Abstract

TThe COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly impacted the field of social science research, necessitating a re-evaluation of research methods and practices. This research explores the transformative efforts of COVID-19 on social science research, focusing on the changes in methodologies and practices that have emerged in response to the pandemic.Existing literature was reviewed on how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected research methods and practices in social sciences. Digital questionnaire was developed to collect primary data from social science researchers indicating the changes they have made in their research methods, the reasons behind these changes, and their perceptions of the effectiveness of these adaptations. Telephonic interviews and focused group discussions were conducted with the selected group of social scientists who have experienced significant changes in their research due to COVID-19. Their experiences, challenges, and innovative solutions they have employed have been explored. Secondary data was also generated from various online and offline platforms. Total 50 social science researchers were surveyed and interviewed. The results of the study shall be helpful to researchers, society, government and policymakers to pay special attention on this particular issue. The main findings and their implications for the field of social science research shall be summarized. The key ways in which the landscape has been reshaped by the COVID-19 pandemic shall be highlighted.

Abstract

The Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram, launched by the Government of India, endeavors to ensure holistic healthcare for children up to the age of 18 years. Given the diverse and often challenging geographical terrain of Shimla District, the deployment of mobile health teams becomes imperative in reaching remote and underserved areas. This research paper investigates the pivotal role played by mobile health teams in the successful implementation of the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (a National Child Health Program) in the context of Shimla District of Himachal Pradesh. The overarching objective of this study is to provide a nuanced understanding of how mobile health teams contribute to the success of this vital public health initiative, specifically tailored to address the health needs of children and adolescents. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing interviews, surveys, and observational data to assess the role of these teams on the children health outcomes in the region. The study places particular emphasis on preventive and promotive healthcare measures implemented by these mobile health teams. By focusing on early detection of health issues and timely interventions, the research aims to assess the overall improvement in health outcomes among the targeted demographic. The findings of this research are expected to contribute significantly to the existing body of knowledge on public health interventions, specifically within the realm of child health. The nuanced understanding of the operational dynamics of mobile health teams in Shimla District can serve as a blueprint for refining similar initiatives in diverse geographic and demographic settings. Moreover, the insights garnered from this study may inform policy decisions aimed at enhancing the efficiency and impact of mobile health teams in the broader landscape of public health programs.

Abstract

Renowned as a multifaceted figure in the 20th century, Sri Aurobindo engaged deeply in aesthetics, poetics, and Vedic and Upanishadic interpretations. His extensive writings spanned various disciplines, emphasizing the significance of literary discourse shaped by figurative thought in understanding human experience. This paper explores the pivotal role of metaphor in both common and literary discourse, offering a contemporary analysis of Sri Aurobindo's poetry. His philosophical contributions present an alternative to foundational ontological and epistemological assumptions in contemporary scientific thought. Using compelling metaphors, Sri Aurobindo illustrates the concealed depths of the mind and ego, comparing them to a temple crown emerging from waves. He envisions humanity as more than its conscious awareness, describing the momentary personality as a mere bubble on the vast ocean of existence. Sri Aurobindo's pursuit of elevated states of consciousness underscores his commitment to transformative exploration.

Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the impact of Dracaena mannii leaf meal on the growth performance and haematological and biochemical indices of Hubbard broiler chicks. 200 chicks were divided into four groups, each with a different diet. The diets were based on corn-soya meal without Dracaena mannii leaf (DMF), with DMF added at different amounts. The study found that DMF contained flavonoids, phenols, tannins, alkaloids, steroids, and saponins. The average daily feed intake was similar in diets 3 and 4, but significantly higher than in diets 1 and 2, with no mortality recorded. The diets significantly influenced pack cell volume, red blood cell, haemoglobin, white blood cell, leucocytes, and monocyte counts, but within the optimal range for healthy birds. The study concluded that DMF supplementation up to 600 g can optimize broiler performance without negatively impacting their health status. The study aimed to investigate the impact of Dracaena mannii leaf meal on the growth performance and haematological and biochemical indices of Hubbard broiler chicks. 200 chicks were divided into four groups, each with a different diet. Abstract

The chicken sector is more vulnerable to antimicrobial resistance, the buildup of toxic or dangerous residues in meat and eggs, and environmental contamination as a result of the widespread and careless use of antibiotics in most nations. Natural solutions, such as medicinal plants, are required to address these issues. These plants have been shown to contain a variety of phytochemicals, including phenols, flavonoids, terpenoids, tannins, alkaloids, and saponins. These chemicals endow plants with a multitude of medicinal qualities. One of the many alternatives to antibiotics is Prosopis africana extract, which includes stem bark, leaves, roots, and their essential oils. Antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-helminthic, antiviral, hepatoprotective, immune-stimulatory, and antimicrobial properties are among the many pharmacological activity of P. africana preparations. They are also an abundant supplier of vital minerals and amino acids that support enzyme function and provide defense against the effects of oxidative stress. Using extracts from Prosopis africana is the way forward for effective chicken production, environmental sustainability and food hygiene.

Abstract

This study explores the paradigm change that artificial intelligence (AI) has brought about in the context of libraries in the age of intelligent information. A quantitative survey was carried out, and a methodical description of the study's procedure is provided. The research sampling strategy, data gathering, data collection tool, and statistical analysis are all included in this quantitative approach. Additionally, a random sampling procedure was used to choose the study sample. Similar to this, questionnaires were employed as response instruments to collect data in both physical and digital formats. Findings from the investigation showed that 45% of institutions are private nature and 50% institutions shows the status public. 1-10 years’ experience were 62% respondents, 11-20 years’ experience were 31% and only 8% of respondents were 21 years above experience. The study emphasizes how important it is to create a welcoming and open library ecosystem where artificial intelligence (AI) enhances operational effectiveness while protecting user privacy and pleasure. All things considered, this thorough analysis highlights the many ways that artificial intelligence (AI) might transform libraries and meet the many demands of their patrons. Looking forward, the article discusses the promising future of AI in libraries, envisioning AI-powered chatbots, predictive analytics, and virtual helpers as integral components of an AI-driven library landscape.
