Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of interpersonal communication on employee performance at the Department of Industry and Trade of Gowa Regency. Interpersonal communication is an essential element in creating a productive and harmonious work environment, which directly impacts the effectiveness of employee performance. This research employs a quantitative approach using a descriptive method. The sample consisted of 37 respondents, representing the entire staff of the institution, selected through a saturated sampling method. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression. The results indicate that interpersonal communication has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. This is evidenced by a significance value of 0.001 (< 0.05) and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.285, meaning that interpersonal communication explains 28.5% of the variation in employee performance. These findings reinforce the importance of interpersonal communication in improving work quality, productivity, and interpersonal relationships among employees in government organizations. Therefore, strengthening interpersonal communication is recommended as a strategy to enhance employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Profit Sharing System in Paria Village, Duampanua District, Pinrang Regency. The type of research used is a qualitative research method. The data obtained are the results of interviews and observations from the Owner Farmers and Cultivators. In this study, the data sources used in data collection include primary data and secondary data. The data analysis technique used in this study uses descriptive, namely a way of thinking that departs from specific facts and concrete events to be generalized. The results showed that the profit-sharing system carried out by the community in Paria village orally on the basis of mutual trust and as a family. The profit-sharing system is divided into 3, where the sharecropper gets 2 shares and the owner farmer gets 1 share. with an agreement that has been agreed that all costs for working on the fields are borne by the tenant farmers. Constraints faced are crop failure caused by pests, insufficient water or drought and lack of capital. The way to overcome obstacles in the event of crop failure is to communicate directly with the land owner regarding the obstacles encountered

Abstract

This study investigates the critical relationship between industrial sector growth, provincial minimum wage (UMP) levels, and labor absorption within the processing industry of South Sulawesi Province from 2010 to 2018. The research was guided by the objective to empirically determine the extent to which industrial expansion and wage policies influence job creation in this key economic sector. Utilizing quantitative methods, a time-series analysis was conducted employing multiple linear regression on secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of South Sulawesi. The analysis included rigorous testing for classical assumptions such as normality, multicollinearity, autocorrelation, and heteroscedasticity to ensure the reliability of the findings. The primary results indicate a significant positive influence of industrial sector growth on labor absorption, confirming its role as a crucial driver of employment. However, the study found that the provincial minimum wage did not have a statistically significant impact on labor absorption during the period, despite a negative coefficient. The findings underscore the importance of fostering industrial growth as a strategy for job creation in regions like South Sulawesi, while highlighting the need for carefully calibrated wage policies that align with economic productivity to support sustainable employment. This research contributes empirical evidence specific to a developing regional context, informing both academic understanding and policy development in labor market dynamics.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the unclear regarding the award of honorarium for excess teaching hours at the Ujung Pandang State Polytechnic. This research aims to find out the rules for determining excess teaching hours and honorarium for excess teaching hours for Ujung Pandang State Polytechnic lecturers, to find out their implementation and the conformity of implementation with the rules.The method used is quantitative descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques are documentation and interviews. The results of this research are the rules for determining excess teaching hours and honorarium for excess teaching hours for Ujung Pandang State Poly- technic lecturers: The mandatory teaching load is 9 credits which are charged from practicum courses first; The maximum teaching load is 24 credits; The teaching load that can be paid as excess teaching hours is a maximum of 15 credits; The teaching load paid as excess teaching hours is calculated from theoretical lectures first; Lecturers who are continuing their studies do not have a mandatory teaching load. The Implementation for determining excess teaching hours for Ujung Pandang State Polytechnic lecturers is to calculate the number of credits taught in regular D3 and D4 classes. The maximum number is 24 minus 9 credits. The difference is the excess teaching hours expressed in credit units. The excess teaching hours are first calculated from the credits for theory courses. If the number of excess teaching hours is less than the number of credits for theory courses, then the remainder is taken from the credits for practical courses. The unit uses theory credits and practical hours. The implementation of determining the honorarium for excess teaching hours for Ujung Pandang State Polytechnic lecturers can clearly be calculated using mathematical formulas. The implementation of determining excess teaching hours and honorarium for excess teaching hours for Ujung Pandang State Polytechnic lecturers is in accordance with the applicable regulations

Abstract

Muh. Multazam, Penerapan Kepemimpinan Karismatik Pada Kepala Puskesmas Bontonompo I Kabupaten Gowa. Dibimbing oleh Harbani Pasolong dan Andi Yahya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan kepemimpinan karismatik pada Kepala Puskesmas Bontonompo I Kabupaten Gowa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang didukung data kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh, yaitu seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel sebanyak 31 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, kuesioner dengan skala Guttman, serta wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan tabulasi frekuensi dan deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kepemimpinan karismatik pada Kepala Puskesmas Bontonompo I dapat dikategorikan “Tidak Baik”. Dari tujuh indikator yang digunakan yaitu: memiliki pengaruh luar biasa, kepercayaan pengikut, mengedepankan tujuan bersama, visioner, keteladanan, komunikatif atas harapan bersama, dan motivator, diperoleh rata-rata total skor sebesar 71,55% yang termasuk dalam kategori “Tidak Baik”. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik kepemimpinan karismatik Kepala Puskesmas masih belum sepenuhnya dirasakan oleh pegawai, terutama dalam hal motivasi, komunikasi, serta pemberian keteladanan. Oleh karena itu, Kepala Puskesmas perlu meningkatkan gaya kepemimpinannya agar tercipta lingkungan kerja yang lebih efektif, partisipatif, dan inspiratif.
