Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of multicultural education at SDN Bululawang 02 and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors of its implementation. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The subjects of the study consist of the principal and teachers. Data collection techniques were conducted through semi-structured interviews, while data analysis used an interactive analysis model that includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that multicultural education has been implemented through school policies, the learning process, and school culture. The school applies deep learning-based instruction that emphasizes meaningful learning experiences with the support of learning technologies such as smart TVs and smart boxes. Multicultural education is also realized through various religious, social, and national activities, such as routine religious activities, the commemoration of national and religious holidays, as well as the use of traditional clothing, which serve to instill values of tolerance, togetherness, and mutual respect. The role of the school principal is evident through classroom supervision, teacher training, and learning evaluation, while teachers integrate multicultural values through varied and enjoyable teaching methods. The challenges faced include the diverse characteristics of students, limited facilities, and differences in students' academic abilities. Efforts made by the school to overcome these challenges involve collaboration with parents and adjustments to learning strategies. This study concludes that multicultural education in elementary schools has been implemented well; however, it still requires strengthening in terms of facility support, teacher competence, and ongoing collaboration between schools and parents.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which professional competence and personality competence influence teacher performance at SMAN 1 Sangatta Selatan. This research is categorized as field research using a quantitative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires to obtain responses from participants, observations to directly monitor activities, and documentation techniques to gather supporting data. The population in this study consisted of 33 teachers at SMAN 1 Sangatta Selatan. The sample was determined using the Slovin formula, resulting in 33 respondents, all of whom were teachers from the same school. To analyze the data, multiple linear regression analysis was employed. The results showed that professional competence significantly influences teacher performance. The influence of professional competence (X1) on teacher performance (Y) was 7.2%, while the influence of personality competence (X2) on teacher performance (Y) reached 4.5%. The coefficient of determination (R²) value was 0.807, indicating that 80.7% of teacher performance at SMAN 1 Sangatta Selatan is jointly influenced by professional competence (X1) and personality competence (X2), while the remaining 19.3% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Based on the analysis, personality competence was found to have a more significant simultaneous effect on teacher.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling is an essential service in the academic framework that aims to support the optimal development of students. The success of BK services does not only depend on the competence of guidance and counseling teachers, but also on the involvement and synergy of all school personnel. However, in practice, BK services are often understood as the individual responsibility of BK teachers, so that the roles of other school personnel have not been optimally integrated. This research seeks to delineate the duties and responsibilities of school personnel in guidance and counseling activities and to examine the patterns of collaboration that have been established in their implementation. This research utilizes a qualitative approach using a literature study method, with data sources in the form of accredited national journal articles and related scientific publications over the past five years. The data were evaluated by employing content analysis techniques to identify topics related to the roles of the principal, guidance counselors, homeroom teachers, subject teachers, and educational staff. Findings from this research indicate that the effectiveness of guidance and counseling services is greatly influenced by the clarity of the division of tasks, managerial support from the principal, and collaboration between school personnel. The findings also reveal a gap between the ideal concept of collaborative guidance and counseling services and their implementation in schools. The Scientific implications stress the vital role of strengthening coordination and integration of the roles of school personnel in developing more effective, systematic, and sustainable guidance and counseling services.

Abstract

The novel Time and Southeast by L. Dela Fimeta, published on October 2, 2023, is one of the literary works in the romance genre that is interesting to study from a linguistic perspective, especially morphology. This study aims to analyze the morphological process of composition contained in the novel, focusing on the types, examples, and semantic aspects that arise in the use of word composition. The research method used is qualitative descriptive analysis with a literature review approach and text review. Data in the form of compositional words were collected from novel texts, then classified based on the type of composition, such as endocentric, exocentric, and idiomatic compositions. Semantic analysis is carried out to examine the meaning resulting from the composition process, both literal and connotative meanings that enrich the nuances of romance in the novel. The results of the study show that this novel uses word composition creatively to build aesthetic expression, strengthen characterization, and present a distinctive emotional nuance. The semantic aspects of word composition also contribute to the development of deep themes and language styles. In conclusion, the morphological study of composition in the novel Time and Southeast makes an important contribution to the development of morphological studies while enriching literary research that integrates language analysis in literary works.
