasing without having to make direct purchases.

Abstract

Workplace training entails an endeavor aimed at enhancing employees' skills to attain specific benchmarks. During this process, participating employees are furnished with diverse instructions and practical guidance, enabling them to reach the desired proficiency level. The fundamental goal of this job training is to cultivate employees who can ultimately proficiently execute assigned tasks, minimizing errors, and enhancing productivity across various responsibilities. This investigation seeks to ascertain the extent of the impact of job training on the performance of servers at the Grand Mercure Hotel Medan Angkasa. Data collection was executed through a questionnaire and direct observations at the research site. The research approach utilized here is quantitative in nature. According to the results derived from the coefficient of determination test, it is evident that the influence of job training (variable X) on server performance (variable Y) amounts to 47.3%, while the remaining 52.7% is influenced by external factors beyond the scope of this study. The findings of this research underscore that job training exerts a positive and significant effect on server performance, and there exist other independent variables that impact server performance beyond the confines of this particular study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of social media as a promotional tool for Hotel Sibayak Internasional Berastagi. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to the data obtained in the study using primary data by conducting field observations, interviewing the Sales & Marketing team, and conducting documentation during the research. The results obtained from this study indicate the use of social media as a means of effective promotion. carried out by the Sales & Marketing team by providing digital product information in the form of product photos in the form of posters and videos These are used to reach potential customers.

Abstract

Utilising food storage is necessary to decrease waste and increase food quality. In this study, the effect of tainted food storage on its quality was evaluated at the Cambridge Hotel Medan. 35 people gathered to hear the announcement. Quantitative techniques using a Likert scale and inferential statistics like validity, reliability, simple regression, and determination are included in data analysis. The Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 25 was used for the analysis. The study's findings revealed that, according to the determination test, the Cambridge Hotel Medan's food storage had a 12.6% influence on quality, while other factors outside the study had an 87.4% impact. With a significance level of 0.037, the sum of the t values (2,180) exceeds the table of the t values (2.036). The Ha hypotheses are therefore accepted, and the H0 hypothesis is disproved. According to the Ha hypothesis, there is a direct correlation between the integrity of food and how it is stored. Food and beverage goods must be further trained and supervised at storage in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in order to reduce food waste.

Abstract

This study aims to determine promotion at Hotel GranDhika Setiabudi Medan, to determine employee performance at Hotel GranDhika Setiabudi Medan, and to determine the effect of promotion on employee performance at Hotel GranDhika Setiabudi Medan. The research method used is a quantitative method. Data collection techniques in this study are through observation and questionnaires. The population in this study were housekeeping employees at Hotel GranDhika Setiabudi Medan. This study used a sample of 28 respondents. The sample was taken from the GranDhika Hotel housekeeping employees to fill out a questionnaire distributed through an online survey platform. Based on the results of the study, it was found that promotion at Hotel GranDhika Setiabudi Medan has a positive effect on employee performance and the fairer and better the promotion is carried out, the better the employee's performance.[DM1]The effect of promotion on employee performance at Hotel GranDhika Setiabudi Medan is a positive and significant influence where promotion can affect employee performance by 44.3% and the remaining 55.7% is influenced by other factors outside of this study.

Abstract

This research was conducted using the interview method with the Room Attendant Supervisor by submitting several questions related to the Room Attendant service quality so as to obtain several responses from the parties interviewed by the researcher. This study aims to find out how the service system provided by the room attendant on customer satisfaction, which is where researchers come directly to conduct interviews with people who have been determined. Abstract

This research investigates the study of Indonesian in the context of gastronomy, focusing on the impact of #LaurenceBenson content on knowledge and appreciation of traditional Indonesian cuisine. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature review and questionnaire-based data collection techniques. The results of the study showed that #LaurenceBenson content was viewed positively by most respondents for introducing and preserving Indonesian culture among foreign and local communities. Positive impacts include increased interest of foreigners in Indonesian cuisine, which can increase the income of Indonesian food businesses and provide new economic opportunities. In this context, knowledge and recognition of diverse local cuisines is very important for Indonesians to present to the international world through media such as #LaurenceBenson content.

Abstract

By strengthening the role of Bahasa Indonesia in the tourism industry, Indonesia can enhance the traveler experience, expand its tourism market, and promote its rich culture and nature to the world. Thus, providing basic information in Bahasa Indonesia in popular tourist destinations can help foreign tourists to better interact with their surroundings, even though Bahasa Indonesia is not the primary foreign language for most international tourists. The research method used in this research is literature review or literature study. Indonesian has a positive value for the world of Indonesian tourism such as the development of vocabulary use. But on the one hand it has a negative value, namely the non-optimal function of Indonesian as a means of disclosing tourism industry products in Indonesia. In this case, it needs help from various parties such as the government in order to implement the use of Indonesian in the tourism industry in Indonesia.

Abstract

Since 2015, the central government has designated Mandalika as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Tourism in Indonesia to develop the tourism sector in the West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB). Mandalika SEZ covers an area of 1,035 hectares with high potential for beach tourism. However, waste management has become a significant challenge threatening the sustainability of tourism in this area. This study evaluates the waste management issues in Mandalika, especially during major events like MotoGP, and offers solutions through stakeholder collaboration. The methodology employed includes observation, interviews, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with various stakeholders. The results indicate the need for stricter regulations, improved waste management facilities, and active participation from both the local community and tourists in maintaining environmental cleanliness.
