Abstract

Inflation is a problem which is not simple and is classified as an economic disease. Inflation is one important indicator in analyzing a country's economy, especially with regard to its broad impact on macroeconomic variables: economic growth, external balance, competitiveness, and even income distribution. Inflation is characterized by high and continuous increases in prices not only causing some adverse effects on economic activity, but also on the prosperity of individuals and society. An increase in the price of one or two items alone cannot be called inflation, unless the increase extends to an increase in the majority of other goods.

Abstract

The lockdown of Covid-19 has brought many significant changes to human routines in daily life, including for children, although now it has entered the endemic phase. The activities of children who usually go to school and play are very limited due to the lockdown so their activities are only limited at home which brings changes to the psychological state and mental health of children, such as excessive saturation, and gadget addiction. However, changes in children's mental health during the pandemic did not seem to occur much in children studying at pesantren, because teaching and learning activities at pesantren continued to run as usual, because despite the lockdown every day they still interacted with the same people. This article is descriptive qualitative research with a socio-religious approach that examines the role of pesantren in Lumajang named Asy-Syarifiy to heal mental disorders in children, and how the education system relates to the mental health of students. Data collection was carried out by involving observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. This research found, first, some parents sent their children to the Asy-Syarifiy to deepen their religious knowledge while at the same time healing children who were stressed due to the pandemic. Second, outdoor learning methods and an eco-pesantren concept can reduce children's stress

Abstract

The previous studies of Islamization in Java follow a clear distinction of Priyayi-Abangan-Santri thesis, which was gradually developed and incompatible to capture the changing of political preferences of Javanese Muslims. This paper examines what kind of patterns formed on the dynamics of the Islamization process in Java under the influence of socio-political changes. The output of this paper is to show the pattern of Islamization process in Java under the political dynamic changes of Indonesian politics in the early twentieth century. The pattern of Islamization in Java was influenced by ethical policy, the transmission of Middle East Islam, and caused by the politization of Islam by the Colonial government. The ethical policy encouraged the creation of a public space for political contestations that determined the new identity of Indonesian elite. The transmission of Middle Eastern Islam triggered the polarization of Javanese Muslims into two patterns: the modernist Muslim strengthened the pattern of Priyayi-Santri in urban communities with Islamization through modern institutions. In this, the traditionalist Muslim also developed an intellectual genealogy through Pesantren networks scattered in the rural areas created the pattern of Santri-Abangan. Meanwhile the politization of Islam by Colonial government created a benefit to the unification of Islamic institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to understand what is meant by Manhaj Salafi and explain why his da'wah behavior is controversial in the current youtube media. The author considers this research important in the midst of the government's efforts to build a safe, comfortable, and peaceful atmosphere among fellow believers. However, the divisions and disputes among the nation's children, will certainly bring bad impacts. That is why the Indonesian Ministry of Religion is currently actively campaigning for religious moderation everywhere in order to reduce the extreme attitudes of the people in religion. With a qualitative approach, the author tries to explore and analyze the data that the author gets from various youtube vlogs. The results of the study indicate that the controversial themes of da'wah are generally issues of khilafiyah which are considered as problems of ushul by the bearers of the Manhaj Salafi. However, the unique thing is that these controversial themes appear more because of the prompting of questions from the audience who follow the lectures of the Manhaj Salafi figures. The lack of wisdom of the Manhaj Salafi da'i in da'wah as well as their mistakes in understanding the nature of da'wah have made this understanding more and more resistant in society. Not only that, even among the supporters of the Manhaj Salafis, there were contradictory attitudes towards each other. An attitude of self-restraint and mutual respect for the opinions of others needs to be built in our society. Don't let us be provoked by media like YouTube which is sometimes used by irresponsible people. The supporters of Manhaj Salafi also need to learn from their predecessors such as the Muhammadiyah organization, then make modifications and adaptations in conveying their da'wah so that their understanding can be well received by the Indonesian people. Basically the presence of this understanding brings many benefits, as well as the invitation (da'wah) of Manhaj Salafi to return to the Qur'an and al-Hadith is good and right, as long as it is carried out with an approach that is in accordance with the culture of our nation. then make modifications and adaptations in conveying their da'wah so that their understanding can be well received by the Indonesian people. Abstract

One of the issues that have been considered in the public sphere today is the issue of the transgender phenomenon. Transgender is related to the problem of gender identity. It refers to the condition in which the perpetrators identify their identity and gender differently from their sex biologically. It's caused by dissatisfaction and incompatibility between their body and soul. The term transgender might not be so familiar in Indonesia. However, to indicate that phenomenon, some of the people called them "waria”, “priawan” or “tomboy". Generally, their existences were still hard to be accepted because Indonesian people considered this phenomenon as a deviation and it contradicts the moral value and religion in Indonesian society. In the teachings of Islam, the transgender phenomenon has been existed in the early days of the development of Islam, and it has been forbidden strictly. The Islamic view about this issue could be found in the prophet’s hadith explicitly. Hence, to understand this phenomenon, we need to study the hadith. The purpose is as a basis for addressing the transgender phenomenon that was prevalent in Indonesia. The understanding implementation of this hadith, in general, is not easy, because Indonesia is not a country that makes Islam as a formal state system. It has its perspective relate to the transgender phenomenon. Therefore, we have to contextualize this hadith understanding according to the Indonesian context, especially in dealing with transgender perpetrators.
