Abstract

With the location of Bengkulu Province on the west coast of Sumatra Island and facing the Indian Ocean, Bengkulu has good solar energy potential throughout the year so that it can be utilized as a simple renewable energy home source to increase energy independence in the community and energy security in a sustainable manner. In this study, a solar irradiation model approach was used through the equation developed by Bird and Hulstrom. This model considers the combined effects of aerosols, water vapor, ozone, air pressure, molecular scattering and other gases on sunlight reaching the earth's surface. The average total irradiation of 2.39 kWh/m2days and a total of 71.7 kWh/m2for 30 days were obtained. These results can be used as a renewable energy source for household consumption, the potential is sufficient. Power generation using 3 panels with an output of 286.5 Watts and an average of 244.5 Watts. Weather factors and solar irradiation affect these results. The charging time of a 100 Ah battery based on weather conditions, using 3 panels with cloudy sunny weather conditions was able to charge 100 Ah, a charging current of 14.55 Amperes with a charging time of 6.9 hours under ideal conditions and 7.6 hours under 10% efficiency loss conditions.

Abstract

Electric cars are vehicles that use an electric motor as the main source of power to move the vehicle. In an electric car, braking is also required. The braking that is usually used in competitions is how the braking is maximal or not maximal during a raceover a predetermined distance, and there are many different types of braking that are used, some of which use disc brakes. Therefore, a test was carried out on the influence of speed on braking results in electric cars. The aim of this research is to investigate the effect of speed on the braking results of the Singaperbangsa Electric Vehicle Bersama electric car over a predetermined distance. To determine the effect of speed on braking results, researchers carried out tests by carrying out braking tests with a predetermined track distance of 15 meters with speed variations of 30 km/hour, 40 km/hour and 50 km/hour.

Abstract

The city of Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan is a green city that has many high-rise buildings which are at risk of producing large amounts of carbon emissions, due to the use of building materials that are not environmentally friendly. This condition will get worse with theincreasing number of high-rise buildings that will be built in the future if they do not use environmentally friendly materials. This research aims to find out the amount of carbon emissions in the structural materials of multi-storey buildings. The research begins by carrying out 3D modeling using Tekla Structure Software, then specification information and work volume from the modeling results will be used to calculate the value of carbon emissions in building materials using coefficients from the Inventory Of Carbon And Energy from the University of Bath journal. The research results show that there are 16 materials that produce carbon emissions and have 2 dominant materials that produce carbon emissions, namely the Cement Plaster material which is the material that has the largest carbon emission value with a contribution of carbon emission value of 349,000.954 kgCo2/Kg (48.092%) then Iron material with a value of 339,035.037 kgCo2/Kg (46.718%)

Abstract

PD Indah Mulya is a trading company engaged in the wood processing industry, one of which is a door type product. In door production at PD Indah Mulya, there are usually defects such as splitting, sunken and porous. The defect needs to be corrected. The purpose of this study is to determine the percentage and factors that cause defects that most often occur and provide suggestions for quality improvement actions. The methods used are Six Sigma and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) at the improve stage. Based on the results of the study, the percentage of product defects is 27% split, 42% concave defects and 30% porous defects. The type of defect that occurs a lot in PD Indah Mulya is a sunken defect. Sunken defects are usually caused by the type of wood used is young. Based on the results of RPN calculations for FMEA door production, several risks are obtained that have the highest priority level for making repairs to minimize the possibility of errors. Calculation The highest RPN value is 180 from the type of concave defect with the cause of inappropriate selection of raw materials. The recommendation for proposed improvements to overcome this problem is to conduct coaching for the raw material selection process

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the mechanical strength of knuckles, made from aluminum 6061 and alloy steel, using static analysis at maximum load. This maximum load is obtained from calculating the tire reaction load. Finally, this research uses the finite element method which produces results in Solidwork software to produce static analysis of the knuckle model. From the results of the simulation and analysis of the components, the level of displacement, stresses and safety factors will be known. The main reference for the results of this analysis is the safety factor. This research is used as a reference for the electric car team. The knuckle arm is very important so it must be paid attention to because damage to the knuckle arm affects the stability of the vehicle

Abstract

Biomass waste from palm oil mill processing in Indonesia, especially on the island of Sumatra one of which is Aceh Province, is currently quite abundant and has not been managed optimally. This biomass waste can be converted into solid energy, which can be used as energy for biomass power plants. The aim of this research is specifically to convert biomass waste into solid energy. This research applies Simultaneous compression with heating as a fuel production method. The biomass waste used as solid fuel production material is empty palm oil bunches. The results of the fuel production process based on palm oil biomass waste show that the energy value reaches 26.80 MJ/kg. The carbon content in the produced fuel reaches 47.56%, with a low ash content of 6.70%. Calculations of the density of biomass-based fuel before and after production show an average of 1.42 grams/cm3. The results of tests carried out on fuel produced using palm oil biomass waste show high energy potential that can be used to reduce dependence on the use of coal.

Abstract

Nanocomposite polymers have become a major topic of research in nanotechnology. Nanoclays nanocomposite technology be able to improve the mechanical, thermal, and barrier performance properties with a minimum addition of <10 wt%. The deficiency of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) component materials is flammability, so a method needed to increase ABS thermal which is through the synthesis of ABS nanocomposite by mixing graphene, nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) and montmorillonite nanofil 15 (N15) in ABS mixture. The core tray has low heat resistance, is easily damaged and understands composite processes that can improve the thermal properties of the materials used. This program focuses on helping to improve industrial knowledge in solving the problem of processing raw materials used to produce core trays. Nanoparticles can provide the industry with an understanding of the application of nanoparticles to ABS materials. Data obtained that get an increase in the knowledge, skills and income of partners. The conclusion is necessary to monitor the application of nanocomposites by mixing the raw materials for making nanoparticles with graphene, NBR and N15 in a mixture of ABS, conducting increased research in plastic materials to improve quality and impact on competitive prices, establishing partnerships to product improvement with conducting research and product testing.

Abstract

The SN Multipurpose Cooperative has a business of collecting pure cow's milk from dairy farmers. Milk is processed by cooling it to a certain temperature. Pure milk from cooperatives sent to milk factories can be rejected by milk factories for various reasons so that dairy farmers experience losses. The SN Multi-Business Cooperative carries out business development, namely pure milk is further processed by the cooperative into ready-to-drink processed milk products. Business development in the field of processing pure milk products will provide a greater selling value compared to pure milk sold directly to milk factories. Distribution and delivery of processed milk to consumers is carried out using motorbikes. To carry processed milk, every motorbike rider uses a basket bag made of thick cloth which is placed on the back and contains around 30 liters of milk. Inside this bag, ice cubes are placed to maintain the temperature of the processed milk. Over a long period of time the ice cubes will melt into water and seep into the basket bag and damage the basket bag. With the development of a portable toll box, it is possible to maintain milk temperature for longer as well as anthropometric arm length and upwards. The cool box installed on the motorbike is equipped with foam in the cooling box. The distributed capacity is greater to 64 liters.

Abstract

Recently, technological developments have become increasingly rapidthus, companies must be able to compete by increasing efficiency and effectiveness in order to achieve productivity through system development. Currently, PT Bina Pertiwi Surabaya Branch has applied an information system in its process flow, namely System Application and Product (SAP). SAP is an information system in the form of software with various taskbar menus that function to process data. One of the taskbar menus that is commonly used is HR (Human Resources), especially regarding company expenditure reports, all matters with vendors and customers, as well as employee leave and overtime input. The purpose of this research is to analyze expense posting procedures using SAP. This research uses objects in the implementation of SAP and the parties involved. The results of this research show that the application of SAP makes it easier for employees to process data. However, problems were still found in the expense posting procedure. This obstacle comes from external parties, namely the WO (Work Order) number not appearing which can hinder the progress of the expense posting procedure. So, a solution is provided to resolve these obstacles by carrying out 10 resolution steps which include, difficulty analysis, open communication, updating or improving procedures, training and development, use of technology, collaborative teams, managing change, periodic evaluation, providing support, and flexibility

Abstract

Grainis the dominant agricultural commodity in Province of Aceh, grainisal sovery vulnerable to inflation. So far, there is no supply chain and calculation of added value on grain commodities in Glumpang Tiga District, Pidie Regency, the community, especially farmer groups as the main actors in the supply chain, do not know the added value of the commodities they produce, they are only considered as grain producers. On the basis of these problems, this research was developed with the aim of knowing the grain supply chain network to become rice and knowing how much added value for farmers and other actors in the rice supply chain networkin Glumpang Tiga District, Pidie Regency. This research was conducted using survey method and primary and secondary data collection from respondents through interviews and questionnaires. The data collected were then analyzed for added value usıng.The results of the research obtained a specific description of the grain supply chain that takes place in the Glumpang Tiga sub-district of Pidie district along with the flow of information, financial flow, and product flow. And the research results show that the commodity of grain into rice has a positive value for farmers, harvesters, and millers. Farmers have an added value of Rp.1,056/Kg with an average amount of 4,833/Kg of grain production, while the miller, the final actor in this supply chain gets a surplus witha valueof 65% orRp.1,324/Kg of net profit.
