Abstract

Serut Village is one of the villages located in Gunungkidul, with the potential for extensive terraced agricultural land. One commodity that can thrive is the saba banana (Musa paradisiaca forma). Serut Village has a Farmers' Group (POKTAN) spread across 7 hamlets that are not yet integrated. The number of members aged 35 and over is still quite low because it is related to knowledge. This is due to the lack of interest of young people in the world of agriculture, which is considered unpromising, so the youth farmer studio program is a solution. This activity aims to cadre and train young people to become strong and independent millennial farmers, using several methods such as outreach, field schools, and training. The young farmers' studio in Serut Village focuses on developing agricultural technology and producing processed Saba bananas as a superior food product. To plan the implementation and sustainability process of the Ormawa HMPS Physics PPK program, we use methods such as field orientation, focus group discussions, training, mentoring, and evaluation with policymakers. The goal is to increase soft skills.

Abstract

The application of Good Fish Seedling Practices (GFSP) is critical, as proper broodstock management has a direct impact on enhanced fish output. Furthermore, inoculation with the Triptovac-22 vaccine, created by Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic of Karawang Polytechnic, is used to protect broodstock and produce disease-resistant progeny. This effort intends to: (1) adopt standardized immunization techniques; (2) examine the issues faced by fish farmers during GSFP implementation; and (3) increase tilapia farmers' production and income. The activity produced positive outcomes, including: (1) interactive discussions with tilapia farmers on adhering to GSFP standards in their aquaculture practices; (2) knowledge transfer on fish vaccination to the community; (3) fostering an understanding within the Fish Farmers Group on the importance of fish vaccination; and (4) identifying the lack of public awareness regarding hygienic water.

Abstract

The goal of technology refresh initiatives is to spread awareness of suggested technological advancements, particularly those created by the Maritime and Fisheries Research and Development Agency. However, there is a disparity between the technological needs at the community level and the available technology in different regions. The extent of this disparity varies depending on the region's potential and the carrying capacity of its human resources. A number of inferences can be drawn, including: 1. According to the participants, this activity is very helpful for expanding knowledge, particularly in the area of technology, which serves as the basis for technical advise. With varying degrees of progress, participants' knowledge increased. Naturally, this has to do with the participants' varied educational and professional backgrounds (capture and aquaculture), as well as the potential of the fisheries in their respective regions and the range of information offered.

Abstract

All cadets in the Fishery Product Processing Engineering and Fish Cultivation study programs participated in Community Service Activities (PKM), with the goal of understanding, adapting, and identifying various activities in the cultivation and processing areas in order to train themselves before entering the workforce. The goals of this PKM activity are to learn about the characteristics of the Nila Village cultivation and processing area, Banjarwaru Hamlet, Kawali District, Ciamis Regency, as well as the social and economic income activities of the Nila Village cultivating and processing community. According to the findings of this activity, the types of fish processing businesses in Nila Kawali Village are jellyfish products, kurucuk, gemil noodles, tilapia ice cream, and tilapia fish sticks; POKLAHSAR business activities do not have fixed income and expenses because products are processed as orders are received; and all products do not have a long shelf life because they do not contain preservatives.

Abstract

Naturally, greater agricultural output is necessary to satisfy society's growing demands. Increasing the density of stockings is one possible endeavor. The production of fish will increase with the stocking density in a cultivation container, which will also affect the amount of money made. While high fish density affects low growth and increased stress on fish, low density affects good growth and high survival rates but low production per area. Understanding the social and economic income activities of the cultivating and processing community in Nila Village, Banjarwaru Hamlet, Kawali District, Ciamis Regency, as well as the characteristics of the cultivator area—Banjarwaru Hamlet, Kawali District, Ciamis Regency—are the goals of this PKM activity. As a result of this effort, six groups of cultivators have been formed in Kawali Nila Village, Banjarwaru Hamlet, Kawali District, Ciamis Regency. Nila Village raises tilapia, a fish species that goes through three stages: hatching, nursery, and grow-out.

Abstract

The use of kedawung seed (Parkia timoriana) in Curahnongko Village, Tempurejo District, Jember Regency, is relatively low due to a lack of available foods containing kedawung seed. One possible option is to include kedawung seed as an ingredient in desserts like brownies. The program to use kedawung seeds as functional food is carried out in four stages: a) development of the TOGA Conservation Group; b) socialization; c) traditional socialization and demonstration program; and d) monitoring and evaluation. This program has improved TOGA Conservation Group's understanding, skill, and ability to use kedawung seed as an extra ingredient in brownies.

Abstract

Harjomulyo Village, located in Jember district, covers 38.44 km2 and is 700 meters above sea level. Given its geographical location, Harjomulyo has promise in the agricultural and plantation sectors, which is aided by the presence of wadung plantations that surround the majority of the communities. Despite this promise, the author believes that some issues, particularly those concerning education, life skills, and economics, require further discussion. Based on the problem identification, the remedy was bundled into the "Sekolah Perempuan Perkebunan" program. The purpose of this program is to create a platform for women in Harjomulyo Village to improve their reading ability, life skills, and capacity to manage and improve the quality of their families. The implementation process is separated into three stages: preparation and recognition of potential, challenges, and community needs; training and provision; and measurement and evaluation. The program's results include improved living skills such as making eco-prints, aromatherapy candles, and banana leaf purses. The initiative concludes with the establishment of a "Sekolah Perempuan Perkebunan," which will help Harjomulyo Village residents enhance their life skills.

Abstract

Based on data collected by the Magelang Regency Livestock and Fisheries Service, in 2021 the average consumption of fishery products will reach 25,000 tons and caught fish will reach 300 tons (Tribun Jogja, 2022). This data is inversely related to the level of fish consumption in Magelang Regency. The level of fish consumption needs to be increased because it greatly affects health and nutritional intake, especially for children and the elderly. Based on this data, efforts are needed to increase fish consumption. One of them is that the use of the yard can be optimized to meet daily food needs, or what is often called sustainable food. The application method given in the field is by providing training to the women of Pringtali hamlet Rt 04/Rw 02 and Rt 03/Rw 02. Abstract
