Abstract

Capability of management is a determinant of business competitiveness. One of the problems of SMIs in Indonesia is the weakness of managerial capabilities of entrepreneurs, so that many businesses arise but at the same time there are manybusiness are collaps. Community service activities aim to keep the IKM survival on business competition. The partners that are fostered are the Dakak-Dakak Bundo Pariangan Business and the Tungku Dakak-Dakak Nila Business. Both partners produce and sell Dakak-dakak cakes, which are special foods of the Simabur region, Pariangan sub-district, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra. The problems of the partners at production side are: not have production machines and PIRT certificates and halal certificates from MUI. While from the management aspect is packaging that is still simple using ordinary plastic which is tied to a rubber band at the end, a store display whose arrangement is less attractive. The method of implementing activities is in the form of training and coaching that is carried out for eight months. The results of the activities include providing rice milling machines accompanied by training in use, repairs and maintenance, publishing of Home Industry Food Certificates (PIRT), Halal certificates from the Indonesian Ulema Council, making good packaging and brands, layouts by displaying storefronts so that the store display is visible interesting.

Abstract

Management is a determining factor for business success, both human resources management, marketing, or finance. One of the problems in Human Resource Management for traders is the low achievement to improve business performance. This activity aims to increase achievement motivation for retailers. This training lasted for three days and was attended by 50 retailers with the following topics: Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur, Knowing Entrepreneurial Character, and Marketing. The training participants were very enthusiastic about participating in all training activities in the form of lectures, games, discussions, and simulations. This activity was successful, as indicated by the low level of absenteeism training and participants' absorption of the material. Participants were satisfied with the materials, methods, and trainers provided during the training. Retailers are enthusiastic about training activities because the opportunities for participating are very limited. This activity is useful in increasing the knowledge and motivation of retailers.   Abstrak: Manajemen usaha merupakan faktor penentu keberhasilan usaha, baik manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia, pemasaran ataupun keuangan. Salah satu permasalahan dibidang Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia bagi pedagang pengecer adalah rendahnya semangat berprestasi sehingga keinginan untuk meningkatkan kinerja usaha rendah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi/achievement motivation  pedagang pengecer. Pelatihan ini berlangsung selama 3 hari yang diikuti oleh 50 pedagang pengecer  dengan materi:  Menjadi Wirausaha yang Sukses, Mengenal Karakter Wirausaha dan  Marketing. Peserta sangat antusias mengikuti semua kegiatan pelatihan baik yang berbentuk ceramah, games, diskusi dan simulasi. Kegiatan pelatihan ini berhasil dengan baik yang dibuktikan dengan  rendahnya tingkat absensi peserta dan tingginya daya serap peserta terhadap materi pelatihan. Peserta puas dengan materi, metoda dan trainer yang disediakan selama pelatihan. Pedagang pengecer antusias dalam kegiatan pelatihan  karena kesempatan mengikuti pelatihan yang sangat terbatas.  Kegiatan ini bermanfaat dalam menambah ilmu wawasan serta motivasi pedagang pengecer.

Abstract

In order to ensure the continuity and progress of the company, leaders are required to be able to carry out various special management of employees. One way is to pay attention to the application of culture in the organizational environment. The purpose of this study is to review the position of implementing the clan culture used by PT Sang Hyang Seri and provide recommendations for improving the applied clan culture. The method of this research is evaluative research. The data used in this study came from questionnaires and direct observation of the research object. Based on the results of the assessment using the Likert scale method, it can be seen the position of each element of organizational culture. The results of the study show that there are three elements of culture that are in a "strong" position including, elements of clarity, elements of performance and elements of cohesion. While in the "medium" position three elements were found, namely the element of intensity, the element of dissemination and the element of ritual. Overall it is stated that PT Sang Hyang Seri has implemented a clan culture which is in a "strong" position with a total interval score of 65.00%.

Abstract

AbstractsThis study analyzes the effect of population growth on economic growth in the Solok district. The data used in this study is secondary data in the form of economic growth and population growth of Solok Regency from 2011 to 2022. This data was released by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Solok Regency. Data analysis was performed using simple Regression. The results showed that: Y=-2.158" + 81.832X with a sig value of < 0.05; This means that population growth has a positive and significant effect on economic growth. An r value of 0.910 indicates a strong correlation between population and economic growth. A relationship is vital if the value of r is close to 1.Keywords: Population growth; economic growth; Solok district; simple regression  AbstrakPenelitian ini menganalisa pengaruh pertumbuhan penduduk terhadap petumbuhan ekonomi di kabupaten Solok.  Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder berupa pertumbuhan ekonomi dan pertumbuhan penduduk Kabupaten Solok dari tahun 2011 sampai dengan tahun 2022. Data ini diterbitkan oleh Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kabupaten Solok. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Y=-2,158" + 81,832X dengan nilai sig < 0,05; Artinya pertumbuhan penduduk berpengaruh positif dan signifikaan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi.  Nilai r sebesar 0,910 mengindikasikan korelasi yang kuat antara jumlah penduduk dengan pertumbuhan ekonomi. Suatu hubungan dikatakan kuat jika nilai r mendekati 1.Kata kunci: Pertumbuhan penduduk; pertumbuhan ekonomi; kabupaten Solok; regresi sederhana.

Abstract

Efforts to improve employee performance include paying attention to employee job stress levels. This study took the object of research at the Department of Bina Marga, Cipta Karya and Tata Ruang of West Sumatra. The focus of this research is on the field of Bina Marga, which is the field of technical implementation of planning, construction and maintenance of roads and bridges. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work stress on employee performance at the Department of Bina Marga, Cipta Karya and Tata Ruang of West Sumatra. This study used a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires. Respondents examined in this study totaled 51 respondents who were employees of the Bina Marga sector who were obtained using census techniques. Then an analysis of the data obtained using simple linear regression analysis was carried out. The results of this study indicate that the level of work stress is at 55.5% with a fairly good category and employee performance is at 76.3% with a good category. Based on the results of the analysis, work stress has a negative and significant effect on employee performance. Work stress affects employee performance by 25.4%.   Keywords: Job Stress, Employee Performance

Abstract

Good financial reporting is needed so that financial reports are available accurately and on time. Azizah's crackers business is an SME located in Batu Gadang Village, Lubuk Kilangan District, Padang City  West Sumatra Province. One of the problems in this business is that financial recording is still done manually, so it requires a long process and a high error rate and it is difficult to know the cash flow position quickly and accurately. Making good financial reports requires time as well as knowledge and expertise in the field of accounting, but not all business people have good knowledge and skills in this field. For this reason, an application is needed that helps create financial reports. In this community service activity, the SIAPIK Application (Financial Information Reporting Application System) because this application is issued by Bank Indonesia which has the standards of the Indonesian Accounting Association, is free, and can be used for all types of businesses including manufacturing. Method of implementing activities: planning and preparation through surveys or initial interviews with cracker Uzziah leaders to understand needs and problems, Implementation by providing training and assistance in using SIAPIK, Evaluation is carried out by assessing participants abilities in running the SIAPIK application, Monitoring and follow-up assistance by scheduling periodic visits, Reporting by making activity reports. Azizah's crackers employees participated in the training well and smoothly, the SIAPIK application has been installed on their smartphones, and employees can input data, make transactions, and issue business financial reports

Abstract

Franchising has become a popular business model in Indonesia, including in Padang City. Franchising offers entrepreneurs the convenience of starting a business with lower risks compared to building a business from scratch. This study aims to analyze the digital marketing orientation of local franchises operating in Padang city. The research method uses a quantitative approach that uses a questionnaire as the primary data source. The research population is Local Franchise Businesses in Padang city with a sample size of 96 franchise business managers. Purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique is descriptive statistics. The findings provide an explanation of the three aspects of digital marketing orientation that can be drawn three things that need special attention from local franchise entrepreneurs in Padang City, namely the importance of informing all employees that digitalization in marketing activities is important for business progress. This makes all employees have the same interest and have the same responsibility in implementing it, digital marketing performance requires clear indicators, because with clear indicators it can be a reference material for the success of ongoing performance and regular meetings are needed to discuss business digital marketing planning, which can also be a place to evaluate what has been done.

Abstract

Sumatera Barat yang merupakan etnis Minangkabau memiliki pekerjaan utama berdagang. Berdagang tersebut merupakan bagian dari kegiatan berwirausaha. Sebagai etsnis yang sukses dalam mengangkat profesi ini perlu diperkenalkan bagaimana Langkah dan usaha yang dilakukan oleh etnis Minangkabau meciptakan lapangan pekerjaan sebagai wirausaha yang sukses dan sekaligus memasarkan produk-produk unggulan yang menjadi ciri khas Sumatera Barat. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Selayang Community College Malaysia dan Politeknik Sultan Indris Syah Ampang Malaysia. Langkah yang dilakukan mencakup beberapa bagian. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan budaya etnik Minangkabau dalam berwirausaha dan cara mengajarkan mata kuliah Kewirausahaan di Jurusan Administrasi Niaga Politeknik Negeri Padang pada mahasiswa. Tahap yang dilakukan persiapan, berkoordinasi dengan kedua mitra, dan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian. Dengan memperkenalkan produk-produk UMKM yang sukses memasuki pasar dan direncanakan untuk memasuki pasar ekspor ke luar negeri. Transfer pengetahuan tersebut mendapat respon yang baik dari kedua mitra yang ada di Malaysia ini. Diharapkan dengan adanya pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini menambah pengetahuan dan pedoman keberhasilan etnis Minangkabau menciptakan wirausaha yang sukses dalam menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan.

Abstract

Electronic archiving is a development in the field of archives made possible by information technology. The Batu Gadang Village Head Office is a government agency responsible for serving the community and managing community activities. All members of government agencies must possess the ability to properly administer and store documents. However, the Batu Gadang Village office still relies on manual archive storage, and the proficiency of its employees and administration in electronic archive management remains limited. This leads to records piling up in cupboards, making them difficult to find when needed, and resulting in improper maintenance and a lack of guaranteed confidentiality for the stored information. To address this problem, the community service team provided electronic archive training. Participants taking part in the training were advised to be familiar with using computers. The activities included providing training and then facilitating participants to practice using electronic archives directly with the Canon File for Windows tool. Through this training, officers can utilize the Canon File for Windows tool as an electronic archiving solution.

Abstract

The high temperature in Padang City, between 22.90 and 34.80oC, causes air conditioner (AC) to become a necessary equipment to provide cool and comfortable air in every room. The use of AC will have an impact on the need for experts in the field of AC maintenance and repair. This training aimed to provide knowledge and skills to participants regarding AC maintenance and repair, as well as optimizing the use of energy to save operational costs. The methods used in this training were the introduction of theory, demonstration, and practice by a trainer team experienced in the field of AC technology. The training materials provided were the introduction, basic understanding of AC technology, maintenance and repair methods, and energy saving. The training began with a delivery of the practice-supporting theory, in the form of material on AC basic components and working systems. This material was delivered through lecture, discussion, and question and answer session. This was followed by a practice using the AC trainer module. Participants were given an understanding on how to clean the AC (both indoor and outdoor systems), check the working system, observe the malfunction symptoms, and the causes of AC malfunction. This training was attended by two participants, namely the janitors of Musala Arafah in Puri Filano Asri Kubu Dalam, Padang City. The success level of this training was evaluated through oral test, interview, and practice test. The results showed that this training was able to increase the participants' knowledge about observing symptoms and causes of AC malfunction and equip participants with the necessary skills to perform basic AC maintenance and repair.
