Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the mathematical conceptual understanding of seventh-grade students on the topic of plane figures at UPTD SMPN 7 Pematang Siantar. The research employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a One-Group Posttest Design, involving a single class of 32 students who received instruction through the PBL model. The students’ conceptual understanding was then measured using tests and questionnaires. The research instruments included a questionnaire, test, and lesson plans (RPP).The data analysis showed that the PBL model had a positive and significant effect on students’ mathematical conceptual understanding. The simple linear regression analysis produced the equation Y = -30.663 + 1.593X, indicating that for every one-unit increase in students’ perception of PBL, their conceptual understanding score increased by 1.593 points. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.988, meaning that 98.8% of the variance in conceptual understanding was explained by students’ perceptions of PBL implementation, while the remaining 1.2% was influenced by other factors. The t-test results showed that the calculated t-value (48.912) was much greater than the critical t-value (2.042), with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted.In conclusion, the PBL model is effective in improving students’ mathematical conceptual understanding, particularly in topics requiring strong conceptual grasp such as plane figures. The implementation of this model is highly recommended in junior high school mathematics instruction to create an active, contextual, and student-centered learning environment.

Abstract

Youth plays a strategic role as agents of change in nation-building, including in efforts to eradicate corruption. This article analyzes the role of the Coalition of Society Concerned with Anti-Corruption (KOMPAK) in increasing anti-corruption awareness among young people. Through educational, empowerment, and capacity-building approaches, KOMPAK actively organizes seminars, workshops, social campaigns, and political education programs for youth in Lampung Province. This study uses observation and interview methods to explore KOMPAK’s programs and their impact on developing anti-corruption character among the younger generation. The analysis reveals that KOMPAK serves not only as a platform for raising awareness but also as a driving force for social change by instilling values of integrity, responsibility, and active participation. Therefore, KOMPAK's presence exemplifies the critical role of youth organizations in fostering a clean and accountable governance system.

Abstract

This research aims to discuss the professional ethics of judges, focusing on the application of the judges' code of ethics. Judges have a huge responsibility in carrying out their duties, because the judge's decision can have far-reaching consequences for the lives of judges or other people affected by the reach of their decisions. Thus, the profession of a judge cannot be separated from a set of values that must be owned and upheld by a judge, which is commonly referred to as ethics. The conclusion of this paper is to emphasize that the code of ethics is not only a moral guideline, but also a tool to answer legal issues in society.

Abstract

Yasir Fauji. 1991014087. 2023. Kalangkah Tradition in Sundanese Traditional Marriage from ‘Urf persepective (Case Study in Pananjung Village, Pangandaran District, Pangandaran District). This research is motivated by the existence of traditions in Sundanese traditional marriages which are still ongoing and believed by the community, precisely in Pananjung Village, Pangandaran District, Pangandaran Regency, namely about traditions.what a stepTradition what a stepor Surrenderknown as the prohibition for a younger sibling to marry before their older sibling. Some people believe that there will be bad impacts that will befall those who step over or those who are stepped over if they violate this tradition. However, there are also quite a few people who do not believe in the impact of breaking this tradition, because it is only considered a mere suggestion or myth, which was passed down from previous ancestors. This research is a type of qualitative field research. By using a sociological approach. The method used in data collection techniques is through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research concluded that the kaangkat tradition prohibits a younger brother or sister from marrying before their older sibling. Some people in Pananjung Village believe that the consequences of breaking this tradition include disharmonious households, older siblings who are stepped on, having difficulty finding a mate and so on. According to the opinion of community leaders in Pananjung Village, the impact of breaking this tradition is only a suggestion, because everything has become Qada and Qadar of Allah SWT. In the application of Islamic law, the prohibition on customary marriage is not a problem as long as it does not conflict with religious and state regulations. As contained in the 'Urf theory, customs can become law in the customary area. So that people can continue to preserve traditionswhat a stepwithout contradicting Islamic law.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the influence of the Card Sort learning model on the understanding of the photosynthesis process in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects in class IV students at SD Negeri Balongbesuk, Jombang. The background to this research is based on students' difficulties in understanding the concept of photosynthesis due to the use of less interactive learning methods. The Card Sort learning model is expected to increase student involvement in the learning process by arranging and grouping information in the form of cards, so that they can understand concepts more systematically and have fun. This research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-test and post-test experimental design on one group of subjects.The research results showed that there was an increase in students' understanding after implementing the Card Sort learning model. This is indicated by the significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results, which were analyzed using statistical tests. The Card Sort model is proven to help students understand the concept of photosynthesis in more depth, because they can actively participate in learning and connect information more effectively. Apart from that, the interaction between students in this activity also contributes to increasing their understanding of the photosynthesis process material.Based on research findings, it is recommended that teachers apply the Card Sort learning model in science learning, especially in topics that require understanding of complex concepts such as photosynthesis. The application of this model can be used as an alternative strategy to improve student learning outcomes at the elementary school level. In addition, this research also provides recommendations for further research to explore the effectiveness of this method in various other subjects.

Abstract

There are many problems that occur in the subject of Pancasila and citizenship, especially in the material on the history of the birth of Pancasila, one of which is that learning is still centered on teachers and textbooks only. Students are accustomed to learning with the lecture method. This kind of learning model can create a classroom atmosphere that is not conducive and less active, indicated by the noisy classroom atmosphere, students are busy chatting when the teacher explains in front of the class, therefore causing low student learning outcomes.This study aims to determine the effect of quartet card media on student learning outcomes in the history of the birth of Pancasila for grade V at SD Negeri Sukosari. This study is a quantitative study with a Pre-Experimental Design type of research in the form of One-Group Pre-test-Post-test. The population is all fifth grade students at SD Negeri Sukosari. The sample taken in this study consisted of one class consisting of 20 students. The data collection method used in this study is the test question method. The test is a written test in the form of multiple choices.The results of this study can be concluded that: (1) The learning outcomes of students on the material about the history of the birth of Pancasila in grade V students of Sukosari Elementary School before using the quartet card media are generally categorized as moderate with an average value obtained of 64.40. (2) While after using the quartet card media, it is generally categorized as capable with an average value obtained of 83.60. (3) The influence of the quartet card media on the material on the history of the birth of Pancasila in grade V students of Sukosari Elementary School shows that there is a significant influence of 0.000. The significant value indicating 0.000 <0.05 so that H₀ is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a significant influence in the use of quartet card media on the learning outcomes of the material on the history of the birth of Pancasila in grade V students of Sukosari Elementary School.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effectiveness of the CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) learning model in improving students' learning outcomes. The CIRC model is a group-based learning approach that allows students to actively engage in discussions and be fully involved in the learning process with their peers. This approach not only creates variation in teaching methods but also helps students discover new learning strategies that can be applied during lessons. Through this structured approach, students are given the opportunity to develop their understanding through hands-on group experiences, group discussions, listening to explanations, and engaging in critical thinking activities. The literature review method was used in this study to explore the effectiveness and application of the CIRC model. The findings indicate that the implementation of this model significantly improves students' understanding and engagement, while also strengthening their comprehension of the concepts being learned. Additionally, this model plays an important role in sharpening critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills, which are essential competencies for students' development in the modern era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of budget participation on Budgetary Slack, to examine the moderating effect of budget emphasis on budget participation and Budgetary Slack, to examine the moderating effect of information asymmetry on budget participation and Budgetary Slack. This type of research is quantitative. The population in this study is the Regional Development Planning Agency, Research and Development of West Kotawaringin Regency. The sample in this study was all employees involved in the budget preparation process at the Regional Development Planning Agency, Research and Development of West Kotawaringin Regency, totaling 39 respondents. The research data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results showed that budget participation had a positive and significant effect on budgetary slack. Budget participation and information asymmetry did not individually affect budgetary slack, and information asymmetry was not a moderating variable. Budget participation and information asymmetry individually affected budget emphasis, and budget emphasis was a moderating variable.

Abstract

A notary is a public official who is trusted by the public to make authentic deeds. In carrying out his duties as a notary legal profession, a notary must uphold legal ethics, dignity, and the nobility of his position. If this is ignored, it can cause losses to the parties and the notary himself. The notary code of ethics includes, notary personality ethics, ethics in carrying out duties and positions, service ethics, ethics among colleagues and the duties and authorities of the supervisory institution in the notary. The code of ethics contains important elements regarding obligations, prohibitions, exceptions and sanctions that will be imposed on notaries who violate the code of ethics. The purpose of the notary code of ethics is to maintain the honor and nobility of the notary profession. This study explores compliance with the notary code of ethics as a foundation of professionalism to increase public trust.

Abstract

One of the problems in learning in schools is the low learning outcomes of students. This can be seen from the initial data of students' daily scores which are still below the KKM. The human circulatory system requires an appropriate model because of the abstract and complex nature of the material. Therefore, the application of the problem based learning model assisted by teaching aids is very much needed. This study aims to determine the Effect of the PBL Model Assisted by Teaching Aids on Learning Outcomes of the Human Circulatory System Material. Quantitative research method with Quasi Experimental Design research type, Sampling technique using Purposive Sampling obtained the sample population, namely students of class XI MIPA 2 as the experimental class and XI MIPA 3 as the control class. Data collection techniques in the form of (1) observation (2) documentation (3) tests in the form of pretest-posttest. Data analysis techniques using the normality test with Shapiro Wilk, and the Mann Whitney U-Test test. The results of the study showed that there was a significant influence of the PBL model assisted by teaching aids on learning outcomes of the human circulatory system material, namely based on the results of the Mann Whitney U-Test on the posttest results obtained a Sig. value. two tail of 0.000 < 0.05.
