Abstract

Seiring perkembangan teknologi, teknik identifikasi suara manusia berdasarkan jenis kelamin sangat diperlukan untuk oleh beberapa pihak terutama dibidang pendidikan. Parameter utama dalam membedakan suara laki-laki dan perempuan adalah frekuensi dari sampel pengucapan satu kata yang sama dengan durasi waktu dan tekanan yang sama. Untuk memudahkan hal tersebut, maka dirancanglah sebuah aplikasi pembeda suara laki-laki dan perempuan berbasis matlab dan hasilnya akan ditingkatkan performansinya dengan metode fuzzy logic. Berdasarkan pengujian aplikasi tersebut, dari 20 sampel suara manusia yang diujikan, ada 1 sample suara yang sulit teridentifikasi, sehingga tingkat keakuratannya hanya 95%. Namun dengan menggunakan metode fuzzy logic, 1 sample suara tersebut dapat diklasifikasikan berupa jenis suara perempuan, sehingga performansi aplikasi pembeda suara laki-laki dan perempuan meningkat menjadi 100%. Hasil akhir penelitian ini diperoleh range frekuensi sinyal suara laki-laki 81.93 Hz sampai 233.3 Hz sedangkan range frekuensi sinyal suara perempuan 316.9 Hz sampai 575.5 Hz.

Abstract

This study proposes the use of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm to optimize the placement of Distributed Generation (DG) on the 20kV distribution system of Pujon feeder, which has 117 buses with the total distribution line length of 59.65 kilometers, with the aim to reduce power losses. In addition, PSO has also been used to determine the capacity of the DG. The JAYA algorithm is used as comparison. It has been proven that the proposed algorithm as well as the comparison algorithm succeeded in determining the optimum location and the capacity of DG to be installed

Abstract

This paper discusses the DVR of on Pujon line with voltage Sag/Dip compensation. The voltage Dip is often the result of Single line-to-ground fault. The voltage Dip makes tripping and damage the load equipment a problem that must be addressed. DVR implementation is used to complement the voltage Dip. The ANN control method was proposed to regulate DVR performance in compensating the voltage Dip. Simulated results demonstrated with the implementation of a DVR in the Pujon replay line capable of compensating the voltage of the Single line-to-ground fault from a voltage drop that was originally 0536 PU and can be repaired by 0968 PU.

Abstract

The lighting system is one of the biggest uses of electrical energy. Currently, lighting systems, especially emergency lighting, are urgently needed to deal with sudden blackouts at night. The emergency lighting gets a source of electrical energy from the battery and the battery gets a source of electrical energy from PLN. To regulate the source of electrical energy, a DC-DC converter with a bidirectional method is used. The bidirectional converter is a converter that has 2 functions, namely buck mode and boost mode which works when the main source of PLN goes out, automatically the lighting system will be supplied by the battery as a backup source. The buck mode in the charging process is used to store electrical energy into a battery with a battery capacity of 12V 30Ah. While the boost mode in the discharging process is used to distribute electrical energy from the battery to the load with a lamp load of 10W. The charging and discharging processes are controlled using proportional integral control analytic methods. The charging process in buck mode with a Kp value of 8.62 and Ki of 17240, the output voltage value is 13.99V. While the discharging process in boost mode with a Kp value of 2.44 and Ki of 344.63, the output voltage value is 23.99V.

Abstract

Penggunaan kontrol sangat diperlukan dalam pengaturan kecepatan motor DC. Dalam pengaturan kecepatan motor DC, salah satu jenis kontrol yang digunakan adalah kontrol Proportional Integral (PI). Untuk 4 jenis metode pada kontrol PI yang digunakan adalah metode Ziegler Nichole, Chien Servo 1, Chien Regulator 1 dan perhitungan secara analitik yang telah diperoleh dari data yang sudah ada. Namun kontrol dengan PI 4 metode yang digunakan sebagai pembanding memiliki waktu respon kecepatan saat stabil cenderung lambat baik dari nilai settling time, rise time dan steady state. Maka dari itu dilakukan komparasi antara 4 metode kontrol PI dengan penggunaan kontrol fuzzy. Dalam membandingkan antara 4 metode kontrol PI dan kontrol fuzzy terdapat beberapa parameter sebagai perbandingan yaitu maximum overshoot, steady state, rise time dan settling time. Hasil dari perbandingan tersebut adalah kontrol fuzzy dapat menghasilkan performa lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan 4 metode pada kontrol PI. Kontrol fuzzy memiliki nilai rise time sebesar 0,015 detik, nilai settling time sebesar 0,025 detik dengan kecepatan sebesar 2900 rpm serta error steady state sebesar 3,33% tanpa adanya overshoot dan osilasi.

Abstract

The Solar Power Plant is an environmentally friendly, and Indonesia is a tropical country that gets an average of 4.8 kWh of solar light per day. However, in general, the type of solar panel installation is carried out regularly (statistically) at a certain angle so that the solar radiation absorbed by the solar panels is not optimal when the sun turns its back on the solar panel. This study aims to design a site that can optimally absorb sunlight rays using the Tracking Dual Axis Technology method based on the ATmega 2560 microcontroller as a system controller and Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) as a sun tracking sensor. So that it can maximize the absorption of solar radiation by solar panels. The Dual Axis Technology Tracking testers get a maximum Photovoltac voltage of 20.99 volts and a minimum of 19.75 volts and a maximum current of 21.04 mA and a minimum of 14.12 mA.

Abstract

The increasing demand for and tariffs on electricity has made people choose to take the risk of going against the law by illegally stealing currents on state-owned electricity networks. This is very detrimental if there is an electrical short circuit which can cause a fire. Therefore, a physical detection method is needed, namely by directly checking the seal meter and supported by a tool to prevent the occurrence of illegal use of current which is effective so that the measurement directly to the consumer can obtain valid data results. The tool used to overcome the problem of rampant illegal current theft is to install a current transformer (CT) on the kWh meter. Simulations are carried out at the electrical measurement laboratory of the Medan Area University electrical engineering study program by testing the reliability of the current transformer. The test results show that the data on the use of legal load currents and illegal load currents after the installation of current transformers, there is an increase in power where after using the CT the detected power consumption is 426 W, previously the power was fixed at 306 W, using both legal and illegal currents. The research found that simple installation using current transformers is very helpful for PLN in preventing the use of illegal electricity without having to routinely check consumers. Utilization of CT applications can also reduce the occurrence of leakage currents and short circuits in illegal use of electric current.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan implementasi sistem aplikasi Styins Home (Security System Interface Smart Home) berbasis IoT. Penelitian ini bertujuan membangun sistem kontrol dan monitoring kondisi keamanan perangkat rumah jarak jauh secara real-time sehingga mencegah kerugian akibat kelalaian dalam penjagaan kondisi keamanan rumah. Fitur aplikasi meliputi streaming kamera, smart light, smart fan dan detection gas dilengkapi peringatan notifikasi. Aplikasi ini memanfaatkan real-time database firebase sebagai layanan pengelola database dan software android studio. Metode penelitian dalam perancangan sistem aplikasi menggunakan model waterfall. Data hasil pengujian nilai delay menurut standarisasi TIPHON termasuk kualitas delay kategori sangat bagus yaitu 7,1 ms pada streaming kamera 240 kbps dan kualitas delay kategori sedang yaitu 425,08 ms pada smart light, smart fan dan detection gas di firebase 32 kbps sedangkan data hasil pengujian nilai persentasi throughput tertinggi dengan kualitas jaringan sedang yaitu 40,80% pada streaming kamera 240 kbps sedangkan nilai persentasi throughput lainnya memiliki kualitas jaringan yang buruk.

Abstract

The application of kernel functions can solve the problem of non-linear image data so that the data can be linearly separable with a hyperplane by mapping the input space to the feature space to increase its dimensions. This article will discuss the improvement in recognition accuracy obtained by implementing multiple kernels in a PCA based program using linear, polynomial, and gaussian kernels for facial recognition with illumination variations. The matching or recognition process is carried out using the SVM method. Improvements obtained from the application of multiple kernels will be compared with the implementation of a single kernel and see how much improvement of the accuracy. Based on the results of the implementation of multiple kernels, the average improvement in accuracy obtained from the face recognition results with illumination variations is 10.5% compared to a single kernel.

Abstract

The laboratory is a place for students to carry out practicum activities to better understand a subject. In the UBB Electrical Engineering laboratory, a lot of electronic tools and components are used so that an inventory of the equipment and components is needed so that they are easy to use. Previously, the inventory of goods at the Electrical Engineering Laboratory used a manual recording system so that its implementation was not running optimally and was still manual so that many problems occurred. To overcome this, an application is needed that is able to record equipment and components in the laboratory, the borrowing process, returns and the condition of existing goods automatically. This inventory application is made through several stages, namely, problem identification, design, application development and tool barcobe and application implementation stage. The application is made using data processing software, while the barcode is made using Barcode Studio. The results of this study have been applied to the Electrical Engineering Laboratory and are very helpful in the process of borrowing, returning, controlling the condition of existing goods in the laboratory, and making reports and can be done digitally and data storage becomes safer and electronic.
