Abstract

This study aimed to explain and prove the hypothesis regarding the influence of compensation, work engagement, and interpersonal relationships on employee retention at Perumda Pasar Joyoboyo in Kediri City. Employee retention is a crucial issue in human resource management as it relates to organizational sustainability, recruitment cost efficiency, and long-term performance improvement. This study employed a quantitative approach with a non-probability sampling technique, specifically a saturated sampling method. The entire population of 41 employees was sampled. Data were collected using relevant research instruments and then analyzed using SPSS using the t-test (partial), F-test (simultaneous), and coefficient of determination (R²) to determine the contribution of the independent variables to the dependent variable. The results showed that, partially, compensation and interpersonal relationships had no significant effect on employee retention. Meanwhile, interpersonal relationships had a more prominent effect, and when tested simultaneously, all three variables were found to have a significant effect on employee retention. These findings underscore the importance of interpersonal relationships in the workplace in maintaining employee loyalty and engagement at Perumda Pasar Joyoboyo in Kediri City.

Abstract

Investment decision-making among millennials in Indonesia is not only influenced by rational considerations but also by behavioral and psychological factors, which can be explained using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). Millennials represent the most active group in adopting digital financial services and participating in various capital market instruments, making it important to understand the determinants of their investment behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, risk tolerance, financial attitude, and investment experience on investment decisions among millennial employees. The research employed a quantitative design by distributing structured questionnaires to 100 respondents selected using an incidental sampling technique. The study population consisted of millennial employees working at BRI Tower 2, Jakarta. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach, processed through SmartPLS version 4.1.1.2. The results indicate that financial literacy, risk tolerance, and financial attitude significantly and positively affect investment decisions, whereas investment experience has a positive but insignificant effect. These findings confirm the TPB framework, in which financial literacy and financial attitude strengthen attitude toward behavior, while risk tolerance reflects perceived behavioral control. However, investment experience alone is not sufficient to consistently shape rational decision-making. This research contributes theoretically to behavioral finance studies and extends the application of TPB in the context of investment behavior. Practically, the findings imply the need for organizations and policymakers to design targeted financial literacy programs and initiatives that foster positive financial attitudes. Strengthening these aspects is expected to encourage sustainable and rational investment practices among young employees in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial ratios, specifically the Current Ratio (CR) and Return on Assets (ROA), on stock returns of food and beverage subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) during the period 2022–2024. The approach used is quantitative with a descriptive method and multiple linear regression analysis, along with classical assumption tests to ensure data validity. The sample consists of 18 companies that meet the purposive sampling criteria based on the availability of complete financial statements, observation periods, and no losses. Data were obtained from annual financial reports available on the official BEI website and individual companies. The analysis results show that, simultaneously, both Current Ratio and Return on Assets have a positive and significant effect on stock returns, indicating that liquidity and profitability are important factors affecting investment returns in this sector. Partially, ROA has a significant positive effect on stock returns, while the effect of CR is positive but not significant. These findings provide strategic implications for companies in managing financial aspects and for investors in making investment decisions based on financial indicators. This study is expected to contribute to the development of knowledge in corporate finance.

Abstract

This research aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of the administrative process for container Delivery Order (DO) handling implemented at Batu Ampar Port, Batam. The primary focus is to identify the procedural stages and evaluate the obstacles encountered during the DO issuance process. The Delivery Order is a crucial import document that serves as a transit permit, enabling service users to retrieve imported goods from the port area. The research methodology employs field research (field research) supported by a literature review (library research), allowing for the practical and thorough collection of operational data. The findings indicate that the administrative DO handling workflow commences with the receipt of documents from the shipping company representatives or service users, followed by the segregation of documents based on the company, recording the number of DOs, and culminates in the printing and validation of Form 2B, which serves as the official proof of cargo collection. This entire process demands close coordination among work units, particularly the administration and container depot sections. The study concludes that the effectiveness of DO management significantly impacts the smooth distribution of imported goods from the port. Common constraints frequently encountered include data inconsistency between the Bill of Lading and the received DO, as well as limitations in facilities and human resources within the administrative process. Recommended solutions include increasing supervision and refining the communication system between the applicant and the officials to ensure that the DO issuance process proceeds smoothly, promptly, and in compliance with established procedures.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work stress and work discipline on the effectiveness of human resources (HR) in employees of the Communication and Information Service (Diskominfo) of Ciamis Regency. The effectiveness of human resources is crucial for the success of government agencies in public services and information technology management, where the optimal performance of employees is influenced by stress management and discipline levels. This study adopted a quantitative-descriptive method by distributing questionnaires to 40 respondents who were selected through random sampling techniques. The data testing included validity, reliability, and multiple linear regression analysis tests to test the relationship of independent variables (work stress $X_1$ and work discipline $X_2$) to bound variables (HR effectiveness $Y$). The results of the analysis show that work stress and work discipline simultaneously have a significant effect on the effectiveness of human resources. Partially, work stress has a negative influence, indicating that increased work stress tends to reduce the effectiveness of human resources. On the contrary, work discipline has been shown to have a positive effect, showing that the higher the employee's discipline, the more their work effectiveness will increase. Therefore, the conclusion emphasizes that increasing the effectiveness of human resources requires the implementation of effective work stress management and the establishment of a consistent work discipline culture. This effort is important to create a conducive work environment, increase productivity, and strengthen the performance of the state civil apparatus in supporting an electronic-based government system and digital public services.
