Abstract

The purposes of the article are to explain the process in creatinhg English promotion in Instagram at CV. Sahabat Nusantara Sejahtera Purwokerto, and to observe obstacles and find solution in creating an English promotion in Instagram at CV. Sahabat Nusantara Sejahtera Purwokerto. The method used are observation, practicing and interview. To make a brochure promotion several steps should be followed. First, determining what components would be included in the brochure. Second, taking photos directly at the tourist destination as material for making brochures. Third, editing the material according to the theme and ideas that has already determined. Fourth, consulting of the result was conducted to the supervisor and the owner of the company.

Abstract

Webtoon Canvas is a digital platform used to read digital comics or webcomics. Webtoon Canvas is provided for indie comic creators who can publish their work without having to be contracted comic creators. One example of a Webtoon Canvas is “The Fish That Loved The Bird” by KaseySaus, with the fantasy-romance genre published in 2017. This webcomic tells the story of two teenagers from two different races, the Avians and the Merpeople. There were nine translation techniques in translating the Webtoon Canvas entitled “The Fish That Loved The Bird.” The techniques that used were Transfer Techniques, Functional Equivalent Techniques, Synonyms Techniques, Continuous Translation Techniques, Conversion or Transposition Techniques, Modulation Techniques, Compensation Techniques, Subtraction-Development Techniques, and Note-Addition-Information Techniques. Constraints in the translation process were difficulties in determining the translation object, carrying out job training that were adjusted to the implementation schedule, and finding the appropriate equivalent of words in Indonesian. The solution waspaid attention during observations to find the suitable translation object for the target reader, improve time management, and improve the ability to read dictionaries and learn idiom words. Translation techniques assist in the translation process to produce translations that were by the equivalent words and daily conversation in the target language. The obstacles that were found become learning media to improve the translation ability.The applied solution helps in the translating process and completing the translation object.

Abstract

“Wisata Hemat Kebumen” Tour and Travel is a service provider engaged in tourism event organizers with the most halal tourism concept, effective, efficient and economical. WHK Tour and Travel has done promotions through social media, but only uses Indonesian. Therefore, the writer wants to make a promotion using English and through online media, namely Blog. The writer used the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the interview, the writer knows that this travel agency has a branch located in Karimunjawa with the name Wisata Hemat Karimunjawa. The writer also gets new experiences besides making promotions such as making departure schedules and being a tour leader. In making the promotional text, the writer did several stages, namely creating a blog with the director of WHK Tour and Travel, choosing a tour package to be uploaded, namely a special tour package for companies, then grouping tour packages by province so that it is easier for consumers to choose the tour package. After all the information has been collected, the writer then arranges the information and translates it into English. The writer submits the results of the writing to the director of WHK Tour and Travel to be corrected and after obtaining approval then the article is uploaded through the official blog of WHK Tour and Travel. There were several obstacles when the writer made promotions such as, WHK was being less helpful to the writer in carrying out job training, lacks of understanding of English from WHK Tour and Travel, and WHK Tour and Travel of does not yet have a website. To overcome this, the writer looks for information on all social media WHK Tour and Travel and other websites, uses several applications to improve grammar, namely Google Docs and Grammarly, and creates a new website, namely Blog.

Abstract

This article is entitled Translating Syafira's Novel Kado Mysterious Volume 3 from Indonesian into English. The purpose is to provide an English version of the children's novel Kado Mysterius because it has an exciting storyline and meaningful messages. Therefore, this novel deserved to be appreciated and introduced as Indonesian literary work to people around the globe. The translation process applied some steps; the Analysis step, the Transfer step, and the Restructuring step. However, several obstacles were found in translating the novel Kado Mysterious; first, the translator found it challenging to find relevant terms in the target language. Then, the translator had limited knowledge of some original or target language words. Moreover, the solutions to overcome these obstacles were applied; first, some terms were searched, studied, and consulted to proofreaders to find the relevant meanings. And the translator also used a dictionary to look up new words found in the original language. Experience and knowledge were gained while working on this report, such as getting new vocabulary, knowing translation techniques, the methods needed, and the stages of the translation process. In addition, applying the proper solution was the answer to easily overcome the obstacles during the translation process.

Abstract

In every zoo, there must always be informed, especially about animals. This information is very important because it is a source of knowledge for visitors who travel to a zoo. Serulingmas has 47 animals which are grouped into 20 mammals, 20 aves, and 7 reptiles. The information of the animals are written in Bahasa Indonesia. The purposes of this article are toexplain the process in creating animals information in English for Serulingmas Banjarnegara Interactive Zoo and to know the obstacle and solution in creating animals information in Serulingmas Banjarnegara Interactive Zoo. The methods used are observation, documentation, and producing practice.
