Abstract

The prevalence of anemia in Indonesia, namely in teenager women, was 26.50% and in women of childbearing age by 26.9%. In addition to eating patterns, teenagers were now starting to depend on the development of existing technology. Lifestyle had an impact on the incidence of anemia. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of gadgets on the incidence of anemia in teenager girls. This research was an analytical survey study with a cross-sectional design, conducted from June to August 2019 at SMK 1 Kota Tegal. The sampling technique used was total sampling with a sample of 40 young women in the Department of Catering. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire, while data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate with chi-square. The results showed that the use of gadgets for 4-5 hours/day had anemia as much as 55.6%, and 78.9% of anemia in the use of gadget 2-3 hours/day. The use of gadgets with a duration of 4-5 hours/day and poor eating patterns as much as 88.9% and 57.9% of respondents on the duration of use of 2-3 hours/day. There is an influence between the duration of the use of gadgets on eating patterns (p-value = 0.005), and there is an influence between the use of gadgets on the incidence of anemia (p-value = 0.037). The more widespread use of gadgets, it is necessary to have support from across sectors such as teachers and parents always to remind and limit smartphone usage. Keywords             : Gadgets, anemia

Abstract

The prevalence of cancer had increased in the last five years. According to the Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2018, the prevalence of cancer in Indonesia reaches 1.79 of 1000 population, up from 2013 as many as 1.4 of 1000 population. The study aimed to describe Breast Self Examination (BSE) for Early Detection of Breast Cancer. Study Stages (i) preparation: disseminating questionnaires through Google form, (b) identifying respondents who have done and never conducted with BSE (c) determining population (d) sampling. Stage (ii) implementation: data collection using a questionnaire and checklist. Stage (iii) Analysis bivariate with Chi-square. Respondents in this study were 100 people. The result of this study that respondents whom BSE Practice well 42% and poorly 58% and there is a significant relationship between information exposure to BSE Practice. Keywords: Behaviour, Practice, Breast Self Examination (BSE)

Abstract

Optimal puerperal care can reduce complications that occur during the puerperium. Information about childbirth care can be obtained through participation in prenatal classes. Through the prenatal class, mothers expected to gain knowledge to change the behavior of mothers regarding postnatal care. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of participation in prenatal class on postpartum behavior. This study was a quantitative study with a descriptive-analytic study through the cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The sample used was 80 postpartum mothers. The data analysis technique used a statistical test using Chi-square tests. The results of the study showed that mothers who attended a prenatal class by 59 (73.8%) and postpartum behavior showed an excellent category of 71 (88.8%). There were significant relationships between class participation in a prenatal class and maternal behavior during postnatal, as indicated by the value of p-value = 0.001. The activeness of mothers participating in a prenatal class can improve maternal behavior in postpartum care to be better and optimal. Keywords: prenatal classes, maternal behavior, postnatal care

Abstract

Anemia among pregnant mothers in Garut Regency in 2018 still appears to be high beyond the national target. The highest rate happened in Sukamulya Public Health Center, and the lowest rate was at Tarogong Public Health Center. One of the factors influencing anemia is the level of knowledge among pregnant mothers. This study aimed to determine the level of knowledge among pregnant mothers on anemia in Sukamulya and Tarogong Public Health Center. The design used in this study was descriptive quantitative. The population in this research was pregnant mothers with anemia in Sukamulya and Tarogong Public Health Center. The sample taken in this study was 69 participants in Sukamulya Public Health Center, and 95 participants in Tarogong Public Health Center gained by accidental sampling technique. The data collection conducted from May to June 2019 and analyzed using univariate. The result showed that there was a difference in the level of knowledge of pregnant mothers on anemia. In Sukamulya Public Health Center, almost 46.44% of participants had a lack of knowledge of the causes of anemia in pregnant mothers, meanwhile, in Tarogong Public Health Center, almost 49.5% had sufficient knowledge of anemia. It concluded that there was a different level of knowledge among pregnant mothers on anemia. Pregnant mothers in Sukamulya categorized had inadequate knowledge and for pregnant mothers in Tarogong categorized had sufficient knowledge about anemia. There is an intended value that the authors suggest, the public health centre must improve the knowledge among pregnant mothers on anemia through health counselling and seminar, especially regarding the knowledge on the cause of anemia among pregnant mothers in Sukamulya Public Health Center. Keywords: Anemia, Pregnant Mothers, Knowledge

Abstract

The Social Insurance Administration Organization or known as BPJS is one form of social protection to ensure the community in order to realize the provision of health insurance and meet the health needs of the community. To realize the 1945 Constitution, article 28 and Law no. 36 of 2009, the government must provide health services that are equitable, fair, and affordable for the people of Indonesia. In the service of pregnant women patients will get satisfaction in the service at the health center both independently and in collaboration, therefore every pregnant woman needs to require at least four visits during the antenatal period, namely one visit during the first trimester, one visit during the second trimester and two times visit during the third trimester. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of BPJS patient services with antenatal care patient satisfaction at the Community Health Center in Tegal City. The study design was descriptive-analytic with the cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all pregnant women in the Community Health Center in Tegal City in July 2019. The sampling technique used in this study was the accidental sampling technique, with the total sample obtained was 70 respondents. The results of this study are the characteristics of respondents about BPJS ownership obtained; all respondents already have BPJS (100%), most respondents were at the gestational age 4-6 months gestation (42.9%), and most respondents were multipara (61.4%). The satisfaction of pregnant women in terms of tangibility, reliability, assurance, responsiveness, and empathy, most respondents were satisfied with ANC services at the Community Health Center in Tegal City.Keywords: BPJS, antenatal care, quality

Abstract

The average anxiety experienced by third-trimester pregnant women is higher than the first and second trimester. Anxiety increases as the gestational age get older. If this condition had not to handle, it could impact on pregnancy and during labour. Efforts to overcome anxiety can be made with music therapy. This therapy is therapy without drugs by playing music to pregnant women. Song rhythm, harmony, and beat 60 beats per minute can make the mother calm. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of anxiety of pregnant women before and after the intervention, then analyze the effectiveness of music therapy in reducing anxiety levels. The method used is a quasi-experiment. The population in this study was third-trimester pregnant women in the Ambarawa Puskesmas area with samples taken by purposive sampling of 30 respondents. Data collection carried out in August 2019. The data not normally distributed, so the analysis carried out using the Wilcoxon test with the results that there were different levels of anxiety before and after treatment with music therapy (p = 0.001). The average anxiety score after being given music therapy dropped to 4.47 from 9.53, although it was still in the mild anxiety category. It can be concluded that music therapy is effective in reducing the anxiety level of pregnant women in the third trimester. Music therapy recommended being applied in the management of anxiety on pregnant women in the third trimester. Key Words: Anxiety Level, Music Therapy, Third-trimester, Pregnant Women

Immunization must be given to all babies in Indonesia. However, the complete primary immunization was still unsuccessful because of the mother’s compliance to immunizing her baby. The study goal was analyzing pertain factor of mother’s compliance in applying complete primary immunization. The study design applies a mixed-method completed by a sequential exploration strategy. The first stage was a quantitative method to 70 mothers that have a baby age of 12-13 months by using simple random sampling; measuring instrument was a questionnaire, then the data analyzed by chi-square and double logistic regression. The second stage was a qualitative method to 10 mothers by applying purposive sampling, guided by in-depth interviews. The study result of the quantitative bivariable analysis method shows knowledge, attitude, motivation, and family support correlate with the mother’s obedience in doing complete primary immunization (p-value 0,001). Multivariable analysis results the dominant affected factor is knowledge (p-value 0,001) with OR 62,21, while motivation with  (p-value 0,007) OR 31,98. Furthermore, the qualitative analysis result shows the mother’s assumption that the healthy baby did not need to be immunized, she did not know that their baby has not immunized yet, the incomplete immunization information, fever worried, lazy, and believe. Vaccine limitation becomes some factors that interfere with complete primary immunization. Thus, the dominant factor of the mother’s obedience is knowledge and motivation. Keywords: Immunization, mother, obedience

Increasing Human Resources by increasing the understanding and knowledge of mothers in giving breast milk was needed to support breastfeeding. Education on breastfeeding booster was expected to help mothers successfully breastfeed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the breastfeeding booster package for breastfeeding mothers in Pekalongan Regency. This research used a Quasi Experiment research design with One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. The population in this study were all breastfeeding mothers in Pekalongan Regency in 2018. This study was conducted in September 2018 to August 2019, with non-probability sampling techniques using cluster sampling with a sample size of 79 respondents. Data analysis in this research was the Wilcoxon test. The results showed a p-value of 0.000 (0.05); this means that there is an effect of the breastfeeding booster package for nursing mothers.
