Abstract

In 2022, the study population consisted of all mothers of children under the age of five who visited the stunting locus area for health screenings. This study's sample consisted of 120 participants: 60 cases and 60 controls. Total sampling was employed as the sampling method. Analysis of data using the chi-square and multiple logistic regression tests. According to the results of the bivariate analysis using the chi-square test, two variables were significantly associated with the prevalence of stunting: mother age (p = 0.012) and history of prenatal examination (p = 0.047). The results of the multivariate analysis with multiple logistic regression test revealed that there were 3 variables that influenced the incidence of stunting in children under the age of five, namely the maternal age variable with a p value of 0.001, the birth spacing variable with a p value of 0.018, and the history of pregnancy examination variables with a p value of 0.018, with the mother's age variable being the most influential variable with an odds ratio (OR) value of 1.02. Participating in the Nutrition Awareness Family program reduces the incidence of stunting among women who plan a pregnancy throughout adulthood (20-35 years) and set a safe birth spacing of more than 2 years between pregnancies. As well as consistently doing prenatal checks (> 4 times) and using the Nutrition Monitoring book as a source of information throughout early pregnancy, it is recommended to reduce the occurrence of stunting.

Abstract

As many as 67% of accident victims in 2011 were between the ages of 22 and 50, according to WHO data. There were around 400 thousand victims under the age of 25, with a death toll of 1000 children and teenagers every day on average throughout this time period. PT. Tapian Nadenggan Langga Payung was the focus of this study, which sought to identify the elements that contributed to the safety of oil palm transport trucks. Analytical research with a cross-sectional approach was the research design employed. There are 35 people in total, all of whom work as oil palm fruit truck drivers. In this case, total sampling was employed as the method of sampling. For the knowledge collected from the chi-square test findings, the p value (0.270) was found to be greater than the 0.05 threshold for p value (0.000) based on age and safe driving. Physical Fatigue, on the other hand, has a p value (0.000) 0.05 in the chi-square test. No one's age has any bearing on how safe they are on the road when driving. Driving oil palm transport trucks for PT. Tapian Nadenggan Langga Payung was made more dangerous by lack of experience and exhaustion. Companies should ask their employees, especially truck drivers, to participate in safety driving instruction before they get behind the wheel of a truck.

Abstract

Due to their inability to meet their own iron requirements, mothers who are pregnant with iron deficiency are placing their unborn children at risk for birth defects such as low fatal organ maturity and prematurity. Hypovolemic hemorrhage during labour in anemic conditions increases the chance of death. Pregnant women's knowledge of anemia and their adherence to Fe pills in the Public Health Centre, Langkat Regency were the primary goals of this study. Cross-sectional surveys were used in this type of research. All pregnant women in the working area of Public Health Centre, Langkat Regency, were surveyed in August, with a total of 68 people participating. For this investigation, the method of sampling was total sampling. Results of the Study Regarding 67% of those polled have inadequate information about anemia, and 41% of those polled don't take their medication as directed (60.3%).  Adherence to taking Fe pills is strongly influenced by a person's level of knowledge. The p-value is less than 0.05. Increasing pregnant women's knowledge of the importance of taking Fe pills is recommended in order to raise their degree of adherence to taking Fe tablets.

Abstract

The future quality of Human Resources (HR) can be improved by the provision of optimally nutritious breast milk (ASI), which boosts the child's immunity and cognitive abilities. Both mom and baby benefit greatly from a period of exclusive breastfeeding throughout the first six months. Women who breastfeed their infants exclusively are still in the minority (80%). There are a total of 673 infants registered at the Pekan Labuhan Health Centre, but only 57 of them are receiving exclusive breastfeeding, which is only a small fraction of the national goal. Predisposing factors, enabling factors, and reinforcing factors all contribute to whether or not a mother chooses to breastfeed exclusively. To determine what factors, affect exclusive breastfeeding in the 315-person catchment area of the Pekan Labuhan Health Centre, this study employs a cross-sectional, analytical survey approach. With the use of the Slovin formula, we were able to collect data from 76 individuals. Using a questionnaire to gather information. Multiple methods of data analysis, including univariate and multivariate were used. All significantly influenced her likelihood of breastfeeding exclusively. There was no difference made by education, upbringing, or social networks. With an Exp(B) value of 28,794, mother's employment status is the most significant influencer of whether or not a mother gives exclusive breastfeeding compared to mothers who do work. health workers' access to training, employment, positive attitudes, and social support. It is suggested that the District Government implement more frequent counselling and organize a support group for moms to help them maintain exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

Effective communication is communication that can lead to a shift in the attitudes of the parties concerned. Patient discontent with healthcare services will occur if communication is ineffective. A powerful rule of communication is the Reach aspect, which stands for Respect, Empathy, Audible, Clarity, and Humbleness. This study aims to analyse the factors of effective communication on outpatient satisfaction at Cut Meutia Hospital, North Aceh Regency, Aceh Province. This study was a quantitative with an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach with a sample of 100 respondents who were outpatients at Cut Meutia Hospital. Data analysis used chi-square test and multiple logistic regression test. Of the 100 respondents, the results of the univariate analysis showed that on the Respect, Empathy, Audible, Clarity, and Humble dimensions, more respondents gave a Bad rating. Bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between the dimensions Respect (0.009 < 0.05), Empathy (0.003<0.05), Audible (0.000<0.05), Clarity (0.001<0.05), and Humble (0.000<0.005) with Patient Satisfaction. In multivariate analysis it was found that the variables Respect (p=0.006, OR=17.159), Empathy (p=0.008, OR=11.401), Audible (p=0.004, OR=11.500), Clarity (p=0.001, OR=6.355), Humble (p = 0.002, OR = 2,991), and the Respect factor was the most dominant which correlated with Patient Satisfaction (OR = 17,159). REACH has an impact on how well outpatients are treated, with the Respect variable at Cut Meutia Hospital in North Aceh Regency, Aceh Province, being the most important component. In order to offer patients with satisfaction, it is expected of all officers to be able to develop excellent communication skills.

Abstract

Nurses have a high risk of exposure to disease thus occupational safety and health must be prioritized. Many nurses continue to disregard the usage of personal protective equipment. The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics that influence nurse compliance with the usage of personal protective equipment. This was a cross-sectional survey done at Langsa City Regional Hospital. The total population of nurses was 472 persons, and the sample size was 100. Data was analysed using univariate and bivariate analysis, as well as the chi-square test and multiple logistic regression at a 95% confidence level (a=0.05). The findings revealed that attitudes (p=0.001), PPE availability (p=0.001), skills (p=0.008), and supervision (p=0.004) impacted nurses' compliance with the usage of PPE at the hospital. Knowledge (p=0,226) and information (p=0,239) were variables that had no effect. The variable that has the greatest influence on nurses' adherence to the usage of PPE is the changeable availability of PPE. Nurses reported that if complete personal protective equipment was available, the likelihood of being obedient to wear PPE was six times greater than responders who stated that PPE was only partially available. The conclusion shows that nurses' compliance with the use of PPE is affected by the availability of PPE, attitudes, supervision, and skills. It is suggested to the management of Langsa City Regional Hospital to provide more complete personal protective equipment as needed in every action and further improves supervision of nurses in complying using personal protective equipment.

Abstract

Professional staffs in the coding section have an important role in doing activities in the hospital. The coding section officer is responsible for documents claimed by BPJS Health and is responsible for the claim. This study aims to determine the estimated number of workers in the outpatients coding section of BPJS needed based on the WISN (Workload Indicator Staff Need) method and to determine the competence and workload of coding officers. This is qualitative research using work time and measurements the WISN (Workload Indicator Staff Need) method. Retrieval of data from this study used observations, interviews and documentation studies. The results of this study were in the form of an estimate of the number of outpatient coding officers for BPJS patients needed to do job descriptions properly so that maximum work results were achieved. The results of the workload calculation using the WISN (Workload Indicator Staff Need) method, the minimum number of workers required was two officers, where currently there were two outpatient coding officers, so it was advisable to add two people, including one doctor as verification and one more person scanning the medical record. These additions should consider the competence of personnel in their fields so that they are able to perform well in accordance with existing standards.
