Abstract

Security stability is a key factor in creating a prosperous society. In Islam, this security stability can be achieved through cooperation between the Ulama (Islamic scholars) and the Umara (Islamic leaders). The Ulama act as transmitters of religious teachings, bringing messages of peace and togetherness, while the Umara are responsible for implementing policies that ensure the welfare of society. This study examines the roles of the Ulama (Islamic scholars) and the Umara (Islamic leaders) in maintaining security stability and how synergy between the two can create a harmonious and prosperous society.

Abstract

The Friends with Benefits or FWBR phenomenon is now starting to be normalized. Especially among students in big cities in Indonesia. This takes into account that young people in these cities have higher mobility compared to other cities. Furthermore, massive mainstream media coverage regarding FWB experiences was also shared by several public figures. Examining this further, this occurs because several public figures have repeatedly experienced failed committed relationships and want to seek relationship satisfaction in other forms. This supports the rise of the FWB phenomenon among young people. FWB itself is a type of modern sexual relationship or can be said to be a form of casual sexual relationship. This relationship indicates that the phenomenon of having a casual sexual relationship has become something that is known and practiced normally by young people in Indonesia. Fulfilling each other's sexual needs has become The main points in having a FWB relationship. This is in line with the paradigm concept of sexual consent which is the main thing that must be fulfilled in a healthy relationship when having sexual relations. The existence of sexual consent is also an important point in a FWB relationship, which provides legitimacy to obtain "benefits" in the form of sexual relations between both parties which benefit each other. Therefore, this article will examine the causes of the emergence of FWB, its forms, implications. that occurred and tested the claims of its proponents which, if examined further, have many weaknesses.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of Shopee e-commerce on traditional market sales at Langkap Market, Burneh District, Bangkalan Regency, from a sharia economic perspective. The method used is descriptive qualitative through a literature review and interviews with the Head of Langkap Market as the main informant. The results show that the presence of Shopee e-commerce has caused a decline in sales, especially among clothing vendors in traditional markets, because consumers prefer the convenience and more competitive prices of digital platforms. This impact has forced vendors to switch to selling basic necessities that are still in demand in person. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the shift in consumer behavior to e-commerce, although traditional markets continue to play a vital role in meeting urgent needs that cannot be met quickly by e-commerce. From a sharia economic perspective, this change requires a balance between technological advancements and the sustainability of micro-enterprises to maintain the principles of justice and welfare. This research provides important insights for developing strategies for preserving traditional markets in the digital era.
The Colonial History of Stolen Cultural Artefacts: The British Museum and Its Creditor-Contributors Muhammed Salman. K

Abstract

Through the deliberate removal and appropriation of cultural artefacts from its colonized areas, the uncomfortable legacy of British colonialism has a dark chapter of a significant cultural upheaval, in addition to its economic exploitation and political domination. This study, which is framed within the notion of extractive colonialism, shows how the British Empire made the British Museum more of an imperial archive, rather than its own professed designation as a national public museum, that too in the disguise of facilitating preservation and academic research. Iconic attractions including the Rosetta Stone, the Elgin Marbles, the Benin Bronzes, the Amaravati Marbles, and the Winged Lions of Nimrud, form a tiny minority among the contested items in the collection of the museum. This study, through regional case studies from Egypt, Greece, India, Nigeria, and Central Asia, discusses how each instance serves as an example of the great colonial reasoning that valued British museological aspirations over indigenous heritage. It also examines the growing international calls for restitution and the monolithic opposition of the Museum that is backed by British legal instruments including the British Museum Act 1963. In addition to identifying the coercive, exploitative, or opaque patterns of acquisition, the paper also reflects on the role of global cooperation frameworks like the 1970 UNESCO Convention in addressing colonial-era state-sponsored cultural theft. Considering how these artefacts act as symbols of national pride, collective memory, and postcolonial resistance, the paper approaches distribution in a larger historical and legal context, rather than dealing with it as a purely moral demand. It argues that as long as the British Museum remain neglectful of the calls for restitution of stolen cultural artefacts, its professed objective of being a custodian of world heritage will remain debated unabated

Abstract

Sharia leasing is an alternative financing based on sharia principles that is increasingly in demand as a substitute for conventional schemes. This instrument avoids usury, gharar, and maysir and emphasizes fair and transparent transactions in accordance with Islamic law. This study aims to conduct a systematic literature review (Systematic Literature Review/SLR) to identify basic concepts, views of muamalah fiqh, operational challenges, and prospects for its development in Indonesia. The method used is SLR with sources from databases such as Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, Scopus, and the Garuda Portal of the Ministry of Education and Culture for the 2018–2025 period. The literature was analyzed using a thematic approach to obtain a comprehensive picture. The results of the study indicate that sharia leasing has a strong basis in muamalah fiqh through contracts such as ijarah and its combinations. However, its implementation still faces challenges such as lack of harmonization of contracts, low public literacy, and the need to improve national regulations. As a solution, contract standardization, digitalization of sharia services, public education, and synergy between regulators, business actors, and academics are needed. The MSME and transportation sectors are strategic segments with increasing demand. The conclusion of the study states that sharia leasing has great potential as a modern Islamic economic instrument, as long as it is supported by strong policies and sustainable technological innovation.

The results show that this business applies sharia-based management principles such as mudharabah and ijarah, emphasizing the values of trust, honesty, and social responsibility. The feasibility of the business is evident in its simple financial recording system, informal profit-sharing model, and tangible contribution to the local economy through the provision of jobs and affordable transportation services. The implemented management strategies not only ensure business sustainability but also reflect the integration of Islamic values and micro-business practices. This research is expected to serve as a reference for MSMEs in developing businesses oriented towards blessings and welfare.

Abstract

The concept of faith in Islam has been a classic debate among Islamic scholars. Ibn Taymiyyah, a key figure in Islamic thought, provided a comprehensive definition of faith, encompassing conviction in the heart, verbal affirmation, and bodily actions. He argued that faith can increase and decrease according to one's deeds. This view rejects the understanding of faith as merely a belief in the heart or merely verbal, as some groups believe. This article aims to examine in depth Ibn Taymiyyah's thoughts on the nature of faith, as well as the rational and intellectual foundations used in his arguments. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a literature review approach, this paper reveals that Ibn Taymiyyah emphasized the importance of balancing the theoretical and practical aspects of faith. The implication is that faith is not merely internally acknowledged but must be demonstrated through concrete righteous deeds. This concept is relevant in the contemporary context as an effort to shape a complete Muslim personality in both belief and action.

Abstract

This study examines Ibn Sina's concept of humankind, which views humans as a unity of body and soul. Ibn Sina divides the soul into three levels: the vegetable, the hayawani, and the human, with the human soul as the center of consciousness, knowledge, and morality. This concept aligns with Islamic teachings, which emphasize the dignity of humans as creatures infused with a spirit by God and entrusted with the role of caliph on earth. This study uses a library method with a qualitative, descriptive-analytical approach. The results of the study indicate that Ibn Sina's thinking is relevant for the development of holistic education that integrates physical, intellectual, and spiritual aspects, and can be applied in character building, leadership, and social life in the modern era.
