Abstract

The company's fire accident report data in the last 5 years has 7 fire cases. The description of fire control shows that workers have different APAR usage behavior. The company has conducted fire extinguisher training once a year but not thoroughly so that the knowledge and skills of each worker are different. This study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge and skills with fire extinguisher use behavior among production workers in Karawang automotive company. This type of research was analytic observational with a crosssectional approach. The population in this study were 105 production workers, then using a minimum sample with the Slovin formula, the sample size was 92 respondents. The sampling technique used simple random sampling technique. Measurement of knowledge and behavior using a questionnaire. Measurement of skills using a checklist. Somers'd test was used for bivariate analysis and ordinal logistic regression test for multivariate analysis. Somers'd test results between APAR knowledge and APAR use behavior (p = 0.0001), APAR use skills with APAR use behavior (p = 0.0001). The results of the ordinal logistic regression test show that APAR knowledge has the most significant relationship with a p value = 0.0001 and t = 37.759.

Abstract

PT Mekar Armada Jaya was an automotive manufacturing company. In the production process, it was assisted by work equipment in the welding production section in the form of welding and grinding tools that can cause sparks. The spark was one of the factors in the occurrence of fires. Fire extinguisher training has never been carried out and workers do not have good knowledge. One way to increase fire extinguisher knowledge was by educating fire extinguishers to production workers. The research method used was an experimental design (quasi-experiment) with a research design of one-group pretest-posttest design. Respondents were taken from welding production workers totaling 45 respondents. The sampling technique used was total sampling. Measurement of the level of knowledge of the use of fire extinguisher using questionnaires. Technical data analysis uses a non-parametric alternative test, namely the Wilcoxon test. The average result of the knowledge pretest using fire extinguisher was 8.11 and posttest 14.18. The results of the analysis on the Wilcoxon test obtained negative ranks were 0 meaning that no workers have decreased knowledge value from pretest to posttest, positive ranks are 45 workers have increased pretest scores to posttest and ties was 0 meaning that no workers have the same value between pretest and posttest. p value 0. (p-value < 0.05) shows that there was an influence of fire extinguisher education on knowledge of using fire extinguisher. There was correlation between fire extinguisher education on knowledge of the use of fire extinguisher in PT Mekar Armada Jaya production workers.

Abstract

Weaving workers at the Lurik Indah Klasik Industry in Klaten are at risk of experiencing healthproblems caused by repetitive movements performed over long periods. One of the most commoncomplaints is hand pain, which can result from continuous muscle and joint strain without sufficientmovement variation or adequate rest. The weaving activity requires constant use of the hands and wrists, which increases the risk of muscle fatigue and musculoskeletal disorders. This study aims to determinethe relationship between repetitive movements and hand pain symptoms among weaving workers atLurik Indah Klasik Industry, Klaten. The research design employed an observational analytic approachwith a cross-sectional method. The study population consisted of 28 workers, and all were included asresearch subjects using the total sampling technique. The instrument used to assess pain levels was theNumeric Rating Scale (NRS), while the relationship analysis was conducted using the Somers’d test. The results showed a significant relationship between repetitive movements and hand pain symptoms, with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.583, indicating a moderate relationship. These findings suggestthat the higher the frequency and duration of repetitive movements, the more likely workers are toexperience hand pain. Therefore, ergonomic interventions such as implementing rest breaks, introducing movement variation, and improving working posture are recommended to reduce the riskof hand pain among weaving workers.

Abstract

Psychiatric inpatient nurses interact directly with psychiatric patients. Nurses need patience and high vigilance. High workload can cause work stress. This study aims to determine the relationship between mental workload and working period with work stress in inpatient nurses at the RSJD Surakarta. The type of research used was analytic observational with cross sectional design. The population amounted to 211 people and after experiencing inclusion and exclusion, the target population was 83 nurses. Sampling using proportionate stratified random sampling technique so that a sample of 75 people. The instruments used were the NASA-TLX questionnaire for the mental workload variable, the questionnaire for the work period variable and the HSE questionnaire for the work stress variable. The analysis technique used Somers'D test and ordinal logistic regression. Somers'D test results show that there is a significant relationship between mental workload and job stress (p=0.001), positive correlation direction, and moderate correlation coefficient (r=0.422). Somers'D correlation test results show that there is a significant relationship between tenure and job stress (p=0.000), negative correlation direction, and moderate correlation coefficient (r=-0.392). Multivariate test results showed that the variable that most influenced the work stress variable was the tenure variable (wald value=14.078). There is a significant correlation between mental workload and working period with work stress in RSJD Surakarta.

Abstract

Mango (Mangifera indica L.) is a fruit rich in fiber, vitamin C and β-carotene. Mango production in Indonesia is quite high, but export value is still low due to various post-harvest problems. Maturity level is one of the keys in the mango trade, but it is difficult to maintain due to the climatic nature of the fruit. A grading process is required to separate mangoes with optimal ripeness levels until they reach consumers. Maturity level can be measured through various parameters, including physical and chemical attributes. There are two methods to determine the ripeness of mango fruit, destructive and non-destructive. The destructive method uses bay flower extract as a pH indicator. The non-destructive method uses double ring resonator technology, HSI color space transformation, and fruit position in water. The results show that the HSI color space transformation method is more recommended because it is simpler and more efficient.
