Abstract

In 2020 there was an increase in internet users from the elementary school level, reaching 35.97%. Children's activity in cyberspace has negative impacts, such as the personal data they have can be spread, and there is a great potential for violations of children's rights. They become targets or victims of cybercrime. According to UNICEF data, in 2017, there were five million child profiles and accounts that hackers in the digital world stole. More and more children are using the Internet, but education regarding personal data security with media that suits children's needs is still limited. Therefore, this research will design, design, and build Android-based interactive comics that will be used as educational media for children about personal data security. This research aims to familiarize oneself with personal data security and protection strategies. The specific objective of this study is to make comics by compiling storyline scenarios according to everyday life practices. This research uses the ADDIE method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). This research produces a collection of comic strips about personal data security packaged in an Android-based application. Based on the test, the perspective of test participants regarding interactive comic applications is that they have acceptability ranges in the acceptable category, have a grade scale with category C, and have an adjective rating with the good category.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the passage of the Criminal Code Bill which caused many pros and cons among the public because of the existence of articles that were considered controversial and became a topic that was widely discussed, especially until the massive demonstration in 2019 that rejected changes to the Criminal Code Bill. The object of this study is two news about the Criminal Code Bill published on the same day after its ratification by the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia on December 6, 2022. The author examines using descriptive qualitative methods supported by a constructive approach by analyzing data medel Zhongdan Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki. The two published news can be interpreted as a forum that clarifies the newly inaugurated Criminal Code Bill in order to keep the atmosphere conducive by presenting explanations and forms of criticism to the government over the new bill. The result is that the two stories studied in the same news portal have similarities in terms of news leads, but the topics raised are very different, the first news highlights endorsements and flashbacks of rejection. While the second news highlights the aspect of the problem after the passage of the Criminal Code Bill regarding the adultery article.

Abstract

With over 261 million inhabitants, Indonesia is home to approximately 15,000 villages, according to the Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration. Among these, 1,406 are in West Java. Of these, 504 of them are advanced, 464 are developing, 390 are disadvantaged, and 48 are very disadvantaged. The CatBoost machine learning model was used to classify village funds in West Java from 2018 to 2021 and had an accuracy rating of 75%, precision rating of 79%, recall of 79%, and f1 score of 79%, demonstrating its excellent performance. However, missing data points had to be removed from the analysis and it is suggested that a more sophisticated method for handling missing values should be used in future studies. In addition, hyperparameter tuning could be employed to increase the model's performance, and a variety of metrics could be used to accurately assess the results. Overall, CatBoost may be of benefit to the Indonesian Government in order to classify village funds according to their status, channel funds more accurately and efficiently, and observe the situation of a village year-over-year.

Abstract

Women who hold two roles at once, namely working while taking care of the household, need good time management to balance work affairs and build quality interactions with other family members. This research was conducted to determine how women's communication patterns with double burdens shape adolescent behavior. A descriptive qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach was used to understand the problem under study. The informants in this study were working mothers who had teenage children and lived in Selesai Subdistrict, Langkat Regency. The study found that some women with a double burden struggle to communicate with children. Regarding the application of communication patterns, it was found that mothers do not peg on one communication pattern only but use several communication patterns tailored to each purpose and benefit but tend to lead to one of the dominant communication patterns. It can be concluded that the correct communication patterns mothers apply can shape positive adolescent behavior.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a viral disease spread by a vector, Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes. This study aims to map the distribution of high vulnerability areas in Bandung City. The data used are secondary data from the 2021 District Health Office and 2022 the Central Agency of Statistics (BPS) from 30 sub-district reports in Bandung City. Map of Bandung City obtained from the Geospatial Information Agency via the website tanahair.indonesia.go.id. DHF case data and data that have a direct influence on the natural development of mosquitoes, including rainfall, air humidity, and population density are scored and classified. Then the data is assessed and analyzed to produce vulnerability level zones using the QGIS 3.28.0 application. The result shows that there are 5 sub-districts with high vulnerability level, sub-districts with medium vulnerability level, and 15 sub-districts with low vulnerability level. The five sub-districts with high vulnerability are Antapani, Bojongloa Kaler, Cibeunying Kidul, Kiaracondong, and Sukajadi sub-districts. Knowing the distribution of dengue-prone areas, it is hoped that it will make it easier for the Bandung City Health Service to take preventive measures and handle DHF cases by prioritizing sub-districts with a high level of vulnerability. The government is expected to increase community participation in programs to prevent and control DHF incidents in each sub-district. In addition, it is hoped that further research will examine other environmental factors and societal behavior factors that lead to the vulnerability of DHF cases so that the DHF disease control program in Bandung City is more specific, especially considering the characteristics of each region.

Abstract

Information technology provides development for companies, with information technology facilitating companies in the work process, starting from managing existing information at the company to employee performance. Therefore, information technology has a good impact on companies. With the existence of information technology, IT Governance is needed to align IT and business in a company, this is done so that work processes in the company run more effectively both for employees and for corporate governance, corporate governance must be managed as well as possible so that it is organized and provides a good impact on the company, for this governance a system called COBIT is needed, because COBIT can manage everything from IT needs and business needs to corporate governance. With COBIT in a company, there will be designs that are in accordance with the wishes of the company and can be controlled more by IT management.

Abstract

The decision-making system is crucial in business processes to assist decision-makers in making the right decisions. In this case, the determination of the purchase of an outboard motor is a critical decision that requires careful consideration. Therefore, the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method is used as a decision-making system in determining the purchase of an outboard motor. The SAW method is used to calculate the relative weight of each selected criterion and to give a value to each alternative based on the given criteria. The criteria used in determining the purchase of an outboard motor include price, brand, features, environmental waste guarantee, quality, and availability of service centers. From the normalized calculation results, Yamaha E40JMHL 40HP became the best outboard motor alternative with a score of 0.8125, and Honda BF 90 DK 2LRTD 0.575 became the less recommended alternative to be chosen for purchase.

Abstract

The Medan City Social Service is one of the Medan city government agencies that uses social media Instagram as a medium for presenting the information they have and reporting to the public. In presenting this information. The Medan City Social Service must pay attention to and implement the form of a journalistic code of ethics in Instagram posts as a form of social responsibility and professionalism. Some of the ethical codes that are considered are presenting true and accurate information, reflecting fairness, maintaining privacy rights, protecting copyrights, maintaining objectivity in presenting them and having respect for related parties. The research method used in writing this journal article is a descriptive qualitative research method by producing research related to how the Medan City Social Service has a strategy in implementing the Journalistic Code of Ethics on their Instagram posts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the map of the development of research trends in the IQRA Journal for the 2017-2021 period. This study formulates the problem of how the development of article publication trends and literature patterns in IQRA articles (Library and Information Journal) published in 2017-2021. This study used a descriptive research method with a quantitative approach using bibliometric analysis techniques. Mapping is done with co-word based mapping. The research sample is 89 IQRA articles for 2017-2021. In this study, two supporting applications in bibliometrics were used, namely Mendeley and VOSViewer. The results of the study show that the visualization of the results of research data processing using the 2017-2021 IQRA journal metadata is grouped into 4 clusters. The results of the VOSViewer analysis seen from the overlay visualization that the research topic in the journal IQRA 2017-2021 which has been carried out for a long time is about librarians and the latest research on services. The results of the density visualization mean that the keyword groups in the 2017-2021 IQRA journal have a relationship with each other, in which the most frequently researched topic is the library. Judging from its development, the most published articles published by the IQRA Journal were in 2019 and the lowest was in 2021.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the benefits and advantages obtained by stalls by using the Goseh application. The research method used is qualitative, which prioritizes understanding of phenomena that occur through observation and data collection using various methods. This research involved several stalls in Karo District that have used the Goseh application as a means of marketing and selling food and beverages. The results of the study show that the Goseh application provides many benefits to stalls, such as increasing popularity and income. In addition, people also don't need to leave the house to buy food, because they can order through the Goseh application and wait for the order to be delivered to their house. Goseh users are not only limited to people in Karo Regency, but also from outside the city, province, and even abroad who want to pay attention to their loved ones at home by sending their favorite food or drink online. The Goseh application also helps stalls in promoting the stall through the application itself. In addition, Goseh application users can also view the shop's promotional posts via Goseh's official Instagram account and the shop. In this case, promotion can be more effective because it can reach more people, especially social media users. In conclusion, the Goseh application is an effective alternative for stalls in increasing their popularity and income, as well as making it easier for people to order food and drinks from stalls. Apart from that, this application also provides other benefits, such as making it easier to deliver food and drinks to loved ones in their hometown.
