Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop an Articulate Storyline-based learning application on Light and Optics so that it can help make learning more interesting and fun. With this application, it is hoped that students will be more interested and understand more about the material and concepts of Light and Optics. The type of research that the author uses is research and development R&D, which is the process used to develop and validate educational products. We conclude that the application that we make is interesting and the questions and sample questions that we provide already cover the material discussed and are easy to understand, it's just that there needs to be improvements or developments regarding design and color changes, icons that need to be aligned. Keywords: Articulate Storyline, Light and Optics, interesting.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of teaching materials in ethnoscience-based science and physics learning on students' scientific literacy, determined through Effect Size (ES). This study uses a descriptive meta-analysis study method. Research data were obtained from 20 journals on the effect of ethnoscience-based physics and science teaching materials on students' scientific literacy. The study is based on three categories, namely the level of education, types of teaching materials and scientific literacy skills. The results showed that; first, the effect of teaching materials in ethnoscience-based science and physics learning on scientific literacy based on education level has a positive effect on all levels of education starting from elementary, junior high, high school and college students. Second, based on the type of teaching materials used, namely modules, worksheets, videos, teaching materials, reading books and comics, they have a high effect. Third, based on the scientific literacy of students, it shows that the use of ethnoscience-based science and physics teaching materials is effective in increasing students' scientific literacy. Keywords: Meta Analysis, Teaching Materials, scientific literacy

Abstract

Learning in Indonesia does not encourage learners to think critically. Based on the results of the study states that learning in school has not been able to cultivate critical thinking skills in learners because learning still tends to be teacher-centered. The critical thinking skills of learners in the schools studied are still relatively low. Research from various researchers has previously stated that guided inquiry models can improve the ability of critical thinking pills. The purpose of this study is to find out if there is an influence on the critical thinking skills of learners who apply LKPD based on the guided inquiry learning model based on PhET Simulation compared to applying conventional PhET-assisted learning models only. This research is a pseudo-experiment using the Design Counter Balance. Data capture using the t-test. The results of the implementation of LKPD based on the PhET-assisted inquiry model show that there is an influence on the critical thinking skills of learners rather than conventional models with PhET.Keywords: LKPD, Guided Inquiry, PhET Simulation, and Critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Learning motivation is crucial in the learning process. The motivation to learn will also be able to affect their academic abilities, and this will be one of the supporters of the success of the learning process. Judging from the importance of the function of learning motivation, the purpose of this study is to measure the level of learning motivation through self-assessment instruments with the aim of knowing how high learning motivation is in learning physics. The object of this research was the students of class X SMA 1 Kalasan, with a total of 60 respondents. This research is development research with a 4D design, namely define (definition), design (planning), develop (development, and disseminate). The data collection method in this study uses a questionnaire method with a Likert scale. Based on the results of the analysis, the self-assessment instrument has validity and is quite good with numbers above 0.330. And the reliability is quite high with the number 0.492. Based on this data, the self-assessment instrument can be said to be valid and reliable, so it is feasible to use it to measure the learning motivation of students. Keywords: Instruments; Self-assessment; Learning motivation

Abstract

Interest in learning is crucial in the learning process. With an interest in learning, it will also be able to affect their academic abilities, and this will be one of the supporters of the success of the learning process. Judging from the importance of the function of interest in learning, the purpose of this research is to develop electronic learning media to increase students' interest in learning. The object of this research, is the students of class X MIPA 2 and X MIPA 4 SMA 1 Kalasan with a total of 70 people. This research is development research with ADDIE design. The data collection method in this study used a questionnaire method with a Likert scale. Based on the analysis, the questionnaire obtained by X MIPA 2 is 84.5% and X MIPA 4 is 86.5%. Based on this data, the questionnaire can be said to be valid, so it is feasible to use it to increase student interest in learning. Keywords: interest in learning; electronic learning
