Abstract

Discipline can have a significant impact on student learning outcomes. It is believed that instilling a disciplined attitude towards learning can assist children in achieving success at school. In high-grade elementary schools, guidance activities that promote discipline in learning have been found to have a significant impact on Indonesian language learning outcomes. Tutoring is one measure that can be used to assess learning success for elementary school students. This study explores the effects of discipline guidance on the learning outcomes of Indonesian students. To ensure positive behaviour among elementary school children, it is important to instil the value of discipline in them. Negative consequences, such as incomplete assignments or disobedience of school rules, can result from deviant behaviour, which is not worth emulating. Therefore, it is crucial to teach elementary school children the importance of discipline for their own benefit. Hence, it is crucial to encourage the development of discipline from a young age, as it can become a habitual practice that will have a long-term effect on their behaviour as they mature.

Abstract

Physical education is one of the solutions to instil character values in the primary school environment. Teachers must have a sense of responsibility to instil values and standards in students through the teaching process, both in teaching and learning activities and outside of teaching and learning activities such as reflection on good behaviour to the students themselves, which aims to be able to instil and change the character, especially the discipline character of students for the better. This research uses qualitative library research by collecting library materials from various writings, both books and journals, related to the implementation of character education in civic education, both in international and national journals. Therefore, dealing with the morality of character education of children from early age is the most important key to be built and implemented in the life of the state. Thus, the character of students who can personally follow school rules is the most needed character in the school environment, namely through physical education. The conclusion of this research shows that through physical education subjects is a way to shape the character of students. Therefore, character development in primary schools is the most important thing in creating moral and disciplined learners in the life of the country. Character development is also influenced by the conditions and environment in which students grow and develop. It is hoped that physical education that instills character values can have a positive impact on the moral and character development of students.

Abstract

Abstract

Physical education plays a very important role in early childhood development as it can improve gross motor skills through physical activity. The type of research used is a literature review study. A literature review study is a type of research that is carried out by studying books, literature, notes and various reports related to the problem to be solved. A literature review is a summary of the analysis of a body of research on a particular research problem by describing, evaluating and clarifying the knowledge that is already known in a subject area (Easterby-Smith, Thorpe, & Jackson, 2015: 13 in the journal Radiusman, 2020). Human physical development involves various aspects that are influenced by the systems and functions of the body's organs.The nervous system has a major impact on intelligence and emotional development. In the process of formal learning, primary school children make a lot of body movements and on average at this age they do not want to be restrained or still want to be free to learn through play. The conclusion of this article is that although their motor development is more organised at primary school age than in earlier years, it should be facilitated in a positive way.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the importance of Physical Education, Sports, and Health in promoting the movement development of elementary school students. A significant concern is the insufficient awareness and understanding among parents regarding the significance of physical education in the growth and development of their children, despite the crucial role parents play in supporting their children's growth and development through home-based training. Moreover, it is worth noting that the lack of participation of educational institutions in promoting children's motor skills is a matter of concern. Hence, it is imperative that parents, educational institutions, and the local community work together to increase awareness and support for physical education in children. This study utilizes a qualitative descriptive methodology to offer comprehensive explanations of both general and specific aspects, as well as scientific methods. Secondary data is employed, sourced from relevant books and journals related to the research topic, as this constitutes a literature review. The role of physical education (PE) is considered strategic as it aims to enhance students' movement experience and development by aligning physical activities with specific goals. By prioritising various types of physical activities and encouraging students to participate, these options aim to educate students on the importance of being active and competitive in achieving academic goals. These activities can help students consistently and effectively improve their basic movement skills. Physical education, sports, and health are considered essential for improving students' movement and social skills. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the role of physical education in the character development of students. The task of character based education that combines character development with physical education that can maximise all aspects of the child's development (cognitive, physical, social-emotional, creative and spiritual) is currently needed.This educational paradigm focuses on the development of children as human beings.The method used in this research is a literature review, research sources can be obtained from various sources such as journals, books, documentation, internet, literature and other sources relevant to the research. The data collection technique used in the literature review is by collecting various references and references that are relevant to the topic of the problem under study, using the Google Scholar database by entering the keywords "the role of physical education teachers in building student character". This study found that physical education plays an important role in the formation and cultivation of character in students. The conclusion of this study is that physical education approaches can promote psychological and character development in students.

Abstract

Indonesia is a part of the world that has natural wealth and biodiversity that is very important for life, one of which is the forest. Indonesia's forests play an important role in maintaining the stability of the world's climate. The sustainability of the forest is the result of various processes that occur in the life of the forest ecology. A forest ecosystem has a social system consisting of humans, and then there is the ecosystem environment itself. Problems that occur, such as slashing and burning, are one of the factors that can have a significant impact on the existence of the environment and life in it. This article discussed forest sustainability and fostering a sense of environmental love for students in Indonesia by discussing various materials related to 1) The condition of forest sustainability in Indonesia. 2) Maintaining and promoting a sense of environmental love. The type of data used by the author in this research is data obtained from literature studies. In the process of writing this article, the author collects all data related to the topic of discussion, namely about the attitudes and behaviour of a person to preserve the forest and instill an attitude of environmental love. Abstract

Education is a means of acquiring knowledge. In this context, a teacher or educator serves as a guide.  Not a few teachers violate and ignore the Teachers' Code of Ethics, even though the Teachers' Code of Ethics is very important for the world of education. Whatever the profession, there must be binding standards to ensure that the profession and the teaching profession are well run. Professional teachers are certainly bound by the existing code of ethics, but unfortunately there are still many teachers with professional teacher certification who do not reflect professionalism and violate the teacher code of ethics. This paper aims to respond to the concerns of educational practitioners who feel that there are still many people who do not act and behave in accordance with the rules. Therefore, it is very important to understand and respect the professional code of ethics, especially in the teaching profession, because by understanding and respecting the professional code of ethics that has been established, doing work and service will feel very happy. The enforcement of this code of ethics must also be based on constructive principles, among others: Tut Wuri Handayani Principle, Justice Principle, Family Principle, Communication Principle and Teacher Principle. These principles are in line with the philosophy of education initiated by philosophers of education.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how well the physical condition of volleyball men's players at SMA Negeri 3 Kaur Regency. This research is a descriptive research with the method used is the survey method. The subjects of this study were all male volleyball players of SMA 3 Kaur Regency, which were 25 people. In this study using a test to determine the explosive power of leg muscles, arm muscle explosive power, agility, eye-hand coordination, flexibility and aerobic endurance related to the physical condition of male volleyball players. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. The instruments in the data collection of this study used tests and measurements of physical conditions which consisted of Vertical Jump Test, One Hand Medicine Ball Putt, Dodging Run Test, Tennis Ball Throwing, Flexiometer Test, Bleep Test. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the physical condition of volleyball men's high school 3 Kaur Regency is categorized as very good at 8% (2 athlete), in the good category of 32% (8 athlete), in the moderate category, and less than 60% (15 athlete).
