Abstract

This study aims to construct an integrated constellation model and determine optimal strategies for reinforcing lecturers’ professional commitment at leading private universities in Bogor. Utilizing the POP-SDM (Modeling and Optimization of Management Resources) framework, the research integrates elements of local wisdom and organizational support within a systemic approach to human resource development. The exploratory qualitative phase involved in-depth interviews and focus group discussions to uncover major determinants influencing professional commitment. From the thematic analysis, four principal variables emerged—teamwork, organizational climate, religiosity, and work motivation—which were validated through expert judgment. Quantitative verification was subsequently performed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique to examine both direct and indirect relationships among constructs. The analysis confirmed that all variables exert positive and significant effects on lecturers’ professional commitment, with work motivation being the most dominant factor. To refine improvement priorities, the SITOREM (Scientific Identification Theory for Conducting Operational Research in Educational Management) method was applied, identifying indicators that should be improved, maintained, or further developed. The findings offer empirical and practical insights, including: (1) a validated POP-SDM–based commitment model combining cultural and organizational dimensions; (2) evidence-based strategies to enhance lecturer professionalism; and (3) an optimization framework to guide sustainable lecturer development in higher education institutions.

Abstract

Justice collaborators, or "crown witnesses," have become essential in modern criminal justice systems, particularly in dismantling organized crime and uncovering complex murder cases. This study explores the legal protections afforded to justice collaborators in Indonesia through a doctrinal analysis of the Supreme Court Decision No. 1704 K/PID.SUS/2022, commonly known as the Richard Eliezer verdict. The objective is to critically examine the adequacy and application of legal safeguards provided to individuals who cooperate with law enforcement while implicated in serious crimes. Employing normative legal research methods and a statutory and case approach, the paper reveals discrepancies in the implementation of protections for justice collaborators. While the Indonesian Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) offers procedural protections, this analysis identifies significant gaps in enforcement, judicial interpretation, and institutional coordination. The findings underscore a need for stronger legislative frameworks and consistent judicial standards to uphold the rights and safety of justice collaborators. The implications extend to criminal law reform and the balancing of retributive justice with restorative mechanisms. This study contributes to the legal discourse on human rights protections in criminal procedure, particularly concerning vulnerable individuals assisting the justice system under duress or threat.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of legal protection for consumers in digital transactions in Indonesia. The method used is library research with a normative juridical approach. The results of the study indicate that Indonesia actually has an adequate legal basis to protect digital consumers, which is primarily sourced from Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions. These regulations have set out basic principles such as the obligation of business actors to provide honest information, consumer rights to security, and the recognition of electronic evidence. However, its implementation in the field encounters various significant obstacles. Case studies on e-commerce and fintech platforms reveal that consumer losses still often occur, such as products that do not match the description, difficulties with refunds, and the vulnerability of personal data. The key finding of this study is that the main challenge lies not in the legal vacuum, but in three aspects: (1) low digital literacy and consumer law so that they are not optimal in fighting for their rights; (2) alternative dispute resolution mechanisms such as BPSK and ODR (Online Dispute Resolution) which are not yet effective, fast, and easily accessible; and (3) weak supervision and law enforcement against unscrupulous business actors in the digital space. Therefore, it is concluded that digital consumer protection efforts require a holistic approach that relies not only on regulations, but also through massive public education, strengthening dispute resolution institutions, and closer synergy between the government, business actors, and the community.

Abstract

The teaching profession plays a strategic role in advancing national education, as mandated by the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. However, teachers frequently face challenges, including threats of physical violence from students’ parents, which undermine their dignity and safety in the educational environment. This study addresses the problem of how legal frameworks provide protection for teachers and whether existing regulations adequately ensure their rights and security. The research aims to analyze the effectiveness of legal protection for teachers under the Criminal Code, Law No. 14 of 2005 on Teachers and Lecturers, Law No. 35 of 2014 on Child Protection, and Ministerial Regulations concerning teacher protection. The study employs a normative juridical method with a statute, conceptual, and case approach, relying on primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials, analyzed through qualitative interpretation and juridical argumentation. The results indicate that although legal instruments exist, their implementation remains weak due to the absence of technical regulations, limited institutional coordination, and insufficient support systems for teachers at the school level. The study concludes that derivative regulations and integrated mechanisms are essential for ensuring effective protection. It recommends strengthening inter-agency coordination, establishing school-level protection units, and enhancing teachers’ legal literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the application of neuroplasticity principles in learning at elementary schools, focusing on the teaching practices of five teachers at SDS Dharma Putra. Neuroplasticity, as a core concept in neuroscientific learning, describes the brain's ability to form, strengthen, or modify neural networks through experience, repetition, meaningful activities, and students' emotional involvement. Given the characteristics of elementary school students who are at a stage of cognitive development that is highly responsive to learning environment stimulation, a study of the application of neuroplasticity by teachers is important to ensure that the learning process is in line with the brain's working mechanisms. This study used a neuropsychological instrument measuring the dimensions of neuroplasticity to assess four main indicators, namely repetition & practice, dedicated time for review, use of interactive activities, and contextual learning that connects the material to students' real experiences. The data was reinforced through in-depth interviews and thematic analysis of the learning strategies applied by each teacher. The results showed variations in application between teachers. Some teachers showed strong implementation in interactive activities and contextual learning (score of 5), while structured repetition showed lower consistency (score of 3). The interview findings reinforced the instrument results by showing patterns of strategies such as the use of inspirational stories, educational games, quizzes with prizes, conveying the benefits of learning, and scaffolding through easy material as a starting point. This study concludes that the application of neuroplasticity principles is present in teachers' teaching practices, although the level of depth and routine still needs to be strengthened. The theoretical implication confirms that learning that integrates positive emotions, collaborative activities, planned repetition, and contextualization of material has the potential to have a significant impact on the formation of students' neural networks. Practically, this study provides recommendations for strengthening neuroscientific learning-based instructional design as an effort to optimize the learning process of elementary school students.

Abstract

This research examines the application of the Brain-Based Learning (BBL) model to reduce math anxiety in teaching fractions at the elementary school level. This study used a quantitative approach with a pretest–posttest quasi-experimental control group design involving two fifth-grade classes: one experimental class that received fraction instruction through BBL and one control class that was taught using conventional methods, with 40 students in each group. Mathematics anxiety related to fractions was measured using a modified mathematics anxiety scale for elementary school students, while fraction achievement was evaluated through a valid written test. The results showed that both groups had relatively equivalent initial abilities, supported by normal and homogeneous pretest data and no significant differences in pretest scores. After the intervention, the experimental class showed consistently lower levels of anxiety related to fractions in all dimensions (tests/assessments, classroom learning situations, fraction tasks, and fraction avoidance) and significantly higher post-test scores than the control class, with an average difference of about seven points. The findings show that BBL, which aligns the learning process with the way the brain naturally learns by fostering positive emotions, multisensory experiences, and meaningful social interaction, is effective in improving students' understanding of fractions while simultaneously reducing their math anxiety. This study offers a unique perspective by conducting an experimental trial of BBL as a targeted intervention for math anxiety related to fractions in Indonesian elementary schools and highlighting its potential as a neuroeducation-based pedagogical strategy to foster numeracy and emotional well-being in math learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a comprehensive constellation model and identify optimal strategies for strengthening lecturers’ professional commitment in the largest private universities in Bogor. Penelitian ini mengkaji secara mendalam bagaimana emosi dan belajar sosial memengaruhi proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar melalui perspektif neuropedagogik dan brain‑based learning. A mixed methods approach was used by combining quantitative analysis (meta-analysis of 173 respondents and 47 indicators of NP, EC, OB, MS, BS) and descriptive qualitative analysis using thematic analysis techniques on semi-structured interviews with five elementary school teachers. The meta-analysis results showed a very strong average effect of the latent construct relationship (t(128) = 12.92; p < 0.001; r ≈ 1.00) with almost zero heterogeneity (Qₑ(128) = 1.67; τ² = 0; I² = 0%), and no significant moderating effects were found for all indicators; the partial meta-regression coefficients for all items were very close to zero and the R² value was 0.000. Qualitatively, three main themes emerged: (1) positive emotions as the foundation of learning readiness, (2) social interaction as a reinforcement of meaning formation, and (3) contextual learning that integrates cognitive, emotional, and social dimensions. Although most teachers have not yet mastered the concepts of neuropedagogy and brain-based learning theoretically, they have intuitively implemented its principles through motivation, praise, humor, group work, collaborative projects, and learning experiences relevant to students' real lives. These findings support the latest theory that places emotions and social interactions as the main drivers of brain function in learning (Immordino Yang, 2016; Tyng et al., 2017; Vygotsky, 1978; Jensen, 2008), and emphasizes the importance of strengthening teachers' competence in understanding and designing brain- and emotion-based learning to support the holistic development of elementary school students.
