Abstract

Engineering code of ethics serves as a fundamental moral framework that every engineer must uphold throughout the infrastructure project process. This study aims to analyze the implementation of engineering codes of ethics in infrastructure project processes, identify the challenges encountered, and formulate strategic recommendations to enhance professional ethical compliance in the field. The method employed is a literature review and qualitative analysis of various infrastructure project cases in Indonesia. The results indicate that adherence to the ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers) Code of Ethics and the Indonesian Engineer Code of Ethics (PII) is still inconsistently applied in practice, particularly regarding public safety, professional integrity, and environmental sustainability. Economic pressures, tight project schedules, and weak oversight are identified as the main barriers. This study recommends strengthening ethics education in civil engineering curricula and enforcing stricter sanctions against code of ethics violators.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education requires the support of effective learning strategies, including appropriate learning models, instructional media, adequate learning facilities, and competent educators. One learning strategy that can be implemented is the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by animated video media. The PBL model encourages students to actively participate in the learning process, while animated videos enhance students' interest and engagement during instruction. As a result, students' critical thinking skills improve, enabling them to achieve optimal learning outcomes.Based on previous research, the implementation of the PBL model was found to be less effective because many students were still engaged in unrelated activities, excessive discussions, and paid insufficient attention to the teacher's explanations during the learning process. Consequently, their learning outcomes were not optimal. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by animated video media to improve the learning outcomes of Grade VIII G students at SMP Negeri 1 Kupang Timur. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was conducted in two cycles. The findings indicated an improvement in student learning activities, with the average activity score increasing from 67.85% in Cycle I to 73.21% in Cycle II. Furthermore, the use of animated video media within the syntax of the PBL model proved effective in simplifying abstract biological concepts into more concrete representations. This approach successfully captured students' attention, enhanced their motivation and participation in group activities, and contributed to improved student learning outcomes

Abstract

This study compiles a systematic literature review of service distribution strategies by focusing on key elements such as service distribution channels, direct channels, electronic channels, channel selection, and the role of intermediaries. The dataset is built from a single Scopus query and exported in CSV format. After filtering by title, abstract, keywords, and source metadata, a total of 39 articles published in the period 2020 to 2026 were retained from the initial 72 recordings. This review combines descriptive mapping and qualitative thematic synthesis at the metadata and abstract levels. The findings suggest that the literature has shifted from isolated channel decisions to integrated service ecosystems, with five dominant themes: omnichannel and service distribution strategies, financial and banking services, healthcare and public services, tourism-culture-hospitality, and after-sales systems/products-services. Most studies are quantitative empirical or analytical model-based, while qualitative research and theory development are still limited. In various contexts, the most common explanatory mechanisms are the quality of channel integration, trust, technology acceptance, service coordination, and governance of digital and physical touchpoints. This synthesis shows that service distribution performance is no longer defined by reach or efficiency alone, but rather by how companies align direct, intermediary, and digital channels to create a seamless customer journey and a sustainable value proposition. This review contributes through a consolidated conceptual framework, a structured research map, and a practical agenda for service organizations designing channel architectures in the digital age. Since this review is based on metadata and abstracts of Scopus export results, future research needs to expand the analysis through full-text review and multidata base triangulation.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to comprehend the process of revenue recognition for patients covered by BPJS. This research employs a quantitative descriptive methodology, utilising a case study conducted at the Regional General Hospital dr. H. L.M. Baharuddin, M.Kes. Data collection was performed through interviews and documentation. The acquired data was subsequently examined to ascertain the Hospital's method of revenue recognition for BPJS patients. The research findings indicate that at this particular location, revenue recognition is carried out using an accrual-based accounting system through the implementation of the INA-CBGs (Indonesia Case Base Groups) package application for BPJS patients. This technique is consistent with the guidelines outlined in the Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) 72 regarding revenue generated from contracts with clients. The implementation of the accrual basis enables the Hospital to record income when health services are rendered to patients. The utilisation of the INA-CBGs package as a foundation for billing also aligns with the principles stated in PSAK 72, particularly in terms of quantifying the distribution of transaction charges. This conformity demonstrates that the Hospital being examined has implemented suitable accounting procedures that adhere to relevant standards.

Abstract

Osteoarthritis (OA) in older adults can cause pain, limited mobility, and self-care deficits, thereby interfering with the ability to maintain personal hygiene. Self-care deficits may lead to impaired fulfillment of basic daily needs and reduced quality of life. This study aimed to describe the implementation of personal hygiene education and training for older adults with self-care deficits who have osteoarthritis at the Binjai Elderly Social Service Center (UPTD Pelayanan Sosial Lanjut Usia Binjai). This study employed a descriptive design using a nursing care approach, which included the stages of assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The intervention was conducted over three days through mentoring, health education, and observation involving two older adult participants experiencing self-care deficits. The Barthel Index was used to assess the participants' ability to perform personal hygiene independently. The results showed that the participants' Barthel Index scores improved from 16 and 15 at baseline to 19 and 18 after the intervention, indicating an improvement to a mild level of dependency. In addition, the intervention enhanced the older adults' knowledge, practical skills, self-confidence, and independence while reducing their dependence on others in performing personal hygiene activities. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for older adults with osteoarthritis in implementing appropriate personal hygiene practices and may also contribute to the development of standard operating procedures for nursing and healthcare services.

Abstract

Stroke recurrence remains a significant clinical problem, with 30% of the total 47% of patients at Kajen Regional Hospital experiencing repeated episodes. Post-stroke non-hemorrhagic right hemiparesis often results in pain, sensory impairment, motor dysfunction, coordination and balance deficits, reduced muscle strength, edema, and limitations in functional activity. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of physiotherapy management using Infra Red (IR), Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES), and Exercise Therapy modalities. A descriptive analytical case study was conducted, with data collected through heteroanamnesis and physical examination using standardized instruments: Visual Analog Scale (VAS), dermatome chart, Fugl-Meyer assessment, Manual Muscle Testing (MMT), anthropometry, non-equilibrium test, Berg Balance Scale, and Barthel Index. After four therapy sessions, results demonstrated decreased pain both at rest (VAS 3 to 2) and during movement (VAS 7 to 6), improved sensory function (0 to 1), enhanced motor performance (23 to 24), reduced edema (limb circumference difference 4 cm to 3 cm), better coordination (26 to 27), improved balance (18 to 24), and increased independence (11 to 14). In conclusion, physiotherapy with IR, NMES, and Exercise Therapy is effective in reducing pain and edema, while improving sensory function, coordination, balance, and functional independence. However, muscle strength did not show significant improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of savings and deposits, moderated by mobile banking, on the profitability of conventional commercial banks. The population in this research consists of conventional commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2022–2024 period. The data analysis method used is panel data regression, with the data obtained from secondary sources in the form of monthly and quarterly financial reports of conventional commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2022–2024 period. The results of the study indicate that both independent variables, savings and time deposits, influence profitability. Meanwhile, mobile banking as a moderating variable is able to moderate the relationship between savings and profitability. On the other hand, mobile banking is not able to moderate the effect of time deposits on banking profitability.

Abstract

Sewing skills for women's clothing are a core competency that must be mastered by students in the Fashion Design and Production Vocational Program (DPB) of Indonesian vocational high schools (SMK). Preliminary observations found that a large proportion of Grade X DPB students still had difficulty mastering basic sewing techniques, while the relationship between the use of social media-based video tutorials as an independent learning source and students' actual sewing skills has rarely been examined empirically with rigorous statistical testing. This study aimed to determine (1) the relationship, (2) the effect, and (3) the magnitude of the effect of social media-based video tutorials on women's clothing sewing skills. A quantitative correlational design with simple linear regression was employed. The population and sample consisted of all 35 Grade X DPB students of one vocational high school (total sampling/sampling jenuh). Variable X (use of social media video tutorials) was measured with a 20-item Likert questionnaire covering four indicators (content quality, platform accessibility, usage intensity, direct application), while Variable Y (sewing skills) was measured with a 20-item self-report Likert questionnaire covering four indicators (basic technique understanding, pattern-making, sewing process, final result). Both instruments showed excellent internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha = .957 across all 40 items). Data were analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov (Lilliefors) normality test on the regression residuals, Pearson product-moment correlation, and simple linear regression. Descriptive scores (theoretical range 20-100) showed a mean of 77.6 (SD = 8.8) for Variable X and 75.1 (SD = 11.9) for Variable Y. The regression residuals showed an indication of non-normality (Kolmogorov-Smirnov p = .012), so the t-test and regression results are interpreted as preliminary evidence pending confirmation with non-parametric tests or a larger sample. A significant positive correlation was found (Pearson r = .668, p < .001), and simple linear regression yielded Y = 5.411 + 0.899X (t = 5.153 > t table 2.035; R2 = .446), indicating that the use of social media video tutorials contributed 44.6% to the variance in sewing skills. It is concluded that social media-based video tutorials have a significant positive effect on women's clothing sewing skills among DPB students and can be recommended as a structured supplementary learning medium.
