Jurnal Terobosan Peduli Masyarakat (TIRAKAT) is an academic platform that focuses on Community Service with a multidisciplinary approach. Abstract

This study aims to examine strategies for community empowerment through social entrepreneurship in supporting sustainable economic development. Using a literature review approach and descriptive analysis, the research explores relevant literature published between 2017 and 2024. Data were collected from 30 articles on Google Scholar, which were then filtered to 18 articles meeting quality and relevance criteria. The findings indicate that social entrepreneurship positively impacts community empowerment by creating sustainable economic and social opportunities. Case studies analyzed, such as Nglanggeran Tourism Village, Sababay Winery, and Difalink, highlight that cross-sector collaboration, technology adoption, and data-driven management are key success factors. However, challenges such as limited access to capital, infrastructure, and technology hinder the implementation of social entrepreneurship. Therefore, collaboration between government, private sector, and communities is essential to overcome these barriers and enhance the effectiveness of community empowerment through social entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Waste banks are an innovative solution for integrating social and business activities to improve community income while addressing environmental issues. This study is a literature review using a qualitative approach aimed at contributing to the community service literature. Data were sourced from Google Scholar covering the period from 2014 to 2024. From 25 articles found, 15 articles were selected based on strict relevance and quality criteria. Descriptive analysis shows that waste banks can improve community income through the management of economically valuable waste while promoting environmental awareness and community empowerment. Case studies such as the Malang Waste Bank, Gemah Ripah Waste Bank in Bantul, and Srikandi Waste Bank in Madiun show positive impacts on both social and economic aspects, including women's empowerment and job creation. However, the success of waste banks is heavily influenced by community participation, innovation, and ongoing policy support. This study recommends strengthening technology, strategic partnerships, and government incentives as steps to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of waste banks in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to explore strategies for developing MSMEs based on the creative economy to enhance the welfare of local communities. Using a literature review and qualitative approach, the research analyzed 15 scholarly articles retrieved from Google Scholar during the 2016–2024 period. The findings indicate that strategies such as product innovation, digitalization, cross-sector collaboration, and accessible financing significantly impact the competitiveness and sustainability of MSMEs. Case studies from various regions in Indonesia, such as NTT’s woven crafts, Penglipuran Village in Bali, and Yogyakarta's batik industry, provide evidence that creative economy-based approaches not only increase community income but also preserve local cultural values. This research offers practical insights for MSME actors, policymakers, and local communities to strengthen the contribution of MSMEs to sustainable economic and social development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine strategies for optimizing the role of universities in empowering early childhood education (ECE) in remote areas through a literature review using a qualitative approach. Descriptive analysis was employed to synthesize data from 20 scholarly articles, rigorously selected from an initial pool of 40 articles retrieved via Google Scholar for the period 2016–2024. The findings reveal that universities play a strategic role in improving the quality of ECE through teacher training, development of curricula rooted in local wisdom, utilization of information technology, and collaboration with various stakeholders. Case studies from universities in Indonesia, such as Universitas Gadjah Mada and Universitas Terbuka, illustrate the success of ECE empowerment programs in remote areas. This research concludes that research-based approaches, technological innovation, and multisector partnerships can provide effective solutions to address educational challenges in remote areas. Recommendations are made for universities and governments to strengthen collaboration in developing sustainable and locally relevant ECE programs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the promotional strategies employed by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) via social media to boost sales during the New Year period and their implications for community welfare. Using a qualitative literature review approach, data were gathered from 20 selected scientific articles published between 2014 and 2024 on Google Scholar. Descriptive analysis was used to identify trends, strategies, and the impact of digital promotion on MSMEs. The findings reveal that social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and WhatsApp are effective tools for reaching a broad consumer base at a low cost. Creative promotional strategies aligned with New Year themes were shown to increase MSME sales by 50%–70% in several cases, while also generating additional employment opportunities. Besides economic benefits, social media promotions also positively impact the well-being of local communities. This study provides practical insights for MSMEs to design effective digital marketing strategies and supports governmental efforts to enhance the digital literacy of MSMEs to ensure business sustainability.
