General elections are a means of democracy for citizens and are citizens' rights guaranteed by the constitution in the 1945 Constitution. Therefore, elections must be carried out democratically by referring to international standards which contain 15 points. In this case, elections are the most appropriate mechanism chosen to make it happen. Recently, many people have highlighted the discourse of postponing the 2024 election. The reason for this discourse is because the community's economy has not recovered due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the government wants to focus on economic recovery first rather than political affairs (elections). Apart from these reasons, the public is considered satisfied with Jokowi's performance. The series of events that occurred after the declaration of the proposed postponement of the election drew many comments. Among those who responded were Muhammadiyah and NU. The first group said that the postponement could be done but from an ethical perspective, according to him, it would be very problematic. This is similar to the opinion of most NU. The opinions of these two large organizations are based on khittah which are not much different from each other.

The history of Islamic thought as a religion has displayed many patterns and patterns of thought in it, including traditional-style thinking which is growing rapidly in Indonesia. Adherents of traditionalism Islam are usually conservative, which tends to move radically as in Turkey and Pakistan, but the reality is that in Indonesia, adherents of this ideology tend to be moderate in their socio-political movements, for example the founders and leaders of the Nahdatul Ulama (NU) organization who accept Pancasila. as the basis of the Indonesian state as a form of their tolerance and moderation. However, along with the development of science and technology, NU leaders and the younger generation are considered by many observers to be no longer traditional as their predecessors. Therefore, in this article, the author will describe the ideology of traditionalism and the transformation of thought within the Nahdatul Ulama (NU) organization group as the largest Islamic mass organization in Indonesia

Several definitions of minority and minority perspectives are offered by experts in Indonesia. Experts appointed by Komnas HAM RI carefully categorize minorities into five types based on ethnicity, religion and belief, disability, race and gender and sexual orientation according to socio-cultural conditions in Indonesia. Discrimination is an example of a case of the existence of a minority and a majority. Even though Indonesia regulates protection for all its citizens in accordance with the mandate of the 1945 Constitution. In addition, this paper describes the implications of Muslims if they become the majority nationally and regionally minorities in Indonesia. This description both explicitly describes the position of the majority of Muslims in Indonesia in accordance with the teachings of the Qur'an which spreads my love for all people so as to maintain peace in Indonesia. The picture is a bit contradictory if the position of Muslims is as a minority, there will be limitations to both the resources and the opportunities obtained. Therefore, it is necessary to look at the problems of minorities in Indonesia from various sides so that there is no stigma that the source of the conflict comes from religion.

The presence of progressive Islam in the midst of the rapid dynamics of change has become a solution to problems that are considered to have not yet been answered. Significant currents of change demand Islam as a religion that is ahmahan lil alamin always relevant to various times and circumstances. In short, the Al-Qur'an with the jargon of sahih likuli age wa food continues to be implemented, therefore it is necessary that in this article the author will explain the progressive Islamic reasoning of the Prophet's closest friend, Umar bin Khattab. Umar bin Khattab was known for his strict adherence to Islamic law and his efforts to promote justice and equality. The role of Umar bin Khattab in the formation of the science of jurisprudence was very large. Social changes in Indonesian society in the modern era cannot be avoided, because society itself has the potential to develop and change. So it becomes a problem for Islam to maintain its existence as a relevant religion at all times. As a manifestation of Islam's response to aligning its teachings with social changes that occurred was the emergence of the liberal Islamic network. Which offers a free mindset and development for individuals. The social situation in Indonesia is also partly influenced by the existence of this network, so it is necessary to study Indonesian social and liberal Islamic networks to find out how the liberal Islamic network influences social conditions in Indonesia. This paper uses library research methods, namely by collecting data such as books, journal articles and literary sources on the topic of social change and liberal Islamic networks.
