Abstract

Currently, social media has become a communication tool that exists in almost every aspect of life. Social Media marketing has become a form of marketing that is very relevant with advances in social web technology. A Social Media Specialist has an important role in increasing the existence of a TikTok account to expand the brand awareness. The focus of this thesis is to highlight the role of Social Media Specialists in developing TikTok Adlab UI brand awareness, outline the message to form Adlab brand awareness, and describe the content strategy implemented. The methodology used in this writing includes observation and interviews as primary methods and literature study as secondary methods. Adlab UI, is an advertising agency based on collaboration between practitioners and academics from the Creative Advertising Study Program, Vocational Education Program, Universitas Indonesia. As a Social Media Specialist at Adlab, the main duties include content planning, ideation, production and regular evaluation of TikTok content. This role also includes developing TikTok content plans, ideation, production, and reporting on TikTok Adlab's social media progress. In order to expand the brand awareness, the Social Media Specialist is also responsible for content management and content pillars. During the period April to May 2024, the Social Media Specialist has posted 10 contents whilst implementing a new strategy by introducing the hashtag #LifeatAdlab to strengthen Adlab's brand awareness. The content strategy that Adlab has implemented has proven effective in expanding brand awareness, as well as making a significant contribution to the overall growth of Adlab's TikTok account.

Abstract

Currently, films are not only a medium for entertainment, but can also be used as a medium for information, persuasion, and even education. Nature conservation is one of the environmental issues that is currently of concern. In a survey conducted by a non-governmental organization, the public paid sufficient attention to protecting biodiversity, flora, and fauna. Wild animal conservation is an issue that will be addressed in this research. The film "Petualangan Sherina 2" is a musical genre film that focuses on the importance of the conservation of wild animals, namely orangutans. This research will discuss how a film can be used as a communication medium to educate the public in building awareness of wild animal conservation. Through descriptive qualitative research with literature studies, it is hoped that this research can provide an overview of films that can be used as educational media. The research results show that films can be used as educational media to increase awareness of wild animal conservation. The expected action is a change in mindset and community participation in the sustainability of wild animal conservation. Keywords: Films, Educational Media, Awareness, Wild animal conservation

Abstract

Down syndrome is a condition of physical and mental developmental delays caused by chromosomal abnormalities. Children with Down syndrome generally show differences in motor development compared to other children, including delays in developing independence in daily activities. This study evaluates An. N, a 9-year and 9-month-old child with Down syndrome, who has issues with independence, particularly in toileting activities. To address this issue, an occupational therapy program was implemented using behavior modification and sensory integration approaches. The behavior modification techniques employed included positive reinforcement and prompting (physical, verbal, gestural, modeling), while the sensory integration techniques involved play. The results of the study showed that after 20 therapy sessions, An. N's ability in toileting activities significantly improved, as reflected by the change in the WeeFIM assessment score for the toileting component from 1 (Total assistance) to 5 (Supervision). This indicates an improvement in the child's independence in daily activities.

Abstract

Indonesia finds tax amnesty as a reliable funding alternative to develop a sustainable economy. Since 1964, Indonesia has implemented five tax amnesty programs. The latest two programs would offer lower amnesty compensation rates if taxpayers repatriated offshore assets back to Indonesia. However, the tax amnesty repatriation policy merely contributed minimal amounts of repatriated assets and low number of participants. Consequently, it failed to raise sufficient liquidity, fiscal revenues, tax compliance and economic growth. Hence, the study aims to (1) determine the justification and mechanism for the asset repatriation policy and (2) criticize the repatriation policy implementation. Applying interpretive and comparative analysis, the study found four reasons why the policy has yet to be optimally implemented. First, the rates for Compensation Money or final income tax on repatriated assets were excessive and did not differ much from those applied on declared offshore assets. Second, selecting strategic sectors entitled to the lowest repatriation rates worsened the government's inconsistency in energy transition policies. Third, inadequate supervision and enforcement of tax law due to lack of an integrated verification system. Finally, the repatriation program had minimum footing from other government agencies responsible for investments in Indonesia, hindering a stable and attractive investment ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the differences in TikTok and Instagram user behavior, useful for marketing strategy planning, consumer behavior research, and content creation suitable for TikTok and Instagram platforms in the Company X account. The results of this study are expected to make a positive contribution to the understanding of the role of social media and how differences in user behavior can shape further transformation in the evolving digital ecosystem. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method that compares two advertising contents uploaded on Tik Tok social media and Instagram social media. The objects contained in this study include TikTok, Instagram, and users of both social media platforms. From this research it can be concluded that content creation for TikTok and Instagram requires several different treatments due to differences in user behavior, both for the promotion, education, entertainment, and event categories.

Abstract

In the digital age, fostering a culture of critical thinking is imperative for all societal groups, including the elderly. However, no sufficient effort does appear to resolve the lack of critical thinking among elderly. Facing with this challenge, Tular Nalar program developed unique curriculum which specifically cultivate critical thinking skills among elderly. The designed curriculum become the backbone of capacity buildings which targeted elderly in 38 provinces of Indonesia. This curriculum is accessible to everyone, designed to enhance critical thinking abilities, and enabling individuals, especially the elderly, to identify, analyze, and make rational decisions in filtering information. The paper presented here describes the journey of Tular Nalar in designing the curriculum which employing a qualitative approach research. Three phases of designing curriculum were carried out, started from literature review, focus groups discussions, and pilot projects. During the process, three locations which represent the diversity of Indonesia communities were selected. Padang, Solo, and Ambon become the site of focus groups. Meanwhile, Yogyakarta was chosen for pilot groups to test the curriculum design before finalised for wider audience. As the first study in the country which underlined efforts to construct the curriculum for elderly, the result of the research contributes our understanding about certain issues regarding digital activities as practised by elderly, and how to develop skills and cultivate the culture of critical thinking among them.

Abstract

Perubahan iklim menjadi salah satu masalah yang menjadi perhatian khusus bagi beberapa negara, termasuk Indonesia. Penggunaan energi secara terus menerus akan berdampak negatif, yaitu krisis energi dan pencemaran lingkungan berupa emisi karbon. Salah satu solusi yang dapat diimplementasikan untuk mengurangi emisi karbon yaitu dengan menggunakan energi alternatif. Salah satu penggunaan energi alternatif yaitu energi matahari. Energi matahari dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai energi listrik ramah lingkungan. Hal ini dikarenakan tidak adanya dampak negatif dalam penggunaannya serta mendukung adanya ketahanan energi baik di masa sekarang maupun di masa mendatang. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang bagaimana cara mengurangi emisi karbon dengan memanfaatkan energi matahari menggunakan photovoltaic. Metode yang digunakan untuk menyusun artikel ini adalah metode kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan staf dari PT Wijaya Karya Industri Energi. Selain itu, artikel ini menjelaskan penggunaan photovoltaic dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi sirkular di Indonesia. Penelitian ini juga diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan bagi masyarakat Indonesia bahwa penggunaan photovoltaic dapat membantu mengurangi emisi karbon di Indonesia serta dapat membantu meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi sirkular di Indonesia.

Abstract

The "Backstage" film is an Indonesian film that addresses the issue of beauty privilege wrapped in a drama genre. Beauty privilege often occurs in Indonesia, creating injustices in society. This film tells the story of two siblings pursuing their careers, but injustice occurs in terms of popularity due to the differences in appearance between Sandra and Elsa. The problem lies in the difference in treatment they receive based on their conformity to beauty standards. This study aims is to understand and analyze the meaning of beauty privilege as perceived by the audience after watching the film "Backstage". The theories used in this study are mass media theory, film theory, and reception analysis. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method using Stuart Hall's reception analysis. The data collection techniques used in this study are semi-structured interviews with five informants and observations. The research results indicate that four informants are categorized in the dominant-hegemonic position, one informant in the negotiated position, and no informants are categorized in the oppositional position. According to the informants, the "Backstage" film has well-represented the issue of beauty privilege, but one informant felt that the film's plot is still difficult to understand.
