Abstract

The transformation of education in the Society 5.0 era requires Islamic educational institutions to not only be adaptive to technological advancements but also capable of developing sustainable quality assurance systems. Although Total Quality Management (TQM) has been widely adopted in educational management, its integration into the practice of Islamic education supervision has not yet been formulated comprehensively. This study aims to analyze the integration of TQM into Islamic education supervision through the lens of Society 5.0 and to develop a relevant integrative conceptual model addressing the challenges of digital transformation. This research employs a library research method with a systematic literature review approach. Data sources were obtained from academic books and scientific articles relevant to TQM, educational supervision, Islamic education, and Society 5.0. The data were analyzed through processes of reduction, categorization, and conceptual synthesis to identify patterns, trends, and gaps in previous studies. The results indicate that: (1) the implementation of TQM in Islamic education is still dominated by general managerial aspects and has not been systematically integrated into learning supervision; (2) Islamic education supervision is undergoing a transformation toward a collaborative, reflective, and data-driven model aligned with the principles of continuous improvement; and (3) there is a need for an integrative model that combines the TQM paradigm, reflective supervision, and human-centered digital transformation within the framework of Society 5.0. This study contributes to the development of a conceptual model for quality management in Islamic education that is adaptive, systemic, and oriented toward the continuous improvement of learning quality.Ā

Abstract

This article analyzes the transformation of Islamic religious authority in the digital era by examining the shift from a sanad-based epistemological structure to legitimacy mediated by digital platform algorithms. In classical Islamic scholarship, sanad functions as a mechanism of transmission, verification, and legitimation that ensures the continuity of religious knowledge and scholarly authority. However, the rise of digital media has reshaped the production and circulation of religious knowledge, where visibility, user engagement, and algorithmic recommendation systems increasingly determine who gains influence within the contemporary religious public sphere. This study aims to explain how these transformations affect the construction of religious authority and how Islamic epistemological traditions negotiate with emerging digital technological structures, this research employs a qualitative approach using a literature-based method that engages recent scholarship on religious authority, digital religion studies, and theories of the mediatization of religion. The analysis is conducted through a conceptual-critical framework that integrates Islamic epistemology with contemporary media theory. The findings suggest that the ongoing transformation should not be understood as a complete replacement of sanad-based authority by algorithmic systems. Rather, it reflects a process of hybridization between normative-transmissive legitimacy and performative-distributive legitimacy. The article proposes the concept of algorithmic authority as an analytical framework to understand how contemporary religious legitimacy is increasingly shaped through the interaction between traditional chains of scholarly transmission and the infrastructural logic of digital platforms. The main contribution of this study lies in developing a conceptual bridge between classical Islamic epistemology and the dynamics of authority in the digital public sphere, offering a new perspective for the study of digital Islam in contemporary Muslim societies.

Abstract

This study aims to reformulate the theory of Jurisprudence of Muamalah so that it becomes relevant to the macroeconomic policies of the modern state, which have largely been dominated by conventional economic paradigms based on interest. Departing from the gap between the normative principles of muamalah such as the prohibition of riba (usury), distributive justice, transparency, and an orientation toward magasid al-shari'ah and modern fiscal and monetary instruments, this study examines the possibility of integrating Sharia values within the framework of public policy. The research employs a qualitative approach based on library research, using content analysis and critical synthesis of classical fiqh literature, Islamic economics, and contemporary macroeconomic studies. The findings indicate that Jurisprudence of Muamalah possesses conceptual potential as an ethical foundation for macroeconomic policy through the strengthening of redistributive instruments (such as zakat and waqf), the development of risk-sharing schemes within monetary policy, and the integration of social justice values into fiscal policy design. However, several methodological and structural challenges remain, particularly the dominance of the global interest-based financial system and the technocratic complexity of modern macroeconomic policymaking. The proposed reformulation positions Jurisprudence of Muamalah not merely as a set of private legal norms but as a normative–operational paradigm for building a just and sustainable economic system. This study contributes to the development of Sharia economic legal theory by presenting an integrative framework that connects the values of magasid al-shari'ah with the stability of modern macroeconomic systems.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fundamental obstacles faced by mild intellectually disabled students in mastering prayer practices due to deficits in working memory and sequential thinking skills. The main problems include dependence on verbal instructions and low memory retention of movement sequences. This study aims to analyze the implementation of visual scaffolding media as a cognitive scaffold at SLB Mutiara Bunda Cirebon. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the use of permanent visual cues was able to reduce students' cognitive load and minimize prompt dependency. Through the fading strategy, students showed an increase in independence and order of movement sequences (tumakninah). The integration of this media is proven effective in bridging the transition from full guidance to worship independence

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has given rise to a wave of disruption that penetrates all aspects of life, including Islamic education. This wave often brings negative impacts in the form of dehumanization and spiritual crises, where humans are positioned as objects of technology. This article aims to analyze the urgency of reorienting Islamic education based on the philosophy of technology as a fundamental effort to reaffirm the role of humans and spirituality amid the digital onslaught. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data were collected from various primary sources, such as classical Islamic philosophical texts and contemporary philosophy of technology literature, as well as secondary sources in the form of accredited national journals. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive-analytical and interpretative methods. The results of this study indicate that the philosophy of technology provides a critical analytical tool to view technology not merely as a neutral instrument, but rather as a structure that can shape human consciousness and values. Based on this view, the reorientation of Islamic education should be directed at three main aspects: 1) reconstruction of the education paradigm, from the adoption of technology to the wisdom of technology; 2) transformation of the curriculum that integrates digital literacy with the strengthening of spiritual values (monotheism and morality); and 3) revitalization of the role of educators as spiritual guides and digital companions. In conclusion, the reorientation of Islamic education based on the philosophy of technology becomes an inevitability to ensure that digital technology becomes a medium of humanization, not a tool of dehumanization

Abstract

The development of the Islamic Education Management curriculum often faces a fundamental problem in the form of a weak philosophical foundation that causes the curriculum to be less directed and does not fully reflect Islamic values. This study aims to explain the benefits of philosophy for curriculum development by examining the role of onology, epistemology, and axiology in providing direction, basis, and value orientation for the educational process. The method used is a literature study through literature analysis that discusses the relationship between Islamic philosophy and curriculum design. The results of the study show that ontology helps establish human nature as the basis of educational goals, epistemology strengthens the selection of sources and the truth of knowledge included in the curriculum, while axiology ensures that the entire educational process is oriented towards the formation of character and moral values. These three aspects make a significant contribution to the preparation of objectives, material selection, learning methods, evaluation, and curriculum adaptation to the development of science and technology. This study concludes that philosophy has a strategic role in building a curriculum that is holistic, integrative, and in line with Islamic values so that it is able to produce graduates who are competent, characterful, and morally responsible.
