Abstract

This study aims to describe Ghazali’s sufism and its influences in Southeast Asia, mainly in Indonesia. Al-Ghazali is a renowned Muslim intellectual who has a special place at every Moslem’s heart, especially in Indonesia. He possesses encyclopedic expertise within various disciplines, ranging from fiqh and ulusulfiqh, al-kalam, logic, philosophy, and sufism. Despite his vast expertise, his practices are more well-known in sufism than in Islamic law, theology, and philosophy due to his long journey, exquisite experience, and groundbreaking thinking within the discipline of Sufism. Ghazali developed a new method of thinking within Islamic epistemology, widely known as Irfani epistemology. One of Ghazali’s biggest achievements is that Ghazali is considered successful in integrating between Sufism and the fiqh (sharia) Ghazali demonstrated his intellectual brilliance of integrating both branches of Islamic thinking (between sharia and the essence of Islam). Ghazali’s notable influence and position within the discipline of sufism made him granted the title of “Hujjat al-Islam”.Ghazali’sSufism spreads and influences the development of Sunni Islam not only in the Arabian peninsula but also in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

Abstract

The inclusive society is the condition where all people fell valued. Their differences are respected, and their basic needs are met so they can live in dignity. There are many ways to achieve this dream to become true in society. One of the best ways is to acknowledge woman’ roles as the prime part of the society. As women build half of society and responsible for the nurturing, guidance and reformation of the generations of both men and women. When the women as the first teachers do not have a strong foundation in their own divine identity, we are distorted our beliefs about relationships and our own world, and when it could be accommodated this so called inclusive society. In fact, they are often at a disadvantage condition due to many factors which are rooted in the society. There are some steps that have been done to increase women's dignity by the Government, society, non-governmental organizations and the like. And it is considered successfully develop the life style of most people from the outlook of the education, economic, health, politics and others. However, there is missing link that should be existed on these improvements. The consciousness and the awareness of the women responsibility for her to developing their authentic identity is should be recognized not only by them, but also by the community in general. The family, the society and the Government in general should accommodate their existence, and never ending awareness to be always mature in building the inclusive society

Abstract

Islamic da'wah should be understood as an activity that involves a transformation process that does not just happen but requires awareness from the community to change the situation and condition of the people towards benefit through education and continuous communication. The study in this article uses a qualitative research model with library research techniques and focuses on the study of Islamic da'wah with a maqashid sharia approach. The question to be answered in this study is how da'wah can answer the needs of the people so that it can bring benefits. And as a conclusion, the importance of placing maqashid sharia in every Islamic da'wah. So that Islamic da'wah is not only understood textually but can also be understood contextually so that what is conveyed can be made sense by reason.Keywords: maqashid syariah, environment, fatwa, ushul fiqih AbstrakDakwah Islam semestinya dipahami sebagai suatu aktivitas yang melibatkan proses transformasi yang memang tidak terjadi begitu saja, tapi membutuhkan kesadaran dari masyarakat untuk merubah situasi dan kondisi umat menuju kemaslahatan melalui pendidikan dan komunikasi yang berkelanjutan. Kajian dalam artikel ini menggunakan model penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik library research dan terfokus pada kajian dakwah Islam dengan pendekatan maqashid syariah. Pertanyaan yang ingin dijawab dalam studi ini adalah bagaimana dakwah mampu menjawab kebutuhan umat sehingga bisa membawa kemaslahatan. Dan sebagai konklusi pentingnya menempatkan maqashid syariah dalam setiap dakwah keislaman. Sehingga dakwah Islam tidak hanya dipahami secara tekstual saja namun dapat juga dipahami secara kontekstual, sehingga apa yang disampaikan dapat dinalar oleh akal.Kata kunci: maqashid syariah, lingkungan hidup, fatwa, ushul fiqih

Abstract

AbstractIslam is the way of life. And the Islamic education system is called a holistic approach to learning as it was in the early days of Islamic civilization. Islamic education, therefore, is considered and placed in a very noble position as it emphasizes the importance of the acquisition and dissemination of knowledge over other human activities. The background of this article sets out to assess the Challenges of Islamic Education in the 21st Century by bringing up some brief literature and analysis. In this article there are several topics related to the nature of Islamic education in Islamic education, the reality of Islamic education, Reform of Islamic education in the 21st century in the sectoral sector, curriculum, strengthening human resources, the Islamization of science by embodying Islamic values in science as part of education, the development and strengthening of Soft skills and management as well as entrepreneurial spirit is an inevitable need. But all of that will be able to work well and even become a force for the revival of the Islamic ummah if moral learning and gratitude for everything become the foundation for all reforms carried out in Islamic Education in the 21st Century and beyond.Keywords: Islamic Education, 21st Century, Challenge Abstrak Islam adalah cara hidup. Dan sistem pendidikan Islam disebut dengan pendekatan pembelajaran holistik seperti pada masa-masa awal peradaban Islam. Pendidikan Islam, oleh karena itu, dianggap dan ditempatkan pada posisi yang sangat mulia karena menekankan pentingnya perolehan dan penyebaran pengetahuan atas aktivitas manusia lainnya. Artikel ini dilatarbelakangi untuk mengkaji Tantangan Pendidikan Islam di Abad 21 dengan mengemukakan beberapa literatur dan analisis singkat. Pada artikel ini terdapat beberapa topik yang berkaitan dengan hakikat pendidikan Islam dalam pendidikan Islam, Realitas pendidikan Islam, Reformasi pendidikan Islam abad 21 pada sektor sektoral, kurikulum, penguatan sumber daya manusia, Islamisasi ilmu pengetahuan dengan mewujudkan Islam. nilai-nilai dalam ilmu pengetahuan sebagai bagian dari pendidikan, pengembangan dan penguatan Soft skill dan manajemen serta jiwa kewirausahaan merupakan kebutuhan yang tak terelakkan. Abstract

This paper discusses woman’s authority in social media, presenting how female scholars appear in social media and convey messages of Islamic teachings. This qualitative study finds that the concept of Maqāṣid sharīʿah was used by them in outlining their da’wah messages. The implication of using this approach leads them to explain religious messages textually and contextually. In practice, they take advantage of the opinions of previous Muslim scholars to support the messages they spread. The presence of women ulama who interact actively through online platforms provides opportunities for Muslim women to choose different information about Islamic teaching in a proportional and personal.

Abstract

This article discusses rain handlers whose activities are believed to be able to move or stop the rain. The activity of the rain handler has become a tradition that until now is needed not only for activities related to culture but general activities in modern society. By using a qualitative method that uses documents, research results, and observations as data sources which are then analyzed according to social phenomena, it produces an understanding that the rain handler is under a dialectic of magic, religion, and science. This article also mentions the opinions of scholars who are pro and contra regarding this activity. The conclusion is that the law of using the services of a rain handler is not allowed in Islam but it is different from asking a pious or pious person to pray so that it does not rain.

Abstract

This article discuss woman and feminism as one single aspect but have different in understanding. It firstly discuss about woman in Islam. It followed by Islamic feminist and and Islamic Feminist understanding. It then explores some Islamic traditions and values that quested by feminist such as: issue of Modesty (dress code) and social Interaction; movement and travel; female genital circumcision; prayer segregation; traditional jurisprudence; witness of woman; property rights; polygamy; interfaith marriage; husbands are a degree above their wives; a wife may remarry her ex-husband if and only if she marries another man, they have sex, and this second man divorces her; domestic violence; and woman to work, and in this discussion some Islamic perspectives tried to be given to answer those particular issues. And finally it tries to acknowledge the fact of feminism in Indonesia as a muslim country. Artikel ini membahas perempuan dan feminisme sebagai satu aspek tunggal tetapi memiliki sudut pandang yang berbeda. Artikel ini dimulai dengan membahas tentang wanita dalam Islam. Dilanjutkan dengan pembahasan tentang feminis Islam dan dan pemahaman Feminis Islam. Kemudian beberapa tradisi dan nilai-nilai Islam yang dipertanyakan oleh feminis seperti: masalah kesederhanaan (aturan berpakaian) dan Interaksi sosial; pergerakan dan perjalanan; sunat kelamin perempuan; sholat berjamaah; saksi wanita; hak milik; poligami; perkawinan beda agama; suami lebih tinggi kedudukannya dari istri mereka; seorang istri dapat menikah lagi dengan mantan suaminya jika dan hanya jika dia menikahi pria lain, mereka berhubungan seks, dan pria kedua ini menceraikannya; kekerasan dalam rumah tangga; dan wanita bekerja, dan beberapa perspektif Islam mencoba dihadirkan untuk menjawab isu-isu khusus tersebut. Dan terakhir, dalam artikel ini mencoba menghadirkan fakta feminisme di Indonesia sebagai negara muslim.

Abstract

Hermeneutika sebagai metodologi yang diprakarsai sebagai alternative metode penafsiran Al-Qurán telah ditawarkan oleh Ilmuwan Barat dan Ilmuwan Muslim Moderat dan Liberal. Hanya saja hal ini menjadi perdebatan dalam internal kalangan ummat Islam dikarenakan hermenuetika berbeda dengan Tafsir maupun Ta’wil yang merupakan ilmu yang sudah disepakati dalam metodologi memehami Al-Qurán dan dengan hermenuetika semua hasil tafsir dan ta’wil yang dilakukan oleh ulama itu hanyalah penafsiran, dan karenanya bergantung pada subyektivitas orangnya. Ada 3 aliran utama dalam tubuh ummat ketika menyikapi metode hermeneutika untuk tafsir Al-Qurán. Yaitu: menerima, menolak sepenuhnya, dan menerima sebagian dengan beberapa alasan. Produk yang dihasilkan dari hermeneutika mengarah kepada suatu paham relativisme yang menganggap tidak adanya tafsir yang tetap. Dan akhirnya membuat konklusi general bahwa semua tafsir dianggap produk akal manusia yang relatif, kontekstual, temporal, dan personal. Akibat yang ditampilkan oleh metode ini pun tidak sesederhana yang diperkirakan namun berdampak tidak hanya pada hukum syariat Islam dan juga kepada factor ideology, sosial, psikologi, dan budaya Ummat Islam.

Abstract

This study come to high light the normal personality in Islam in regarding to human nature and behaviors. human in the perception of Islam is composed of the body and spirit, and behavior. Is the outcome of the interaction of these two components, to understand that interaction and those relationships must be aware of the first part of the human, and the other part of God. Human behavior mostly belongs to two different systems, starting to work and influence since the creation of the fetus in the mother's womb, this creation has two aspects, one body and the other breathed the soul. The Islamic point of view in interpreting human behavior on several levels, each level is suitable for understanding a specific knowledge source and a specific research methodology: There is a reflexive level of behavior and could be understood by way of behavior theory. And there is a physiological level and is understood by the physiological path., and there is a social level and is understood by sociology and anthropology, and there is spiritual level and is understood by divine science (revelation). Studi ini menyoroti kepribadian normal dalam Islam dan kaitannya dengan sifat dan perilaku manusia. Manusia dalam persepsi Islam terdiri atas badan, roh, dan tingkah laku. Apakah interaksi dan hubungan komponen-komponen tersebut harus menyadari bagian pertama dari manusia, dan bagian lain dari Tuhan. Tingkah laku manusia sebagian besar termasuk dalam dua sistem yang berbeda, mulai dari bekerja dan terpengaruh sejak lahirnya janin dari kandungan ibu, ciptaan ini memiliki dua aspek, satunya adalah jasad dan satunya lagi adalah bernafas. Sudut pandang Islam dalam memaknai tingkah laku manusia terdiri dari beberapa tingkatan, masing-masing tingkatan cukup untuk memahami sumber pengetahuan tertentu dan metodologi penelitian tertentu: Ada tingkah laku yang bersifat refleksif dan dapat dipahami melalui teori tingkah laku. Dan ada tingkat fisiologis dan dipahami oleh jalur fisiologis., Dan ada tingkat sosial dan dipahami oleh ilmu sosiologi dan ilmu antropologi, dan ada tingkat spiritual dan dipahami oleh ilmu ketuhanan (wahyu).

Abstract

This article discusses the concept of politics in Islam and its relation to dakwah. Whether politics and Islam are contradictory or whether politics itself is from Islam and needed in a series of dakwah. The method used in this study is the Method of Literature Study and analysis of scientific references related to relationship between politics and dakwah in the Qurán and the Sunnah’s perspective. There are several verses and hadiths that are displayed in this study to understand the context. The result shows that politics is a crucial thing for a Muslim, and it is wrong if someone thinks that Islam does not have to be political justice for the entire Indonesian nation.
