Abstract

The development of technology is currently growing rapidly, thus making teenagers want to have a gadget. it is unavoidable that the presence of gadgtes has a major influence on the character of teenagers. Where during worship,teenagers us gadgets to open facebook, WhatsApp, and play games. The purpose of the study was to describe the negative use of gadgets among adolescents at the Korampotan Pondan Protestant Independent CWith the research subject is an independent youth Protestan Korampotan Pondan. This sudy aims to determine the effect of teenagers in the Independen Protestan Church of Korampotan Pondan. The method used is a quantitative method with a population of 75 people, a sample of 43 people, with data collection techniques using questionnaires

Abstract

Technology advances in 21th Century are accompanied by the increasement of child violence cases. Bullying and moral decadency occur among students. Christian education teacher’s role as model of character is needed by the students to able to change their behavior and achieve the goal of Christian Education, namely knowing and experiencing God. Student’s behavior changes are very influenced by teacher’s personality and character. The examples teacher shows every day will affect student’s behavior change. Christian education teacher must imitate the examples are given by Jesus the Great Teacher. Christian education teacher who has a “born again” experience and keep struggling in doing the truth of God’s Word every day through Holy Spirit’s guidance could influence student’s behavior. Teachers’ examples risen by their daily spirituality growth, because teaching is not only matter of knowledge transferring from a head to a head, but from a heart to a heart of the teacher to the students.

Abstract

increasing professional competence is where someone who has expertise in their field and masters their field and how to improve to be better in the field taken by someone, increase professional competence how to improve in the field that has been taken and must be an expert in the field that is very important and must be done. And the research method taken and which will be explained is through a qualitative method with the philosophy of positivism, where the research mindset uses a deductive quantitative method. So the teacher must have competence and the teacher also has the ability and has many ideas in improving student learning during this covid 19 pandemic, where the teacher must have a way to attract the attention of students to study better and instill good character for students.

Abstract

: Great Commission that should be the responsibility of believers becomes irrelevant in the midst of the challenges of post-modern era where everything is relative. The mission paradigm in this era began to shift, which all were motivated by post-modern culture. In this relative era, digital acceleration can directly make Christians facing global culture of the world that focuses on the universal view which state that Jesus is not the only way to salvation but one of the ways to salvation. This is because the post-modern paradigm of thinking concerning religion is no longer talking about truth but about what does someone want. Of course this is contrary to Christianity which states that Jesus is the final and the only way of salvation. This study uses a qualitative research with a descriptive approach to find out the truth in Paul’s writings in the Colossian Song which describe the pre-existence of Christ. In Paul’s writings especially in Colossians 1:15-20, is a quote from the early church confession that Paul took and used it to show about Christ who is the only God.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to see the impact of teaching Christian religious education to children in the family based on Ephesians 6:4. The main issue that often occurs in the family so far is that parents (fathers) are not good teachers and role models for children, and not even a few children are hurt mentally just because of their parents' actions. The main issue that often occurs in the family so far is that parents (fathers) are not good teachers and role models for children, and not even a few children are hurt mentally just because of their parents' actions. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative research method. The results obtained in this paper are that educating children with love according to God's teachings and advice is an urgent matter in the family. Thus, education in the family has a very significant role in shaping every child and this cannot be ignored by every parent.

Abstract

This article aims to describe Helmut Richard Niebuhr's typology review of the pros and cons of the practice of the ru-ketu tradition among the Christian community of Sabu Barat, Sabu Raijua district. The research method used to describe this article is a qualitative method with interview and literature studies techniques. The data obtained from the research results are then analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that there were three groups of respondents perceptions of the Sabu Barat Christian community towards the practice of the ru-ketu tradition based on Helmut Richard Niebuhr's typological classification. The first group is a minority group that tends to be dualistic and ambiguity. This attitude is due to the strong influence of genealogical factors. The second group is the majority group that tends to have a transformative view of the ru-ketu tradition. The perception of this group tends to be influenced by two factors at once, namely cultural factors and religious identity factors. This group tends to practice the ru-ketu tradition with a number of adaptation changes in the stages of implementation due to the influence of Christian religious teachings. The third group is a small number of respondents who tend to be antipathetic and reject the involvement of the Christian community in the implementation of the ru-ketu tradition. This group tends to position the Christian religious entity as an entity that is contrary to the ru-ketu tradition because of the exclusive religious doctrine factor.

Abstract

Mazmur 23:1-6 adalah Mazmur yang menarik untuk menjadi dasar penggembalaan serta metode penggembalaan yang selalu relefan di setiap masa. Terutama pada masa pendemi seperti yang dialami dua tahun lebih terakhir ini, yang telah menuntut berkembangnya metode penggembalaan, dari yang diluar jaringan (luring) atau pertemuan tatap muka, menjadi dalam jaringan (daring) atau pertemuan dengan menggunakan media sosial. Penggembalaan sebagai panggilan tidak boleh berhenti dengan kondisi yang buruk sekalipun. Hal ini dimungkinkan karena dalam keadaan sulit itu panggembalaan seharusnya melakukan fungsinya untuk menolong jemaat dari setiap kesulitan yang mereka hadapi. Penggembalaan tidak hanya berbicara pelayanan mimbar saja, tetapi juga menyentuh kepada pelayanan menyeluruh atau holistic. Gembala atau pendeta tidak dapat mengajar dengan khutbah yang baik jika jemaat yang dilayani mengalami kelaparan, kemiskinan, dan ketakutan serta kekuatiran. Karena itu penggembalaan yang efektif adalah penggembalaan yang dapat menyentuh keseluruhan pelayanan baik pelayanan fisik, pelayanan jiwa, dan pelayanan rohani. Sehingga dengan penggembalaan atau pelayanan pastoral, jemaat dapat menemukan jawaban dari kesulitan yang mereka hadapi, baik dalam hal ekonomi, sosial, terlebih dalam hal rohani. Karena gembala bukanlah posisi, tetapi gembala adalah fungsi.

Abstract

The background of the problem of knowledge crisis to parents in educating children so that mistakes occur in bad behavior towards children, for example shouting, slamming something when angry, hitting, littering, being lazy, or other bad attitudes. The Meaning of Early Childhood in the New Testament. The purpose of this paper is to describe the theological study of the meaning of early childhood education in the New Testament. By analyzing the text in accordance with the principles of exegesis, to get the meaning contained in the context of the meaning of early childhood education in the New Testament. The results of the descriptive analysis of the meaning of early childhood education in the Bible are first, children know the truth. Early childhood knows the truth, namely the word of God. Second, early childhood knows the Holy Spirit. Know the Holy Spirit as God and helper for early childhood to do the truth. Third, early childhood knows safety. Knowing salvation is knowing the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus on the cross, so that the faith of early childhood remains strong, and the heart of early childhood remains firm so that it makes children believe and believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven. The description of the meaning of early childhood education in the New Testament consists of: First. Knowing the Truth, knowing the truth about Christian values ??that must be instilled in early childhood, as early as possible from birth they are introduced to Bible teaching and knowledge of the Lord Jesus every day and continuously so that the word of God takes root and bears fruit in children . Second. know the Holy Spirit, early childhood must understand the role of the Holy Spirit as a helper in the lives of believers, so that early childhood can learn to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Early childhood must also learn to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in every action, so that children act honestly and righteously before God and others. The help of the Holy Spirit in the lives of early childhood will make the child aware of the function of the Holy Spirit as a helper. So that children will always come to God to ask for the help of the Holy Spirit. Third. Knowing Salvation, early childhood is taught to recognize the salvation carried out by Jesus who died on the cross to atone for the sins of all believers including the sins of early childhood, so that early childhood knows and understands that only through Jesus can get salvation. For the word of God in John 14:6 says I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me.

Abstract

This article discusses local religions that long before the arrival of Christianity had a concept of the Divine. Christianity, which removed culture, in its development, actually opened itself to accept culture in religious rituals such as forming a culture and language month at GMIT. As contextualization. In addition to contextualization efforts, postcolonialism takes on a role in criticizing western Christianity which oppresses culture as a product of the third world. This article uses qualitative research methods by conducting field research with an ethnographic approach and literature research using group research reports that examine ethnic groups in NTT. From this study it was found that the concept of the Divine from local religions has a strong bond with nature. Contextualization that tries to use cultural elements to introduce Christianity can actually be ambiguous in syncretism. Meanwhile, postcolonial offers cosmoteandric as a wider scope to tie the relationship between God, humans, and the cosmos.

Abstract

Women with dual roles as full-time housewives and career women have time management and work pressures that leave less time for themselves which affects women's physical, emotional and social well-being. Women with multiple roles tend to be easily stressed and depressed. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the fulfillment of women's psychological well-being with multiple roles from the perspective of Proverbs 30:11-31. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The qualitative method is carried out by studying literature on references and scientific literature related to the fulfillment of the psychological well-being of women with dual roles based on Proverbs 31:10-31 studied from the aspect of psychological well-being. The fulfillment of psychological well-being consists of aspects of self-acceptance, positive relationships with others, independence, environmental mastery, life goals and personal growth. This aspect is described in the criteria of a capable wife who is a double role woman in Proverbs 31:10-31. These criteria include being trustworthy, generous, diligent workers, good housekeepers, thinking about the future, and having inner beauty.
