About the Journal Indonesian Health Literacy Journal (IHLJ) is a journal that publishes original and applied products of the scientific studies, researches, analyses, and community services conducted towards the purpose of protecting and developing the health of individuals and community to improving the quality of life for audiences of scientist, researcher, educator, practitioner, and students throughout the world. Indonesian Health Literacy Journal (IHLJ) aims to bring together the parties working on the fields of health protection/development and healthy life on a joint platform. Health literacy means individuals achieving the necessary knowledge, skill, and self-confidence level for changing their lifestyle and conditions towards improving self-health and social health. It is also closely linked to understanding challenging health conditions and issues. Due to the healthcare services perceived sometimes as complex and confusing, many people have a hard time getting information about health and healthcare options. This journal provides health literacy in research and community service become easy-accessible. Indonesian Health Literacy Journal (IHLJ) covers a wide range of health subjects, such as community health, nursing & midwifery, psychology, and pharmacy. This journal is an open-access and peer-reviewed journal, published four times a year by Suluh Adiluhung Publisher (SAPub), Indonesia. Scientific projections of future point out to the need for strengthening the cooperation platforms on the field of health literacy. Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan kondisi dimana terjadi penungkatan tekanan darah dengan tekanand darah sistol ≥140 mmHg dan tekanan diastole ≥90 mmHg. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi pengetahuan pencegahan Hipertensi pada lanjut usia di GBI Sabahat Kota Kediri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif menggunakan lembar survey. Jumlah warga usia lanjut di GBI Sahabat Kediri sebanyak 20 orang dilakukan survey menggunakan kuesioner dan kemudian diberikan edukasi Kesehatan berupa booklet.  Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa  warga usia lanjut setelah dilakukan edukasi Kesehatan dengan menggunakan Booklet didapatkan pengetahuan kurang tentang pencegahan sebanyak 2 orang (20%) dan pengetahuan pencegahan Hipertensi baik sebanyak  sebanyak 18 orang (80%). Berdasarkan hasil  penelitian edukasi warga usia lanjut diperlukan untuk terus diberikan agar perilaku pencegahan Hipertensi meningkat sehingga risiko gangguan Kesehatan dapat diturunkan.

Abstract

PAUD is an early childhood education that is not attractive to all parents because it is considered a burden and takes up the time of parents. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of early childhood education on child development at TK Pembina Pagu Kediri Regency. The design of this research is correlational analytic research with cross sectional approach. The population were all children aged 4-5 years of kindergarten class A at TK Pembina Kediri Regency 37 children, using Purposive Sampling technique obtained a sample of 34 respondents. The independent variables studied were PAUD Participation and PAUD Inclusion, while the dependent variable was Child Development. The instrument used was observation. The results were analyzed using the Chi square test (α = 0.05). The results showed that the majority of respondents had developments in the normal category, namely as many as 11 respondents (78.6%) and almost half the respondents had developments in the dubious category, namely as many as 11 respondents (32.4%). Based on data analysis using the Chi square test showed p-value = 0.037 <α = 0.05 then H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, which means there is an influence of early childhood education on child development at TK Pembina Pagu Kediri Regency. The importance of the role of parents to give decisions to children to attend PAUD programs so that children can develop social intelligence.
