Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of photography training as a medium for developing soft skills in the context of secondary education, especially at SMA Ibrahimy 1 Sukorejo. Photography was chosen because it is a form of visual communication that is able to convey messages in an explorative, creative, and contextual manner. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, this study observed the training process which includes four main stages, namely interactive lectures, technical photography training, field practice, and reflective discussions. These four stages are designed to build technical skills while instilling the values ​​of cooperation, interpersonal communication, critical thinking, and a sense of responsibility in the participants. The results of the observations showed that students experienced significant improvements in their ability to express ideas visually and work in groups collaboratively. Reflective discussions proved to be an effective space to train the courage to express opinions and the ability to receive feedback constructively. Field practice also built social sensitivity and the ability to see reality from various perspectives. This photography training succeeded in becoming an alternative learning medium that was both fun and meaningful. Not only did it improve visual competence, this activity also strengthened students' character and life skills. These findings indicate that the integration of creative activities such as photography is very relevant to be applied in character-based education efforts in the digital era.

Abstract

Grapich design training using CorelDRAW is conducted with the aim of enhancing the design cretivity of students at SMK Ibrahimy 1 Sukorejo. This activity is designed as a form of informal learning that emphasizes hands-on practice so that participants can understand the basic techniques to continue with the form of visual works such as logos, brochures, product packaging, and more through an interactive approach involving materials, demonstrations, and individual practice exposure. Evaluation result show a significant improvement in technical skills and originality in the designs produced by the participants. Additionally, this activity promotes students’ confidence in their work and strengthens their willingness to engage with the creative industry. This training has proven to be an effective way to develop soft skills and personal potential in graphic design

Abstract

Microsoft Word training in the field of education has a very important role in improving the competence of information and communication technology which can be called (ICT) in the field of Education. Microsoft Word is one of the most commonly used processing software to support the learning process, administration, and scientific writing. This training activity aims to provide basic to advanced understanding of Microsoft Word such as Document format setting, automatic table of contents creation in making papers, table processing, and insertion of images and graphics. The training method used is practical and interactive, so that can increase in participants ability to use Microsoft Word more effectively and efficiently in the context of Education. This training encourages digitalization in the school environment and increases productivity in the training and learning process.

Abstract

CorelDRAW training for hing school students is a program aimed at improping graphic design competencies, with the aim of fostering creativity and digital skills in the cantext of contemporary tecnology. This training was conducted at ibrahimy sukorejo Hing School involving grade XI students as participants. CorelDRAW, recongnized as a leading vector designs, including logos, cover designs application, offers a variety of functions that facilitate the process of creating graphic designs, including logos, cover designs, and varius forms of visual media. This training initiative is designed to provide bacis knowledge about the use of CorelDRAW, starting from bacis principles such as tool use, color settings object management, to simple design development. The instructional metohodology includes presentations of theoretical materials complemented by hands-on practice sessions by students. Overall, this program makes a positive contribution to improving studts digital literacy and is the first step in forming a generation that is adeptive to technological devepments. The training assessment conducted on students reveald beneficial results in increasing motivatoin, thus encouraging enthusiasm for the field of graphic design. Through this training, students not only develop design-related skills but also develop the confidence needed to communicate ideas and messages effectively in a visual format

Abstract

  Vocational High School (SMK) is one of the vocational education that receives attention from the government. This seminar aims to assess students' skills in using Microsoft Office programs, namely Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point. For graduates who want to develop a career in the office sector, they should master the applications used in offices. SMK functions as a vocational school that organizes skills programs such as engineering, office, fine arts, restaurants, administration, and others, which can provide education, including hard skills that support professional skills. Currently, students must have the ability to run programs on Windows and the most commonly used programs such as Microsoft Office. SMK Ibrahimy is an Educational Institution under the auspices of the Salafiyah Syafiiyah Sukorejo Islamic Boarding School. This seminar can be used as evaluation material for vocational schools such as SMK Ibrahimy to improve the skills of their students.

Abstract

Microsoft Excel training at MA Nurul Islam Pakuhaji Tangerang Banten was held as an effort to improve the information and communication technology (ICT) competency of students. For this reason, one of the community service groups of Ibrahimy University Situbondo conducted Microsoft Excel training for MA Nurul Islam Pakuhaji students which aimed to improve students' technical skills in using spreadsheet software for data visualization purposes. Microsoft Excel is an application that is widely used, both in educational and professional environments, because it provides various features that support students in processing, analyzing, and presenting data efficiently. This training covers the basics of using Microsoft Excel, such as an introduction to the interface, basic formulas, and data processing with tables. Through this training, students can understand the use of Microsoft Excel regarding data processing and become the first step in equipping students with relevant digital skills in the modern era

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the impact of traditional games on the development of children's social interaction skills, highlighting its relevance amidst the shift in children's interests from traditional to digital games and the ongoing challenges of conventional mathematics education. Through a comprehensive literature review approach, this article analyzes the effectiveness of traditional games such as congklak, cak bur, and engklek in supporting cognitive, motor, and socio-emotional development in early childhood. The research findings indicate that traditional games significantly enhance social interaction skills, as evidenced by the effectiveness of cak bur in improving social interaction among kindergarten students and the role of congklak in the socio-emotional development of young children.

Abstract

The traditional Riau Malay beverage, Laksamana Mengamuk, is a cultural heritage asset facing existential challenges amidst modernization. This study explores its potential as an educational tool in urban public settings. The research method involved direct public socialization at the Car Free Day on Jenderal Sudirman Street, Pekanbaru, featuring outreach, a making-of demonstration, and product sampling. The enthusiastic and positive public response indicates that a direct educational approach combined with a sensory (taste) experience is highly effective for building emotional and cultural connections to local culinary heritage. These findings confirm that direct sensory engagement is an effective method for enhancing cultural awareness. Therefore, strengthening collaboration among stakeholders is recommended for the sustainable preservation of local culinary heritage within public spaces.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how to organize a seminar on Microsoft Word as an effort to improve digital literacy skills among students of SMP 3 Ibrahimy. Digital literacy is an important skill needed by students in facing challenges in the era of information technology. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, by collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation during the seminar. The results of the study indicate that the Microsoft Word seminar succeeded in improving students' understanding of the basic and advanced functions of this word processing software. Students became more proficient in creating documents, organizing text formats, and utilizing features that help their learning tasks. In addition, this activity also encouraged a positive attitude towards the use of technology in a beneficial way

Abstract

Kasturi ice is a traditional beverage from Riau, made from the kasturi fruit (Mangifera casturi). This drink has a unique taste, combining sweet and sour flavors with a distinctive aroma. More than just a thirst quencher, kasturi ice is a symbol of cultural heritage that carries historical, philosophical, and social values. Amidst globalization and the rise of modern beverage products, the existence of kasturi ice has been declining. This study aims to uncover the cultural values contained in kasturi ice and explore strategies for its preservation. A qualitative approach was used through observation, interviews, and documentation of social activities. The results indicate that preserving kasturi ice can be achieved through innovative, educational, and participatory approaches to ensure its relevance in the modern era. Kasturi ice should be seen as part of the cultural identity of the Malay community in Riau that must be preserved and passed down to future generations.
