Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation and training on job satisfaction at the Muhammadiyah Makassar Polytechnic. In a competitive era like today, effective work motivation and training can play an important role in improving employee performance and job satisfaction. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, involving 60 respondents from lecturers at the Muhammadiyah Makassar Polytechnic. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to lecturers at the Muhammadiyah Makassar Polytechnic and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study showed that work motivation had a significant effect on job satisfaction, the higher the work motivation, the higher the level of job satisfaction experienced by polytechnic lecturers. as well as training provided by the institution. Overall, both work motivation and training have been proven to increase job satisfaction of lecturers at the Muhammadiyah Makassar Polytechnic. This study provides implications for institutional management to pay more attention to these factors in an effort to improve the performance and welfare of lecturers.

Abstract

The concept of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) has emerged as a critical framework for understanding contemporary financial behavior. This literature study synthesizes existing research to elucidate how VUCA conditions influence financial decision-making among individuals and organizations. Despite the growing relevance of VUCA, there is a stark gap in how financial models adapt to these unpredictable environments, which traditional theories often overlook. Through a qualitative meta-analysis of peer-reviewed articles, this study reveals that cognitive biases become amplified in VUCA contexts, leading to irrational financial behaviors. Key findings indicate that stakeholders who embrace adaptive strategies—such as diversified portfolios and flexible financial models—are more likely to navigate the complexities of VUCA successfully. Additionally, advancements in technology provide opportunities for informed decision-making, albeit introducing challenges like information overload. This study concludes by highlighting the need for interdisciplinary approaches to further investigate financial behavior across varied demographics and suggests that integrating VUCA awareness into financial education may enhance decision outcomes in unstable environments. Future research should focus on the evolving interplay between behavioral finance and technology to develop more robust financial strategies. Konsep volatilitas, ketidakpastian, kompleksitas, dan ambiguitas (VUCA) telah muncul sebagai kerangka kerja kritis untuk memahami perilaku keuangan kontemporer. Studi literatur ini menyintesis penelitian yang ada untuk menjelaskan bagaimana kondisi VUCA memengaruhi pengambilan keputusan keuangan di kalangan individu dan organisasi. Meskipun relevansi VUCA semakin meningkat, terdapat kesenjangan yang mencolok dalam cara model keuangan beradaptasi dengan lingkungan yang tidak dapat diprediksi ini, yang sering diabaikan oleh teori-teori tradisional. Melalui meta-analisis kualitatif artikel yang telah diulas melalui pendekatan peer-review, studi ini mengungkapkan bahwa bias kognitif menjadi lebih menonjol dalam konteks VUCA, yang mengakibatkan perilaku keuangan irasional. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa pemangku kepentingan yang mengadopsi strategi adaptif—seperti portofolio dan model keuangan yang fleksibel—lebih mungkin berhasil menavigasi kompleksitas VUCA. Selain itu, kemajuan teknologi memberikan peluang untuk pengambilan keputusan, meskipun juga menimbulkan tantangan seperti kelebihan informasi. Studi ini menyimpulkan dengan menekankan perlunya pendekatan interdisiplin untuk menyelidiki lebih lanjut perilaku keuangan di berbagai demografi dan menyarankan bahwa integrasi kesadaran VUCA ke dalam pendidikan keuangan dapat meningkatkan hasil keputusan dalam lingkungan yang tidak stabil. Penelitian masa depan harus fokus pada interaksi yang terus berkembang antara keuangan perilaku dan teknologi untuk mengembangkan strategi keuangan yang lebih tangguh.

Abstract

This study investigates the makkunrai values held by Buginese women, reflecting their cultural significance and implications for socio-economic dynamics in contemporary society. Makkunrai represents the ideals of femininity among the Buginese people, emphasising qualities such as perseverance, resilience, and a spirit of adaptability. This literature review synthesises existing scholarship, exploring the historical, sociological, and anthropological dimensions of these values. The research highlights how these values shape the identity and roles of Buginese women in both familial and communal contexts, supporting their position in traditional and modern settings. Crucially, the study examines the impact of modernisation, globalisation, and cultural fluctuations on these values, revealing both continuity and change. By contextualising the challenges that contemporary Buginese women face, including educational access, economic opportunities, and societal expectations, the findings offer insights into how makkunrai values are negotiated and redefined. This literature approach not only enriches the understanding of Buginese women’s cultural heritage but also underscores the importance of preserving traditional values amidst evolving societal dynamics. The study calls for further interdisciplinary research to explore the implications of these values for gender equity and empowerment in Indonesia. Penelitian ini mengkaji nilai-nilai makkunrai yang dianut oleh perempuan Bugis, mencerminkan signifikansi budaya dan implikasinya terhadap dinamika sosial-ekonomi dalam masyarakat kontemporer. Makkunrai mewakili ideal femininitas di kalangan masyarakat Bugis, menekankan kualitas seperti ketekunan, ketahanan, dan semangat adaptasi. Tinjauan literatur ini menyintesis karya-karya akademik yang ada, mengeksplorasi dimensi historis, sosiologis, dan antropologis dari nilai-nilai tersebut. Penelitian ini menyoroti bagaimana nilai-nilai ini membentuk identitas dan peran perempuan Bugis dalam konteks keluarga dan komunitas, mendukung posisi mereka dalam lingkungan tradisional maupun modern. Secara krusial, studi ini menganalisis dampak modernisasi, globalisasi, dan fluktuasi budaya terhadap nilai-nilai tersebut, mengungkapkan baik kontinuitas maupun perubahan. Dengan melakukan pendekatan kontekstual terhadap tantangan yang dihadapi perempuan Bugis kontemporer, termasuk akses pendidikan, peluang ekonomi, dan ekspektasi sosial, temuan ini memberikan wawasan tentang bagaimana nilai-nilai makkunrai dinegosiasikan dan didefinisikan ulang. Pendekatan literatur ini tidak hanya memperkaya pemahaman tentang warisan budaya perempuan Bugis tetapi juga menekankan pentingnya menjaga nilai-nilai tradisional di tengah dinamika sosial yang terus berkembang. Studi ini menyerukan penelitian interdisiplin lebih lanjut untuk mengeksplorasi implikasi nilai-nilai ini bagi kesetaraan gender dan pemberdayaan di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effect of teamwork on the internal communication performance of employees in Liukang Kalma Subdistrict, Pangkep Regency. In the context of public organisations, internal communication is a crucial aspect that affects operational effectiveness and collaboration within teams. This research was conducted through a literature review approach by collecting and analysing various literature related to teamwork, communication, and employee performance. The results show that effective teamwork contributes significantly to improving internal communication performance. This improvement is demonstrated through a more harmonious working atmosphere, increased information sharing, and reduced conflict among team members. This study also identified supporting factors such as trust, motivation, and commitment of team members that play an important role in achieving better communication performance. With a deeper understanding of the influence of teamwork, it is hoped that employees can optimise internal communication performance to achieve organisational goals effectively. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for decision makers in improving teamwork strategies in the government environment. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh kerja sama tim terhadap kinerja komunikasi internal karyawan di Kecamatan Liukang Kalma, Kabupaten Pangkep. Dalam konteks organisasi publik, komunikasi internal merupakan aspek krusial yang memengaruhi efektivitas operasional dan kolaborasi di dalam tim. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan tinjauan literatur dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis berbagai literatur terkait kerja sama tim, komunikasi, dan kinerja karyawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kerja sama tim yang efektif berkontribusi secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan kinerja komunikasi internal. Peningkatan ini ditunjukkan melalui suasana kerja yang lebih harmonis, peningkatan berbagi informasi, dan penurunan konflik di antara anggota tim. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung seperti kepercayaan, motivasi, dan komitmen anggota tim yang berperan penting dalam mencapai kinerja komunikasi yang lebih baik. Dengan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang pengaruh kerja sama tim, diharapkan karyawan dapat mengoptimalkan kinerja komunikasi internal untuk mencapai tujuan organisasi secara efektif. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi pemangku kepentingan dalam meningkatkan strategi kerja sama tim di lingkungan pemerintahan.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence, or AI, has emerged as a transformative force in Human Resource Development, known as HRD, reshaping traditional paradigms of workforce training, talent management, and employee engagement. This literature review aims to synthesize existing research on the impact of AI on HRD, exploring various applications, challenges, and opportunities. The analysis reveals that AI enhances HRD practices through data-driven decision-making, personalized learning experiences, and efficient performance assessments. Notably, AI technologies enable organizations to identify skill gaps, provide tailored training solutions, and predict future workforce needs. However, the integration of AI into HRD is not without challenges; concerns regarding data privacy, algorithmic bias, and ethical implications remain prevalent. This review highlights the necessity for organizations to develop ethical guidelines and transparency in their AI applications to foster trust among employees. Furthermore, the literature underscores a gap in understanding the socio-cultural impacts of AI on workforce development, suggesting the need for further interdisciplinary research. By articulating both the advantages and limitations of AI in HRD, this study aims to provide practical insights for HR practitioners aiming to harness AI's potential while navigating its complexities. Ultimately, this literature review contributes to the ongoing discourse on the role of AI in shaping future HRD practices, emphasizing the importance of human-centric approaches alongside technological advancements. Kecerdasan Buatan (AI) telah muncul sebagai kekuatan transformatif dalam Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM), yang dikenal sebagai HRD, mengubah paradigma tradisional dalam pelatihan tenaga kerja, manajemen talenta, dan keterlibatan karyawan. Tinjauan literatur ini bertujuan untuk mensintesis penelitian yang ada tentang dampak AI pada HRD, mengeksplorasi berbagai aplikasi, tantangan, dan peluang. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa AI meningkatkan praktik HRD melalui pengambilan keputusan berbasis data, pengalaman belajar yang dipersonalisasi, dan penilaian kinerja yang efisien. Secara khusus, teknologi AI memungkinkan organisasi untuk mengidentifikasi kesenjangan keterampilan, menyediakan solusi pelatihan yang disesuaikan, dan memprediksi kebutuhan tenaga kerja di masa depan. Namun, integrasi AI ke dalam HRD tidak tanpa tantangan; kekhawatiran terkait privasi data, bias algoritmik, dan implikasi etis tetap menjadi isu yang dominan. Tinjauan ini menyoroti kebutuhan bagi organisasi untuk mengembangkan pedoman etis dan transparansi dalam penerapan AI guna membangun kepercayaan di antara karyawan. Selain itu, literatur menyoroti kesenjangan dalam pemahaman dampak sosial-budaya AI terhadap pengembangan tenaga kerja, menyarankan perlunya penelitian interdisipliner lebih lanjut. Dengan menguraikan baik kelebihan maupun keterbatasan AI dalam HRD, studi ini bertujuan memberikan wawasan praktis bagi praktisi HR yang ingin memanfaatkan potensi AI sambil menavigasi kompleksitasnya. Pada akhirnya, tinjauan literatur ini berkontribusi pada diskusi berkelanjutan tentang peran AI dalam membentuk praktik HRD di masa depan, dengan menekankan pentingnya pendekatan berorientasi manusia bersamaan dengan kemajuan teknologi.
