About the Journal Indonesian Health Literacy Journal (IHLJ) is a journal that publishes original and applied products of the scientific studies, researches, analyses, and community services conducted towards the purpose of protecting and developing the health of individuals and community to improving the quality of life for audiences of scientist, researcher, educator, practitioner, and students throughout the world. Indonesian Health Literacy Journal (IHLJ) aims to bring together the parties working on the fields of health protection/development and healthy life on a joint platform. Health literacy means individuals achieving the necessary knowledge, skill, and self-confidence level for changing their lifestyle and conditions towards improving self-health and social health. It is also closely linked to understanding challenging health conditions and issues. Due to the healthcare services perceived sometimes as complex and confusing, many people have a hard time getting information about health and healthcare options. This journal provides health literacy in research and community service become easy-accessible. Indonesian Health Literacy Journal (IHLJ) covers a wide range of health subjects, such as community health, nursing & midwifery, psychology, and pharmacy. This journal is an open-access and peer-reviewed journal, published four times a year by Suluh Adiluhung Publisher (SAPub), Indonesia. Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan kondisi dimana terjadi penungkatan tekanan darah dengan tekanand darah sistol ≥140 mmHg dan tekanan diastole ≥90 mmHg. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi pengetahuan pencegahan Hipertensi pada lanjut usia di GBI Sabahat Kota Kediri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif menggunakan lembar survey. Jumlah warga usia lanjut di GBI Sahabat Kediri sebanyak 20 orang dilakukan survey menggunakan kuesioner dan kemudian diberikan edukasi Kesehatan berupa booklet.  Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa  warga usia lanjut setelah dilakukan edukasi Kesehatan dengan menggunakan Booklet didapatkan pengetahuan kurang tentang pencegahan sebanyak 2 orang (20%) dan pengetahuan pencegahan Hipertensi baik sebanyak  sebanyak 18 orang (80%). Berdasarkan hasil  penelitian edukasi warga usia lanjut diperlukan untuk terus diberikan agar perilaku pencegahan Hipertensi meningkat sehingga risiko gangguan Kesehatan dapat diturunkan.

Abstract

PAUD is an early childhood education that is not attractive to all parents because it is considered a burden and takes up the time of parents. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of early childhood education on child development at TK Pembina Pagu Kediri Regency. The design of this research is correlational analytic research with cross sectional approach. The population were all children aged 4-5 years of kindergarten class A at TK Pembina Kediri Regency 37 children, using Purposive Sampling technique obtained a sample of 34 respondents. The independent variables studied were PAUD Participation and PAUD Inclusion, while the dependent variable was Child Development. The instrument used was observation. The results were analyzed using the Chi square test (α = 0.05). The results showed that the majority of respondents had developments in the normal category, namely as many as 11 respondents (78.6%) and almost half the respondents had developments in the dubious category, namely as many as 11 respondents (32.4%). Based on data analysis using the Chi square test showed p-value = 0.037 <α = 0.05 then H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, which means there is an influence of early childhood education on child development at TK Pembina Pagu Kediri Regency. The importance of the role of parents to give decisions to children to attend PAUD programs so that children can develop social intelligence.

Abstract

Mental disorders with violent behavior are serious issues requiring comprehensive and continuous management at the community level. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of mental health cadres and companions at the Balowerti Mental Health Post (Posyandu Jiwa) in managing patients with violent behavior. The method was implemented through health education using lectures, interactive discussions, and simulations of handling violent behavior in mental disorder patients. The results showed increased participants’ understanding of signs of violent behavior, preventive measures, and appropriate referral procedures. Participants also demonstrated improved empathy and therapeutic communication skills. This activity proved effective in strengthening the capacity of cadres and companions to support individuals with mental disorders in the community.

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases such as hypertension and diabetes mellitus remain major public health problems. This activity aims to detect the risk of non-communicable diseases early by checking blood pressure and blood sugar levels in health cadres in the work area of the Kediri City Community Health Center. The method used was direct blood pressure and blood sugar examination using a descriptive approach. The activity was conducted in September 2025 and was attended by 40 health cadres. The results of the activity showed that all cadres had blood pressure and blood sugar in the normal category. This activity increased cadres’ awareness of the importance of regular health checks as a preventive effort against non-communicable diseases.

Abstract

Empowering SDMK is crucial, as it maximizes the use of technology. SDMK with adequate skills and knowledge can effectively operate health data applications, enabling optimal utilization of all features and functions. This ensures data accuracy and sustainability, with SDMK responsible for accurately entering, verifying, and maintaining data. Therefore, the System Requirement System for designing a web-based data warehouse is intended to provide an overview of the application design that will be developed to support decision-making or policies related to handling stunting in the Population Control, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service (DP2KB3A) of Kediri Regency. The focus of the Stunting Data Management Information System is the governance of the implementation of recording and reporting of stunting data in Kediri Regency, designing an information system that manages administrative data and health examination results so that optimal data recording can be presented in public health services in Kediri Regency. Empowerment of Human Resources and Family Planning (SDMK) in the Implementation of Stunting Data Warehouse Modeling Application in Kediri Regency with the hope that stunting cases in Kediri Regency can be resolved or reduced as well as a more integrated, fast, and accurate reporting system by utilizing digital technology.

Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a type of diabetes characterized by high blood sugar (glucose) levels due to persistent disturbances in carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism, which can lead to complications if not managed properly. This metabolic disorder is not only related to physiological factors but is also influenced by psychological factors.. The purpose of this study was to determine the Relationship Between Anxiety and Emotional Regulation With Blood Glucose Level Stability in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Posyandu Elderly Pagu Kediri Regency. The design of this research is correlational analytic research with cross sectional approach. Population were Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patiens Posyandu Elderly Pagu Kediri Regency, using Purposive Sampling technique obtained a sample of 38 respondents. The independent variables studied were  Anxiety and Regulation Emotion Level, while the dependent variable were Blood Glucose Level Stability in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patiens. The instrument used was observation. The results were analyzed using the Chi square test (α = 0.05) The results showed that Anxiety level based on the frequency distribution of respondents, almost all of whom had moderate anxiety, namely 18 respondents (47,4%); almost all of whom had moderate regulation emotion level, namely 16 respondents (42,1%); and almost all of whom had high blood glucose level stability, namely 21 respondents (55,2%). Based on data then the results of the analysis using the Chi Square Test show that the p- value is less than α (0.05), because the p-value is <0.05. This shows p value = 0.028 ≤ α = 0.05, This shows p value = 0.017 ≤ α =0.05, so that Ha is accepted, and Ho is rejected. It can be concluded that the Relationship Between Anxiety and Regulation Emotion With Blood Glucose Level Stability in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Posyandu Elderly in Pagu Kediri Regency. The importance of the Several psychological interventions for glucose control, including emotional regulation therapy, have shown effectiveness in reducing HbA1c and diabetes-related distress, indicating that emotional management may be an important part of glycemic control in people with Type 2 DM.

Abstract

Luka bakar merupakan masalah kesehatan yang sering dialami pemuda remaja dan berpotensi menimbulkan dampak fisik serta psikososial apabila tidak ditangani secara tepat sejak fase awal. Pengetahuan yang adekuat mengenai pertolongan pertama luka bakar berperan penting dalam mencegah komplikasi dan mempercepat pemulihan. Metode penelitian dengan desain penelitian pre eksperimen menggunakan pendekatan one group pretest–posttest untuk menilai pengaruh literasi audiovisual terhadap pengetahuan penanganan pertama pada luka bakar. Populasi penelitian adalah pemuda remaja di GBI Rahayu Kota Kediri dengan jumlah sampel 23 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi edukasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Sebelum intervensi, sebagian besar responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan kategori cukup, sedangkan setelah diberikan edukasi berbasis audiovisual, mayoritas responden menunjukkan tingkat pengetahuan baik (91,3%). Hasil statistik menunjukkan bahwa nilai p-value sebesar 0,000 yang menandakan adanya perbedaan signifikan tingkat pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah edukasi. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa literasi audiovisual efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan penanganan pertama luka bakar dan direkomendasikan untuk diintegrasikan dalam program pembinaan pemuda remaja di komunitas sebagai upaya promotif dan preventif.

Abstract

Ketepatan penentuan kode diagnosis utama menjadi penentu dalam ketepatan pembuatan laporan morbiditas dan mortalitas serta ketepatan biaya klaim pelayanan kesehatan seorang pasien. Di RSUD “X”, dari hasil survei pendahuluan pada 20 dokumen rekam medis rawat inap pasien BPJS yang diambil secara acak terdapat 10% kode diagnosis utama yang tidak tepat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif observasi dengan pendekatan retrospektif. Populasinya Adalah seluruh dokumen rekam medis rawat inap pasien BPJS pada triwulan IV tahun 2025 sebesar 6210 dokumen rekam medis dan didapatkan sampel sebesar 99 dokumen rekam medis. Persentase ketepatan penentuan kode diagnosis utama sebesar 89 dokumen (89,89%) lebih besar dari kode diagnosis utama yang tidak tepat sebesar 10 dokumen (10,11%). Salah dalam penentuan kondisi utama terdapat pada aturan ICD-10 tahun 2010 Bab 12 tentang Kode Fraktur, aturan penggunaan kode “Z” dan rules MB.1.

Abstract

Breakfast habits play an important role in supporting children’s cognitive functions, particularly learning concentration. However, a number of elementary school students still do not have the habit of eating breakfast before attending school. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between breakfast habits and learning concentration among elementary school students at SDN 1 Wonorejo, Tulungagung Regency. This study employed an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 39 students in grades IV, V, and VI who were selected using purposive sampling. Data on breakfast habits were collected using a structured questionnaire, while learning concentration was measured using the Grid Concentration Test (GCT). Data were analyzed using the Spearman rank correlation test. The results showed that most students had good breakfast habits (64%) and a moderate level of learning concentration (72%). Statistical analysis revealed a significant relationship between breakfast habits and learning concentration (p-value = 0.000; p < 0.05). These findings indicate that good breakfast habits are significantly associated with better learning concentration among elementary school students. Therefore, promoting regular breakfast consumption is essential to support optimal learning concentration in school-aged children.
