Indonesian Scholar Journal of Nursing and Midwifery Science is a scientific journal that focuses on nursing and midwifery science aspect. It publishes articles based on empirical studies using quantitative or qualitative approaches or a combination of the two. Indonesian Scholar Journal of Nursing and Midfwifery calls for scientific articles focused on nursing and midwifery, both in clinical and positive aspects. It encompasses topics at different levels of analysis, including individual, group, and societal research, as well as diverse methodologies such as nursing and midwifery assessment and interventions. Moreover, it encourages the submission of articles based on interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research, with special consideration or dedicated sections in nursing and midwifery.

Abstract

Introduction: Pneumonia is a major health problem in Indonesia because the incidence of pneumonia is still high, especially in children. The World Health Organization (WHO) stated that pneumonia killed 740,180 children aged 1 to 5 years in 2019 or 36% of all child deaths in the world.  Methods: The research design uses quantitative research with analytical descriptive research and uses a cross-sectional design where the research is carried out when collecting data between the independent variable and the dependent variable which is carried out together at the same time. The sampling technique used in this research was a total sampling of 57 study respondents, population, sample, place and time of research, data collection procedures and tests used.  Results: Good knowledge with positive behavior as many as 25 respondents (73,5%) respondents had normal nutritional status with positive behavior as many as 25 respondents (96,2%) 24 respondents (72,7%) played a role in health workers who had positive behavior. There is a relationship between knowledge, nutritional status and the role of health workers in pneumonia prevention behavior in toddlers aged 0-5 years in PMB S East Belitung in 2023.  Discussion: With this research it is hoped that mothers can understand the health of their toddlers.

Abstract

Introduction: Coronary artery disease is a non-communicable disease and the number one cause of death in the world. Coronary artery disease has an impact on various aspects of the sufferer's life. Physically, patients will feel tightness, get tired easily, experience sexual disorders and chest pain. To determine the relationship between self efficacy and compliance with the level of achievement of cardiac rehabilitation in coronary artery disease patients.  Methods: The research design used in this study is descriptive analytic using the cross-sectional method. The population in this study were all coronary artery disease patients at the Heart Polyclinic in Grha Permata Ibu Hospital in Depok from January to March 2024 a total of 5,229 patients. The technique used was purposive sampling. So the sample of this study was 98 respondents. This research instrument was obtained through a questionnaire sheet. Data analysis using chi-square test. .Results: Based on the results of self efficacy obtained p-value = 0,002 means p-value < α (0,05) and Compliance obtained p-value = 0,000 means p-value < α (0,05). Discussion: there is a relationship between compliance and the level of achievement of cardiac rehabilitation in patients with coronary artery disease.

Abstract

Introduction: Mobile JKN application users are still small or low. The Social Security Organizing Agency (BPJS) recorded the participation of the National Health Insurance (JKN) reaching 226,301,696 participants from the total 226,301,696 JKN mobile participants recorded in the Play Store who have used the JKN mobile application only reached 10,000,000 users with active users only reaching 432,000 participants. The purpose of this study is to determine the interest in using the JKN mobile application.  Methods: This research uses quantitative descriptive method. The data collection technique used was distributing questionnaires to 97 respondents of JKN mobile participants in RW01 Cilodong sub-district who were the subjects of this study. Results: The results of the study showed higher interest (52,6%) than no interest (47,4%) in using the JKN mobile application. Knowledge of JKN mobile application information on JKN participants in RW01 Cilodong sub district is good (59,8%). Motivation influences (69,1%) the interest in using the JKN mobile application. Environmental factors influence (66%) interest in using the JKN Mobile application. Discussion: It was found that more JKN mobile participants in RW01 Cilodong sub-district were interested (52,6%) than not interested (47,4%). It is known that knowledge about the JKN mobile application among JKN participants in RW01 Cilodong subdistrict is higher among those who are good (59,8%) than those who are not good (40,2%). It is known that the motivation factor on the interest in using the JKN mobile application among JKN participants in RW01 Cilodong District has a greater effect (69,1%) than no effect (30,9%). It is known that social environmental factors influence the interest in using the JKN mobile application among JKN participants in RW01 Cilodong Subdistrict more (66%) than do not influence (34%).

Abstract

Introduction: Breast cancer patients who are undergoing radiation therapy are susceptible to skin toxicity. Methods: Using a quasi-experimental method. Pre-test-post-test research type. Results: Based on the results of research on the effect of administering aloe vera on skin toxicity (side effects) in breast cancer patients who were exposed to radiotherapy with a p-value = 0,000 < α (0,05). Discussion: There is an influence between administering aloe vera on skin toxicity (side effects) in breast cancer patients who are exposed to radiotherapy.

Abstract

Introduction: Primary dysmenorrhea is a condition that occurs due to changes in the hormone prostaglandin which is a hormone produced by the lining of the uterus. Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2021 found an incidence of 1,769,425 women (90%) who experienced dysmenorrhea. In Cianjur in 2021 from regional health report data it was found that 1,07-1,31% of the number of visits to the obstetrics department were dysmenorrhea sufferers. It was reported that 30-60% of female teenagers experienced dysmenorrhea 7-15% did not go to school or work.  Methods: This research uses quantitative methods with a cross-sectional study design. The total population is 176 female students and the sample size of 64 female students using a probability sampling technique using a random sampling system.  Results: The results of statistical tests obtained p-value ​​for menarche (0.000); exercise habits (0,000); and length of menstruation (0,000); which means that H0 is rejected and it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between manarche exercise habits and length of menstruation with the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea for young women in class X at SMAN 1 Sindangbarang, Cianjur district in 2024.  Discussion: From the results of this research there are still predisposing factors that influence the condition of dysmenorrhea and menstruation in female students apart from the factors studied such as the habit of consuming junk food, heredity and also their nutritional patterns. Suggestions from the research that has been carried out the researcher tries to provide several suggestions to future researchers. With the hope that the suggestions given can be useful in further research.

Abstract

Introduction: Patient satisfaction can be interpreted as one part of the quality of service that directly or indirectly affects hospital services. Patient satisfaction can be felt by someone who has seen results (outcomes) that meet their expectations. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of service units, gender and payment methods on patient satisfaction at Hospital X Cileungsi in December 2022 - January 2023. Methods: The quantitative research method uses an analytic observational method with a cross sectional study design. The research data use data driven research with the data source used namely secondary data obtained from the results of questionnaires obtained from hospital records in the quality and accreditation section. The sampling technique uses the Non Probability Sampling technique by means of Purposive Sampling. The study population was all patients of Hospital X Cileungsi who received emergency ward, outpatient and inpatient care with inclusion criteria of 1208 respondents. Results: Based on the research results, it is known that there is an influence of service unit (sig < 0,001) gender (sig < 0,002) and method of payment (sig < 0,001) on patient satisfaction. Discussion: It is hoped that the results of this study can be input so that the managerial division of the hospital is to be able to evaluate the service standards provided to patients in outpatient and inpatient care so that patients do not only feel satisfied in the emergency ward but can also feel satisfied with outpatient and inpatient services.

Abstract

Introduction: Nurse services is said to be good if the fulfillment of patient needs goes according to standards and good service will create a level of patient satisfaction according to standard. There are 5 factors that influence patient satisfaction namely responsiveness, reliability, assurance, empathy and tangibles. With these factor patients can assess how the nursing services they receive and can perceive whether they are in accordance with what the patient wants or not. Methods: The data scale of this study is ordinal scale and uses the Spearman statistical test. The Spearman Rho is one of the non-parametric associative bivariate tests. This mean that the non-parametric test is used to see the strength of a relationship between two variables that have an ordinal measurement scale. Results: The results of the research showed that the results of the Spearman statistical test for the variable Nurse Services and Satisfaction had a degree of significance p (0,001); which means that the results of the statistical test showed p < 0,05; so H1 was accepted and it meant that there was a relationship between the two variables. Judging from the results of the Correlation Coefficient or how strong a relationship between the two variables is the result is 0,744 which means very strong. Discussion: There is a relationship between nurse services and the level of patient satisfaction at the Primary Clinic of the Central Bureau of Statistics.

Abstract

Introduction: Outpatient satisfaction is one of the indicators to measure the success of a service provided the achievement of outpatient satisfaction at Hermina Mekarsari Hospital.This study aims to determine the relationship between excellent service, service rates and facilities with general outpatient patient satisfaction at Hermina Mekarsari Hospital in 2023. Methods: This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The sample in this study were general outpatients at Hermina Mekarsari Hospital in February-March. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a sample size of 131 respondents. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. Results: This research show that 90 (68,7%) respondents were satisfied with the services provided; 75 (57,3%) respondents thought that the general outpatient of Hermina Mekarsari Hospital provided excellent service; 77 (58,8%) respondents thought that the service rates in the general outpatient of Hermina Mekarsari Hospital were appropriate and more than half  namely 72 (55%) respondents thought that the facilities in the outpatient of Hermina Mekarsari Hospital were complete. There is a relationship between excellent service (p-value = 0,002); service rates (p-value = 0,004) and facilities (p-value = 0,008) with patient satisfaction. Discussion: There is a relationship between excellent service, service rates and facilities with general outpatient patient satisfaction at Hermina Mekarsari Hospital.

Abstract

Introduction: The incidence of hypertension continues to increase every year and the problems that often occur in hypertensive patients are non-compliance with therapy or treatment, changing lifestyles and complications due to hypertension. This is influenced by the beliefs that individuals have to change their behavior, namely poor drug taking behavior. In addition, one of the factors that also plays a role in drug-taking behavior is the work environment. Methods: The data scale of this study is ordinal scale and uses the chi-square statistical test. The chi-square is one of the non-parametric associative bivariate tests. This means that the non-parametric test is used to see the strength of the relationship between two variables that have an ordinal measurement scale. Results: This study shows that there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and medication taking behavior with a p-value = 0,002 < 0,05. And there is a significant relationship between work environment and drug taking behavior with a p-value = 0,004 < 0,05. Discussion: There is a relationship between self-efficacy and work environment with medication taking behavior in hypertensive patients of the Central Bureau of Statistics.
