Abstract

Purpose This community service was initiated to address the lack of standardization and limited engagement in the implementation of Safety Talk sessions at PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Divre II West Sumatera. Despite being conducted regularly, these HSE communication activities lacked clear structure, facilitator guidance, and evaluation mechanisms, which hindered their effectiveness in fostering a preventive safety culture. Methods - The activity adopted a participatory and qualitative approach, involving field observation during a student internship, stakeholder interviews, and collaborative intervention design. Key stages included needs assessment, SOP drafting, facilitator training design, internal coaching sessions, and validation. Result and Discussions - The intervention successfully produced a structured Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) tailored to the organization’s Safety Talk program, alongside a facilitator training module to enhance communication skills and session delivery. Internal coaching sessions validated the practicality of both tools, leading to increased engagement and positive feedback from participants. The program documentation was formally handed over to the organization as part of the knowledge transfer process. Conclusion - The integration of SOP and facilitator training transformed Safety Talk from a routine obligation into a strategic platform for HSE awareness and behavioral change. To sustain impact, continuous monitoring, institutional support, and regular capacity building are recommended. This model offers a replicable framework for strengthening HSE communication in other high-risk industries.

Abstract

Purpose This community service program aims to assist the Budi Pekerti Luhur Women's Sharia Savings and Loan Cooperative (KSPPS-P BUPELUR) in understanding its operational systems, preparing financial reports, and improving cooperative administration. During its eight years of operation, this cooperative still faces a number of challenges in financial management, such as manual financial recording, discrepancies between records and actual transactions, and errors in recording depreciation and amortization that do not match the amount of assets owned. In addition, the cooperative's management also experiences difficulties in bookkeeping and archiving financial documents. Methods - In this community service program, various methods will be used to provide solutions to the problems faced, including lectures, interactive discussions, independent assignments, role plays, and evaluations. These methods are expected to improve participants' understanding and skills in cooperative financial management. Result and discussions - The community service team will provide education and training covering various important aspects of the cooperative system, namely: Introduction to the cooperative operational system, Cooperative member registration procedures, Management of savings transactions, Management of financing transactions, Preparation of cooperative journals, Preparation of general journals, Preparation of financial reports, Management and regulation of administrative systems. The material presented in this training will refer to the Tri Nga philosophy, namely Ngerti (understanding), Ngrasa (feeling), and Nglakoni (doing). This approach aims to ensure that participants not only gain theoretical understanding, but also feel the importance of good financial management and apply it in their daily practices. Conclusion - Through this program, participants are expected to gain a better understanding of preparing financial statements based on Financial Accounting Standards for Private Entities (SAK EP). In addition, they will also be guided in recording depreciation and amortization of assets more accurately and improving their skills in bookkeeping and archiving financial documents systematically using digital technology, such as Google Drive and spreadsheets. Thus, cooperatives can manage their finances more efficiently, transparently, and in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose Ngudal Tourism Village in Tawangmangu, Central Java, possesses high potential for nature-based tourism due to its scenic landscapes and cultural richness. However, its digital presence and promotional strategies remain limited. This community service program aimed to enhance the digital marketing capacity of local tourism stakeholders through social media-based training. Methods - Fifteen participants—including homestay owners, youth representatives, culinary business actors, and village officials—were trained in content creation, platform management, audience engagement, and digital branding. The training adopted a participatory approach involving workshops, simulations, and mentoring. Result and discussions - As a result, participants demonstrated significant improvements in digital literacy, with post-training assessments showing a 47% increase in knowledge. The village launched official Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube accounts, achieving over 300 organic followers and substantial content engagement within one month. Economic impacts included increased homestay bookings and product inquiries via social media. A digital task force was formed to ensure sustainability. Conclusion - This program illustrates the potential of social media as a transformative tool for rural tourism promotion and recommends replicating such models in other under-promoted villages to foster inclusive digital development.
