Abstract

This research explores the contribution of the da'wah of Indonesian female cleric Khairiyyah Hasyim (1906-1983 AD). This study aims to highlight Khairiyyah Hasyim's example so that women today can take inspiration and examples from the work and struggle of this female cleric for the progress of society, especially women. This research method uses a qualitative approach by examining various sources such as books, academic research, videos, online sources, and historical documents. The collected data was analyzed using the explanatory method, where social phenomena are understood based on common sense logic using historical, anthropological, and sociological approaches. The research results show that Indonesian female scholars such as Khairiyyah Hasyim (1946 AD) have made significant contributions to da'wah, thus having an impact on various aspects of people's lives. They actively participate in taklim meetings and invest their resources and time to advance da'wah. With the support of family, students, and the community, they build da'wah facilities and dedicate their time to providing greater benefits.

Abstract

Access to quality primary education is a critical component of a nation's development, with implications for social equity and economic progress. This study aims to compare educational policies and practices in primary education across multiple countries, focusing on assessing access and equity. Engaging with magazines, articles, or books to gather research data constitutes the qualitative methodology employed in this study. The data collection approach adopted in this research involves utilizing the literature review method. Technical and source triangulation were implemented to ensure the data's validity. The data analysis technique follows the model proposed by Miles and Huberman, encompassing four stages: data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The findings reveal significant variations in primary education policies and practices across countries. Successful strategies include targeted financial support for marginalized communities, teacher training programs, and curriculum adaptations that address local needs and cultures. This study underscores the importance of examining and learning from the experiences of different countries to improve access to quality primary education and promote equity. The identified successful strategies can inform policymakers, educators, and stakeholders in designing and implementing more effective policies to ensure all children have equal access to quality primary education. The study ultimately contributes to a broader understanding of the global pursuit of equitable and accessible primary education.

Abstract

Higher education is undergoing significant transformations on a global scale due to increased demand, technological advancements, and evolving quality assurance mechanisms. Understanding the trends in enrollment and quality assurance across different countries is essential for shaping the future of higher education. This research aims to provide insights into the global trends in higher education by conducting a comparative analysis of enrollment patterns and quality assurance mechanisms in diverse countries. The primary objectives are to identify common trends, variations, and best practices in higher education systems worldwide. A comprehensive research methodology was employed to collect data from various countries representing a range of geographic regions and income levels. Enrollment data were gathered from official sources, and quality assurance mechanisms were analyzed through a review of policy documents, accreditation processes, and institutional practices. Both quantitative and qualitative data were used to provide a comprehensive overview. The findings of this study reveal several global trends in higher education. Enrollment rates are generally increasing across countries, driven by a growing demand for tertiary education. However, variations exist in enrollment patterns, with some nations focusing on expanding access to higher education, while others emphasize quality and selectivity. Quality assurance mechanisms are becoming more standardized and transparent, with an emphasis on outcomes-based assessment, program accreditation, and student-centered approaches. Best practices include a balance between access and quality, the use of technology for educational delivery, and strong collaboration between higher education institutions and relevant stakeholders. Higher education is evolving in response to global demand, and this study highlights the importance of balancing access with quality. Quality assurance mechanisms play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and relevance of higher education programs. By comparing trends and practices across countries, this research contributes to a broader understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the global higher education landscape.

Abstract

In today's increasingly globalized world, international collaboration in higher education has become essential for universities and institutions seeking to enhance academic excellence, foster cultural exchange, and address global challenges. However, effective international collaboration in higher education faces a myriad of challenges and offers numerous opportunities that warrant thorough investigation. This research aims to explore the challenges and opportunities associated with international collaboration in higher education within the context of a globalized world. The primary objective is to provide insights into the complexities and potential benefits of such collaborations. A mixed-methods approach was employed to gather data for this study. Quantitative data were collected through surveys and analysis of existing literature on international collaboration in higher education. Qualitative data were obtained through interviews and case studies of universities engaged in international partnerships. The research also involved a comparative analysis of policies and practices across diverse higher education systems. The findings reveal that international collaboration in higher education presents both challenges and opportunities. Challenges include navigating cultural differences, ensuring academic quality and standards, managing logistical complexities, and addressing funding and resource constraints. Opportunities encompass expanding access to global knowledge resources, fostering diverse perspectives, enhancing research productivity, and preparing students for a globally interconnected workforce. International collaboration in higher education is a multifaceted endeavor that demands careful planning, effective communication, and strong institutional commitment. While challenges are inherent, the potential benefits for universities, faculty, and students are substantial. This study underscores the importance of addressing these challenges proactively and leveraging the opportunities presented by international collaboration to advance higher education in a globalized world. As universities continue to engage in cross-border partnerships, a better understanding of the complexities involved will contribute to more successful and impactful international collaborations.
