Abstract

Background. A full-day school is an educational system whose learning runs from morning to evening, or over one day. In Indonesia, schools that implement the lunch program are still relatively few, accounting for 0.16% in 2016. School feeding is enforced to meet students' macro- and micronutrient needs, so that later it can improve students' intake and nutritional status. However, implementing the school lunch program faces several obstacles. This is due to the poor quality of the menu and the lack of variety, so students do not have the opportunity to choose their food. Play Group (Kb), Tk Darul Hikam Cirebon, is one of the full-day schools that provides lunch. Aims. The purpose of this study is to find out the description of the lunch menu in the Play Group (Kb) of Tk Darul Hikam Cirebon. Methods. This study uses Descriptive Observational. The data collected are both primary and secondary. Primary data includes setting menu patterns, portion standards, menu cycles, and menu arrangement using Checklist Sheets. Secondary data on the general picture in the Play Group (KB) at Darul Hikam Kindergarten in Cirebon City were obtained from the principal. Result. The research results of the Play Group (KB) at Darul Hikam Cirebon Kindergarten have established a menu pattern comprising carbohydrate dishes, animal side dishes, navati side dishes, and fruits. The Play Group (KB) of Darul Hikam Cirebon Kindergarten does not have a standard portion except for animal side dishes and selinagan. The menu cycle is 5 days, and the lunch menu is arranged in accordance with the principles of balanced nutrition. Conclusions. The Play Group (KB) of Darul Hikam Cirebon Kindergarten does not have a standard portion except for animal side dishes and selinagan Involvement. The menu cycle is 5 days, and the lunch menu is arranged in accordance with the principles of balanced nutrition.

Abstract

Background. Anemia in adolescents is a significant global health problem. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the prevalence of anemia in adolescents worldwide ranges from 40% to 88% of the total adolescent population, which reaches 1.2 billion people, or about 18% of the world's population. Aims. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the knowledge and attitudes of adolescent girls and adherence to blood supplement tablet consumption by 2025. Methods. This study uses a quantitative approach with an analytical descriptive design. This design was chosen to analyze the relationship between independent variables (adolescent girls' knowledge and attitudes about anemia) and dependent variables (adherence to the consumption of blood-boosting tablets). Conclusion. These findings underscore the need for a holistic approach that combines enhanced knowledge with strategies to address environmental and behavioral barriers, thereby improving the consistency of blood booster supplement consumption. Implementation. The results of this study are expected to contribute to efforts to prevent anemia through increasing compliance with TTD consumption.

Abstract

Background. Modernization and economic dynamics are the main factors driving social change in urban and rural communities. These changes not only affect social and cultural structures but also significantly impact public health patterns, access to health services, and healthy living behaviors. Purpose. This article aims to analyze the influence of modernization and economics on social changes that affect public health in urban and rural areas. Method. The method used is a literature review with a qualitative-descriptive approach, drawing on scientific literature, policy reports, and previous research results. Conclusion. The results show that modernization accelerates the transformation of lifestyles, value systems, and health consumption patterns, while economic factors determine the level of accessibility and quality of health services. In urban communities, modernization tends to increase access to health facilities but also triggers the development of degenerative diseases due to lifestyle changes. In contrast, in rural areas, economic and infrastructure constraints lead to health inequalities, although social solidarity is still relatively strong. Implementation. This article emphasizes the importance of the health sociology approach in formulating equitable and health-oriented development policies.

The sampling technique proposes "non probability sampling" with the purposive sampling method. The research instrument used medical records and questionnaire sheets and statistical analysis using Chi-Square test analysis. Results. The results of the relationship between knowledge and the accuracy of the 3-month injectable birth control acceptor revisit with a p value of 0.000 < α (0.05), the relationship between husband support and the accuracy of the 3-month injectable birth control acceptor with a p value of 0.002. Conclusion. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between knowledge and support of husbands and the timeliness of re-injection of injectable birth control acceptors for 3 months at the Aulia Medika Primary Clinic, Cirebon Regency in 2025.

Abstract

Background. The global prevalence of anemia. According to estimates from the World Health Organization (WHO), around 40% of children aged 6-59 months, 37% of pregnant women, and 30% of women aged 15-49 worldwide experience anemia. In Indonesia, the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia among pregnant women was 37.1% in 2020 and 24.5% in 2021. The impact of anemia on pregnant women includes significant complications for both the mother and the fetus. Based on this data, Kedokanbunder Health Center is among the health centers with the highest anemia rates in Indramayu district, affecting 104 pregnant women. Aims. This study aims to determine the relationship between the factors associated with anemia. Methods: The research design is quantitative, correlational. The population consists of pregnant women in the working area of the Kedokanbunder Community Health Center, totaling 88 individuals, and the sampling method used is Accidental Sampling. The instrument used is a questionnaire, and the data analysis techniques are univariate and bivariate, with the Chi-square test used to analyze the data. Result. The research results showed that among pregnant women, the majority (53, 60.2%) had no anemia. The Chi-square test results indicated a p-value of 0.978 for age (p > 0.05), a p-value of 0.006 for education (p < 0.05), a p-value of 0.019 for parity (p < 0.05), a p-value of 0.008 for knowledge (p < 0.05), and a p-value of 0.202 for economic status (p < 0.05). Conclusion. Based on the results, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between education, knowledge, parity, and the occurrence of anemia. There is no relationship between age and economic status with the occurrence of anemia. Implementation. It is recommended for health workers to carry out preventive measures by providing education about pregnant women through maternal classes and performing early detection of risk factors for anemia in pregnant women at Puskesmas Kedokanbunder, Indramayu regency, at 2025

Abstract

Background. The only flying mammals, bats, play an essential role in their natural habitat. Based on the type of food, bats can be divided into two groups: fruit-eating bats and insect-eating bats. Bats rank second-highest in species diversity, with 1,439 worldwide and 239 in Indonesia. Known as reservoirs of viruses, including coronaviruses. Aims. Bats are suspected to be related to COVID-19. Under the Research Innovation and Collaboration Program - Higher Education for Technology and Innovation Project (HETI) University of Lampung 2024-2025, and in collaboration with the Lampung Disease Investigation Centre, learning the procedures for handling bats properly so as not to physically harm bats in oral swab sampling and species recognition in Braja Harjosari, directly next to Way Kambas National Park was done. Methods. The life-trapping technique uses a mist net. Bat handling for taking oral swab was carried out using the pinch grip method, which is holding both arms of the bat backwards utilizing the thumb and middle finger with the bat positioned facing upwards. Conclusion. The bat's mouth is then blown open and a cotton swab is gently inserted into the bat's mouth. Afterwards, the bat is rested, given water drops, and released into nature. Oral swab samples from 10 individual bats: frugivorous bats, Cynopterus brachyotis (n = 8), Cynopterus horsfieldii (n = 1), and insectivorous bat, Scotophilus kuhlii (n = 1).
