Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the achievement of mathematical problems solving ability between students who acquired learning with Problem Based Learning model with students who acquired learning with Guided Discovery Learning model. This research was a mixed method research with concurrent embedded method. This research consists of experimental group that obtained learning with Guided Discovery Learning method and Problem Based Learning method. The population of this research was a junior high school students in Tanah Datar regency, West Sumatera with sample of grade VIII. Data analysis was done quantitatively and qualitatively. Quantitative analysis was used to calculate the difference in the achievement of mathematical problem solving ability, while qualitative data analysis was used to strengthen the result of quantitative analysis. The results showed that the percentage of the achievement of mathematical problem solving ability of students who obtained learning with Guided Discovery Learning method and Problem Based Learning method is moderate, whereas there is no difference in the achievement of significant mathematical problem solving ability between the two experimental classes.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of elementary school students' mathematics content. The low student learning outcomes are caused by students having difficulty understanding mathematics materials, the lack of variation used in the use of learning models and the need for innovative and fun models in learning mathematics content, the lack of response and enthusiasm of students in learning mathematics so that students' motivation becomes low and interest in learning mathematics students also become low. The purpose of this study was to determine what points are related to the influence of the snowball throwing cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes of elementary school students' mathematics content. This type used the method of the literature study. This study examined 11 article and 1 theses. From several journals that have been studied by the author, the results show that: The snowball throwing type of cooperative learning model has an effect on the effectiveness of student learning, the snowball throwing type cooperative learning model makes students motivated to learn, the snowball throwing type cooperative learning model can make students have interest in learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low development of gross motor skills of early childhood, this is caused by the gross motor learning of children is still not so optimally implemented so that the gross motor skills of young children is still low, researchers overcome the problem by using relay games. This study aims to improve the gross motor development of early childhood through relay running games. This research uses the literature study method. The results showed that there was an influence on the application of relay games to the development of gross motor skills of early childhood. This is evidenced from the results of analyzing 12 article and 2 books, showing that the application of relay games can improve gross motor skills of young children. Correspondingly, the abilities of children have increased rapidly through the relay game, so that children feel happy and feel comfortable in doing the game. Children are also more eager to learn, and can increase children's confidence. So that through relay games the child becomes a more independent, strong and confident person to appear in public.

Abstract

The Jahangir Graph J(n,m) for n ≥ 2, m ≥ 2 is a graph with the period of (nm + 1) that comprises a Cycle (Cn,m) by adding a close period to the period of m from Cn,m, having a graphn in Cn,m each other. A graph is called rainbow connection (rc) if every single line connecting two periods of u, v in G consists of rainbowu-vpath, and a graph is considered strong rainbow connection (src)if there is a line with the length of d(u,v), connecting two periods of u,v that consist of rainbow u-v geodesic. This research aimed to obtain upper limit srcin the Jahangir Graph of J(3, m)for m = 2 end m = 3. It was found that the upper limit of numeral src (J3,m) ≤ form = 2 and src J(3,m) ≤ for m = 3.

Abstract

Islamic religious education is a basic subject and is prioritized in the process of educating students. . Based on the results of the study, it was found that in the experimental group, there were 22 students (88%) who had complete scores and in the control group, there were 16 people (64%) who had complete scores and based on the comparison there was a P- Value sebnayak 0.001 <0.005, which means that there is a difference in the effective learning method of the socio-drama material of the Prophet's story in the Islamic religious education class III where the average score is higher, which is 95.23 in the experimental group when compared to the average value. namely as many as 85.53 in the control group.

Abstract

A classroom action research has been carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Koto Baru with the aim of improving science learning outcomes through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. Learning has been taking place conventionally, this has resulted in learning outcomes not being maximized as expected. This classroom action research was carried out for two cycles with each cycle having two meetings. Every time the learning process meets with a problem-based learning model (Problem Based Learning / PBL). As data collection instruments are student worksheets, daily test sheets and observation sheets filled with observers, with steps for planning action, implementing actions, observing, evaluating and reflecting for each cycle. Based on the research results, it was found that the average increase in student learning outcomes through the problem-based learning model (Problem Based Learning / PBL) in the initial conditions averaged 63.7 or the percentage of KKM achievement was 40% in cycle I increased by 70.8 or the percentage of KKM achievement 53.3% and in cycle II increased to 79.3 or 83.3%. Student learning outcomes have increased from the first cycle to the second cycle. Each individual practice value for each meeting has increased. The end of the cycle held daily tests also increased. Learning using a problem-based learning model (Problem Based Learning / PBL) has a positive impact on student learning outcomes.
