Abstract

Inflammation is a condition that generally occurs in patients with joint-related diseases or injuries that are characterized by pain. In treating pain, the drugs often used are NSAIDs, especially COX-2, which have advantages for patients with Gastrointestinal (GI) problems and are relatively safe for patients with a Cardiovascular (CV) disease history. In the retail pharmacy, the Sanisphere data shows that 33% of pharmacy transaction sales volume is driven by recommendations from pharmacists and frontline employees. Pharmaceutical companies have a significant opportunity to increase demand through pharmacist recommendations in the retail segment, especially for NSAIDs COX-2. This research focuses on implementing an effective marketing strategy using the AISAS Model. Qualitative and Quantitative methods use open and closed-question surveys to analyze the perspective of pharmacists and frontliners regarding influencing factors and marketing activities and tools effectively implemented in the retail pharmacy segment. Competitors, marketing mix, Segmentation, targeting, and positioning have also been analyzed in this research. The research results show that pharmacists consider the following factors for COX-2: Drug indications and pain symptoms, Drug Safety, Drug risk, Drug quality, strength, Onset and effectiveness in treating pain, product knowledge, marketing activities, patient economics, and patient’s request on drug molecule. Several practical marketing activities are applied at each stage of the AISAS Model, Detailing product knowledge, merchandise, discounts, seminars, webinars, marketing activities, sponsorships, and sales visiting activities. Pharmaceutical companies can implement this effective marketing activity proposal to increase demand for COX-2 NSAIDs in pharmacies through pharmacist and frontline recommendations

Abstract

The palm oil industry plays an important role in meeting the world's vegetable oil needs, but faces sustainability challenges such as deforestation, land degradation, and land conflicts. This study analyzes the implementation of deforestation-free green supply chain practices in Kandis District, Siak Regency, Riau. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The results show that companies have started to implement ISPO certification standards, including environmental impact management, and multi-stakeholder collaboration, having a significant impact in supporting the palm oil sustainability industry. However, in the implementation of green supply chains, challenges were found in the data collection of supply chains up to the farm level, due to the lack of trust of farmers and the absence of incentives, so it has not been able to ensure deforestation-free supply chains. The jurisdictional approach works to strengthen multi-stakeholder collaboration and accelerate the adoption of sustainable palm oil practices and green supply chains. The conclusion of this study confirms that the implementation of deforestation-free green supply chains can be achieved through the support of improved policies, governance, accelerated ISPO certification, farmer assistance and encouraging partnerships between companies and smallholders, in support of sustainable palm oil practices as a whole.

Abstract

Earnings management is a common practice among companies to adjust financial reports to achieve specific objectives. Factors such as financial distress, leverage, and firm size are suspected to influence earnings management practices. This study aims to analyze the effect of financial distress, leverage, and firm size on earnings management in infrastructure companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020-2022 period. This research uses secondary data in the form of annual reports, with a total sample of 78 companies. The analysis method employed is panel data regression to examine the relationship between independent variables and earnings management as the dependent variable. The results indicate that financial distress has no effect on earnings management, leverage has no effect on earnings management, and firm size also has no effect on earnings management. These findings imply that these factors are not the primary determinants of earnings management practices in Indonesian infrastructure companies, highlighting the need for further research by considering other more relevant variables.

Abstract

Global geopolitical uncertainty, including trade wars, regional conflicts, and tensions between major countries, have increased risks to the macroeconomic stability of developing countries, including Indonesia. These external dynamics have an impact on inflation, exchange rates, capital flows, and national economic growth. Therefore, responsive monetary policy is needed to maintain price stability while supporting sustainable economic growth. This study aims to analyze the influence of global geopolitical shocks on Indonesia's economic stability, evaluate the effectiveness of monetary policy in the face of external uncertainties, and formulate a responsive and adaptive monetary policy strategy. The research method uses a mixed-method approach. Quantitative analysis was conducted using the Vector Autoregression (VAR) and Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) models to assess the dynamic relationship between global geopolitical indicators, inflation, exchange rates, and economic growth. Meanwhile, a qualitative approach is carried out through a systematic literature review of the experiences of developing countries in facing global pressures. Secondary data was obtained from Bank Indonesia, BPS, IMF, and World Bank for the period 2010–2024. The results of the study show that global geopolitical shocks increase inflation, encourage rupiah depreciation, and increase capital outflow risks. Responsive monetary policy, especially through BI Rate instruments and market interventions, has proven to be able to cushion medium-term pressures. However, the effectiveness of monetary policy is highly dependent on coordination with fiscal and macroprudential policies. These findings underscore the importance of including global geopolitical variables in Indonesia's monetary policy formulation to ensure inclusive growth and long-term stability.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged the emergence of hybrid work models as a new strategy in managing human resources, especially in the technology sector. This model combines the flexibility of remote work with the need for face-to-face interaction in the office. This study aims to analyze the impact of hybrid work on employee productivity and well-being in technology companies in Indonesia. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a survey of 120 respondents who work in digital-based technology companies. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to test the influence of hybrid work variables on employee productivity and well-being. The results of the study show that the implementation of hybrid work has a positive and significant effect on employee productivity through increasing time flexibility, work efficiency, and workload management. In addition, employee welfare also increases, characterized by a decrease in work stress levels, an increase in work-life balance, and the creation of better job satisfaction. This research provides the implication that hybrid work can be used as an effective human resource management strategy to face the challenges of the digital era, while supporting the achievement of company goals.

Abstract

In the midst of global economic uncertainty marked by market fluctuations, geopolitical crises, and supply chain disruptions, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are required to have entrepreneurial resilience in order to survive and grow. This study aims to analyze the factors that shape the resilience of MSME entrepreneurs in Indonesia and the adaptation strategies they carry out in the face of economic uncertainty. Using a mixed-method approach, quantitative data was collected from 200 MSME actors through a structured survey, while in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 MSME owners from various business sectors. The research focus includes managerial capabilities, product innovation, business digitalization, and social networks as the main dimensions of resilience. The results show that MSMEs that actively adopt digital technology, strengthen business network collaboration, and invest in product innovation tend to be more resilient in the face of external pressures. In addition, government policy support and access to financing are external factors that strengthen the adaptation capacity of MSMEs. This research contributes to the literature by presenting empirical evidence on the resilience of MSME entrepreneurship in developing countries. Practically, this study offers strategic recommendations for MSME actors, policymakers, and financial institutions to strengthen the resilience of Indonesian MSMEs in facing global challenges.
