Abstract

AbstractBlue swimming crab is one of fishery commodity for export that still depend from captured, so it will affect population in wild. One of effort to prevent of crab exinction by hatchery advanced. Inhibition of blue swimming crab was survival rate that low, so it was needed case study about rearing technique of blue swimming crab fry. The aim of this case study was to know directly about rearing technique of blue swimming crab fry and problem that emerged in rearing of blue swimming crab fry. This case study was done at Brackish water Culture Development Center of Jepara, Jepara Regency and Central Java of Province on August 1-30, 2005. Work method which used in case study was descriptive by data collection consisted primary and secondary data. Collection data were done by active participation, interview, observation and study literature. Fry was produced from brood stock of egg maturation stage III which came from wild. Activities of rearing fry consisted preparing of rearing pond, stocking density, food feeding, monitoring of water qualities, pest and disease ocontrol and also harvesting. Water qualities measured were salinity 28-32 ppt and water temperature 29-32C. stocking densities were >100 inds/lt with survival rates were 1,3-3,8%. During rearing, fry was given natural feeds such as Chlorella vulgaris, Brachionus plicatilis, Artemia salina, commercial food merk Frippak and grinding shrimp. In this rearing was found red fungi and controlled by using Erythromycin 1ppm. Harvesting was done after fry 18-days age and was done stocking in nursery pond at Brackish water Culture Development Center of Jepara. Abstract

AbstractGracilaria is a species of red algae which has potentially to culture. Generally, the culture is done in ponds, but today some ponds are use for housing and the pond number are decreasing, and the other hand the water quality of ponds is contaminated by industrial wasted. To overcome these problems, the solution is doing culture in a controllable tanks, no large space is needed, it can do in house, no seasonal influences and the supporting factors like o onutrient, pH, light intensity, temperature (C), salinity (/ ) and water circulation are easily to control. The purpose of oo this research is to determine the effect of water replacement on growth and the total number of chlorophyl a on Gracilaria verrucosa. This research was held at June 19 th 2009 – July 22 th 2009 in Laboratorium Kering, Fakultas Perikanan dan Kelautan and as the comparison is Desa Pulukerto Kecamatan Kraton, Kabupaten Pasuruan, Jawa Timur. The growth measurement in Public Health Veteriner Departement Faculty of Medical Veterinary Airlangga University Surabaya. The chlorophyll a measurement was held in Patology Clinic Departement Faculty of Medical Veterinary Airlangga University Surabaya. This research use Fully Randomized Design method with 5 treatments : in treatment A there was no water replacement (0%), in treatment B the replacement was 25%, replacement in treatment C was 50%, treatment D was 75% and in treatment E, all the water taking out from the tank was 100% replaced by new water from the reservoir, replicated four times. The growth data (heavy and length), with Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and continueted with Duncan Multiple Range Test.

Abstract

AbstractAwur Bay waters is an area that has different water conditions, namely closed and open waters. Open water is an aquatic area facing the open sea without any barrier, island and the mainland either in front or in the form of open sea, so that open water is strongly influenced by waves and tides. Consequently in these waters, the waves interaction ,stream will cause turbulence. While the closed waters is impeded by inland waters or in the form of the bay therefore stream and wave power will reduce when it arrived at the beach. Macrobenthic animals are aquatic organisms that live in the bottom sediments, whether on top or in the bottom of sediments. Population is a group of individuals and the same species in a place and time, while indicating the presence of species diversity in ecosystems. The aims of the study is to analyze the difference effects of closed and open waters in the Awur bay Jepara, on the population and diversity of macrobenthic animals based on differences in the characteristics of the waters.

Abstract

AbstractThe failure of vannamei shrimp culture often caused by virus attack, i.e. WSSV, TSV and IMNV. So that it need an alternative method like closed circulation method and probiotic application. Closed circulation is culture method without water circulation where as an additional water will do to change loss water, caused by evaporation and culture waste water. This kinds of probiotic ar Bacillus subtilis, Nitrosomonas, Nitrobacter, Saccaromyces, Rhodobacter and Rhodococcus. The aim of these research are preventing virus attack through closed circulation method and probiotic 2 2application. These culture used two culture ponds (3000 m , density 60 species/m ) and two reservoir ponds 2(2000 m ) for 105 days. The first culture pond (A) produced 2895 kg of vannamei shrimp (size 60, SR 96.5 % and FCR 1.3). The second culture pond (B) produced 3025 kg of vannamei shrimp (size 58, SR 97.4 % and FCR 1.28).

Abstract

AbstractOne of them is the problem of disease Argulus sp. is ektoparasite which often attacked in activity of good conducting of sea water and also freshwater. Argulus sp. attacking at part of fin, husk, gill and entire all its body exterior of him. attacked by fish is Argulus sp. will seen is thin, often rub body and arise red pock which later can generate secondary infection. Utilize to prove the existence of bacterium which emerge effect of lession (secondary infection) which because of bite of Argulus sp. that is by identifying bacterium and biochemical test. Media which used in identifying bacterium for example that is TSA (Tryptic Soy Agar), TSIA (Triple Soy Iron Agar), MIO (Motility Indol Ornithin), O/F medium (Oksidative/Fermentative), sugar test medium (maltosa, laktosa, arabinosa, inositol, manitol, sukrosa). Target of this research is to know the existence of gram negative bacterium and gram negative bacterium any kind of which is found at fish hurt of gold fish (Carassius auratus) effect of infestation by ectoparasite Argulus sp. Research which is use descriptive method. That is with infestation of Argulus sp. into containing aquarium of gold fish counted 1 tail and Argulus sp. counted 5, 10, 15, 20 tail. After Argulus sp. patch all at gold fish is later then perceived until gold fish arise lession effect of bite of Argulus sp. is afterwards identifyed by bacterium to know the bacterium that were formed on gold fish lesions. The result showed that the lesions of gold fish, isolation at TSA medium and identified by biochemical test to diagnose bacteriums found on gold fish lession. Identifications of the three gram negative bacterium as follow : Aeromonas hydrophilla, Pseudomonas flourescens, Flexibacter columnaris while for the Edwardsiella tarda was not be found in this study
