The journal invites original, significant, and rigorous inquiry into all subjects within or across disciplines related to the performing arts. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana kecemasan menjadi pijakan karya tari. Cemplang merupakan koreografi kelompok dengan tujuh penari yang berpijak dari pengalaman empiris saat mengalami kecemasan. Secara spesifik, kecemasan tersebut berasal dari faktor internal dan faktor eksternal ketika dirasa tidak mampu melakukan suatu hal yang tidak biasanya (wagu: Bahasa Jawa). Kecemasan merupakan bagian dari emosi manusia yang merespons saraf somatic, pada saat mengalaminya muncul ketegangan pada area bahu, sehingga gerak utama dalam karya ini bersumber dari bahu. Penciptaan karya tari ini menggunakan metode Moving from Within: A New Method for Dance Making oleh Hawkins. Metode tersebut terdiri dari 5 tahap, yaitu merasakan, menghayalkan, eksplorasi, pembentukan, dan evaluasi. Karya tari Cemplang sebuah karya baru yang berpijak pada gerak bahu ke depan, ke samping kanan, ke samping kiri, ke belakang, dan memutar. Dinamika pertunjukan dibangun melalui pembagian segmen dengan pengembangan pola gerak dasar, ruang, tenaga, dan waktu. Proses latihan sebanyak 58 kali menghasilkan sembilan motif unik yang berpijak dari teknik gerak bahu. Struktur penyajian karya ini terdiri dari 4 segmen. Setiap segmen memiliki intensitas gerak yang kuat dengan pengolahan variasi motif dasar. Karya ini ingin menyampaikan perasaan cemas yang berakibat area bahu menegang dengan kuat dan tubuh bergerak rileks agar tidak terjadi cemas berlebihan. Cemplang: Anxiety-Based ChoreographyThe research aims to see how anxiety becomes the basis for creating dance work. Cemplang is a group choreography with seven dancers based on empirical experiences when experiencing anxiety. Specifically, this anxiety comes from internal factors and external factors when one feels unable to do something that is not usual (wagu: Javanese). Anxiety is part of human emotions that responds to the somatic nerves, when experiencing it tension appears in the shoulder area, so the main movement in this work originates from the shoulders. This dance work was created using the Moving from Within: A New Method for Dance Making method by Hawkins. This method consists of 5 stages, namely feeling, imagining, exploring, forming and evaluating. The Cemplang dance work is a new work that is based on moving the shoulders forward, to the right, to the left, backwards and in circles. The dynamics of the performance are built through segment division with the development of basic movement patterns, space, energy and time. The exercise process 58 times resulted in nine unique motifs based on shoulder movement techniques. The presentation structure of this work consists of 4 segments. Each segment has a strong movement intensity with variations in the basic motif. This work wants to convey a feeling of anxiety which results in the shoulder area tightening strongly and the body moving to relax so that excessive anxiety does not occur.

Abstract

Pendidikan memainkan peran krusial dalam membentuk masa depan individu, dan setiap anak berhak mendapatkan pendidikan dasar. Namun, terdapat kesenjangan yang signifikan dalam kualitas dan akses pendidikan, termasuk pendidikan musik, yang dapat berdampak negatif pada perkembangan anak-anak. Kesenjangan ini disebabkan oleh akses yang tidak merata terhadap sumber daya pengajaran musik, prioritas dan kebijakan sekolah yang lebih mengutamakan mata pelajaran akademis, serta faktor sosial ekonomi yang mempengaruhi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji kualitas dan penerapan aransemen dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler drumband. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif musikologis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan di SD Paliyan II Gunungkidul, yang terletak di Desa Karangduwet, Kecamatan Paliyan, Kabupaten Gunungkidul, DI Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan musikal siswa di SD Paliyan II berkembang dengan baik melalui penerapan repertoar drumband yang sudah diaransemen. Ini terlihat dari pemahaman musik, nada, irama, ketukan, serta meningkatnya semangat dan antusiasme dalam berlatih. Bentuk aransemen repertoar drumband yang dipelajari siswa adalah bentuk lagu tiga bagian (A A’ B C C’).Kata kunci: Drumband, Bentuk musik, Kecerdasan musik, RepertoarAbstractEducation plays a crucial role in shaping an individual's future, and every child has the right to basic education. However, there is a significant disparity in the quality and access to education, including music education, which can negatively impact children's development. This gap is caused by unequal access to music teaching resources, school priorities and policies that favor academic subjects, and socioeconomic factors that influence access. The purpose of this study is to examine the quality and implementation of arrangements in extracurricular drum band activities. The research method used is qualitative musicological research. Data collection was conducted at SD Paliyan II Gunungkidul, located in Desa Karangduwet, Kecamatan Paliyan, Kabupaten Gunungkidul, DI Yogyakarta. The results of the study show that the musical intelligence of students at SD Paliyan II has developed well through the implementation of arranged drum band repertoire. This is evident in their understanding of music, notes, rhythm, and beats, as well as their increased enthusiasm and motivation in practice. The form of the drum band repertoire arrangement studied by the students is a three-part song form (A A’ B C C’).Keywords: Drumband, Musical forms, Musical intelligence, Repertoire
