Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived ease of use, e-service quality, promotion, and perceived risk on the interest in using e-wallets among students in Yogyakarta. The background of this study is based on the rapid development of financial technology that is driving changes in people's transaction behavior towards a cashless system. Although e-wallet use is increasing, the intensity of use is still relatively low, so further study is needed to determine the factors influencing interest in using it. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through the distribution of questionnaires to 110 respondents who are active students in Yogyakarta and e-wallet users. The data analysis technique used is Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results show that partially, perceived ease of use and e-service quality do not have a significant effect on interest.

Abstract

International internship programs are a strategic means of developing vocational students' competencies in facing the demands of the global job market. However, the success of these programs is not solely determined by the students' technical abilities, but also by their ability to adapt to the work culture of the host country. This study aims to analyze in-depth the adaptation process of work culture of Manado State Polytechnic interns at Gensen Holdings, Japan, covering six main aspects: cross-cultural communication, internalization of Japanese work culture values, psychological flexibility, team integration, work discipline, and the development of performance and work ethic. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with three informants selected purposively: a female intern, a field supervisor (Head Chef) from Gensen Holdings, and a supervising lecturer from Manado State Polytechnic. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model and validated through source and technique triangulation. The results show that the adaptation process occurs in three relatively consistent phases: a passive observation phase in the first month, an active adjustment phase in the second to third months, and an integration phase in the fourth month until the end of the internship. Japanese language barriers and differences in communication styles are the biggest obstacles to initial adaptation, while psychological flexibility and interpersonal initiative are key drivers of success. This study recommends strengthening pre-departure training programs, including functional Japanese language training in a work context, simulations of the Japanese work environment, and a more structured psychological support system during the internship.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital marketing strategy on sales improvement at Teman Sejarii Accessories Business in Manado City, North Sulawesi. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 consumers of Teman Sejarii using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis includes validity test (Pearson Product Moment), reliability test (Cronbach Alpha), classical assumption tests (normality and linearity), simple linear regression analysis, partial t-test, and coefficient of determination. The digital marketing strategy variable (X) was measured through four indicators: Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Online Promotion, and Customer Engagement. The sales improvement variable (Y) was measured through four indicators: Sales Volume, Purchase Frequency, Sales Growth, and Revenue Increase. The results indicate that digital marketing strategy has a positive and significant effect on sales improvement (t-count = 18.802; Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05). The coefficient of determination R² = 0.686 indicates that 68.6% of the variation in sales improvement is explained by digital marketing strategy, while 31.4% is influenced by other factors. Instagram content visual aspects emerged as the strongest factor (85.6%), while the giveaway program needs improvement (73.0%). This study recommends that Teman Sejarii optimize visual content, enhance customer interaction programs, and develop more structured digital promotion strategies to maximize conversion from engagement to actual transactions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Omotenashi cultural values in enhancing guest service in the Kitchen Division of Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Hotel Fugetsu, Japan. Omotenashi, as Japan's distinctive hospitality philosophy, is embodied through three principal dimensions: Shitsurai (readiness and aesthetics of the service environment), Furumai (staff conduct and etiquette in serving guests), and Shikake (proactive anticipation of guest needs). A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed. Data were collected through one-year participatory observation during an internship, in-depth online interviews with 10 informants comprising kitchen staff, management, and hotel guests, and supporting document analysis. Findings reveal that all three Omotenashi dimensions were systematically and consistently implemented across breakfast buffet, dinner buffet, and live kitchen operations. Shitsurai was executed through rigorous mise en place standards and structured team role-division. Furumai was enacted through the use of keigo (honorific language), deliberate eye contact, and cross-cultural responsiveness. Shikake was realized through hidden menu presentations, live kitchen mini shows, and personalized guest experiences. All five SERVQUAL dimensions (Tangible, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Empathy) were demonstrably fulfilled through these implementations. Principal challenges identified include seasonal guest surges, language barriers, and the ongoing need for value internalization. This research contributes to the development of culture-based service models in the context of premium hotel kitchen operations in Japan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of compensation and the work environment on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable among employees (caddies) at Rancamaya Golf & Country Club in Bogor. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. The study population consisted of 200 employees (caddies), while the sample of 133 respondents was determined using Yamane’s formula with simple random sampling. Data collection was conducted by distributing a questionnaire using a Likert scale. Data analysis was performed using IBM SPSS Statistics, including validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, path analysis, t-tests, the coefficient of determination, and the Sobel test to examine the mediating effect. The results of the study indicate that compensation and the work environment have a positive effect on job satisfaction. Furthermore, the work environment and job satisfaction have a positive effect on employee performance, whereas compensation does not have a direct effect on employee performance. The results of the mediation test indicate that job satisfaction mediates the effect of compensation on employee performance and mediates the effect of the work environment on employee performance. These findings suggest that improving a fair compensation system, fostering a conducive work environment, and achieving high job satisfaction are key factors in enhancing employee performance at Rancamaya Golf & Country Club in Bogor.

Abstract

The fuel price (BBM) rationalization and adjustment policy implemented in early 2026 significantly affected the operational cost structure of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the impact of the 2026 fuel price increase on the income level and business resilience of factory catering MSMEs in the Industrial Area of Bekasi Regency through a qualitative approach using a literature study method. Data were collected from national scientific journal articles, media reports, official reports from economic institutions, and public policy documents published within the last five years (2021–2026). The literature review results show that the fuel price increase transmits a double-squeeze effect in the form of a surge in daily operational logistics costs and inflation in the prices of basic food raw material commodities. In the factory catering sector within industrial areas, this pressure is aggravated by the phenomenon of contractual price rigidity with manufacturing corporations, which prevents the instant transfer of cost burdens to end consumers. The implication is a massive decline in net profit margins. To sustain business continuity, the literature identifies several tactical measures including menu engineering, collective supply-chain efficiency, and contract renegotiation based on flexible clauses. This study concludes that local government policy intervention is important, in the form of guaranteeing food supply stability and providing logistics incentives for strategic MSME sectors in industrial areas.
