Abstract

Background: Environmental health issues are still one of the focus of health problems in Indonesia. In this regard, in order to support the achievement of the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) targets including Universal Access 2019, by the end of 2019 100% of villages must implement Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM), and 50% of STBM villages must achieve verified Open Defecation Free (ODF). In this case the government produces a new paradigm, namely giving a greater role to the community and placing it as the object as well as the subject of development. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the forms of community participation, to determine the level of participation, and to determine the factors that influence community participation in Pasaribu Tobing Jae Village. This type of research uses qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Method: The data collection is obtained from observations to see facts in the field, interviews and documentation. Using research informants taken from respondents who are responsible for determining policies and decisions and supervision related to the implementation of the STBM Program, Head of Puskesmas, Sanitarian Officers, community leaders and Communities who participate in the STBM program in Pasaribu Tobing Jae Village. Results: The results show that the form of participation of thinking and giving energy has been carried out in the development of the program, but in the form of property participation the community has not provided financial assistance or property in the implementation of STBM, for the level of participation of each informant, participating based on their respective levels of participation, and for factors that influence the community to participate, namely economic factors, knowledge and attitudes that are still low towards caring about latrine construction. Disscusion and Conclusion: Suggestions for optimizing the work of puskesmas sanitarians in triggering socialization through community involvement in planning, development to pre-triggering evaluation.

Abstract

Background: Broiler chicken farming business according to the Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 31/Permentan/140/2/2014, broiler chicken cultivation needs to be further developed to increase the income and welfare of breeders, livestock companies and the community, including increasing competitiveness. The large number of farms standing in residential areas can have an adverse impact on public health if the management of the farms does not comply with applicable regulations. Farmers still ignore environmental problems, so many people complain about the existence of these livestock businesses. Apart from causing environmental pollution impacts such as air pollution (odor), there are many flies hanging around the cage and the surrounding environment. Purpose: To determine the Analysis Of Chickenhood Sanitation And Late Density In Namorih Village Dusun Ii Kecamatan Pancur Batu. Method: The type of research used was descriptive which aimed to describe the sanitation of chicken coops and the level of fly density in Namorih Dusun II Village, Pancur Batu District, Deli Serdang Regency. The population of this research were 5 broiler chicken breeders in Namorih Dusun II Village, Pancur Batu District, Deli Serdang Regency and a sample of 5 breeders was taken using total sampling technique. The data collection method is direct observation using a questionnaire. Data were processed using univariate analysis Disscusion and Conclusion: The research results showed that of the 5 chicken coops that were observed, there were 3 (60%) chicken coops with good sanitation and 2 (40%) chicken coops with moderate sanitation. Of the 5 chicken coops observed, there were 4 (80%) chicken coops with medium fly densities and 1 (20%) chicken coops with high fly densities. It is hoped that broiler chicken breeders will improve sanitation facilities both in broiler chicken coops and the surrounding environment and control them.

Abstract

Background: One of the efforts to create a quality family is through the Family Planning (KB) programme. Family Planning Field Officers (PLKB) are district / city government employees in the village / kelurahan in charge of implementing / managing, mobilising, empowering and mobilising and developing partnerships with various parties in the implementation of family planning service programmes. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to the performance of PLKB. Method: The research method used descriptive analytic with cross sectional approach. Data collection was done by using questionnaire. Subjects were 34 respondents and analysed using Chi Square test. Results: The results of univariate analysis showed that the majority of respondents aged 38 - 48 years were 19 respondents, the majority of high motivation were 24 respondents, the majority of good leadership were 21 respondents and the majority of good performance were 29 respondents. The results of bivariate analysis showed that none of the 3 variables studied had a relationship with PLKB performance, namely age p=0.370, motivation p=0.104 and leadership p=0.278. Disscusion and Conclusion: The Department of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection as well as Population Control and Family Planning (DP3APPKB) Kab. Samosir should continue to improve PLKB knowledge through training, seminars, further education and others

Abstract

Background: Turnover intention is the desire of workers to quit the company because they move to another company. Companies that have good development programs are the cause of the trigger for someone to change jobs. The high level of turnover intention has now become a serious problem for many companies and even some companies experience frustration when they find out that the recruitment process that has succeeded in attracting qualified staff in the end turns out to be in vain because the recruited staff have chosen jobs in other companies. Purpose: This study aims to determine the factors associated with turnover intention in workers at PT Shimizu Adhikarya. Method: This type of research is quantitative using a cross sectional approach. This research was conducted at PT Shimizu Adhikarya, with a total sample of 35 respondents. This study uses univariate and bivariate analysis. Results: The results of bivariate analysis using Fisher's Exact Test, obtained the results that there is no relationship between workload with a P value of 0.055, no relationship between work stress with a P value of 0.095 and no relationship between the work environment with a P value of 0.450 to turnover intention in workers at PT. Shimizu Adhikarya in 2023. Disscusion and Conclusion: It is suggested to workers to pay attention to workloads that are too heavy and can be useful and experience regarding workload, work stress and work environment on turnover intention, as well as for companies it is hoped that it can help company management as information, consideration and evaluation that can be used for decision making to support the company in a better direction in the future, to further researchers to pay more attention to matters related to workload, work stress and work environment that come both from external, internal, outside or within a company organization, group or individual is an element or matter that must continue to be considered by the company in the future.

Abstract

Background: Under-five nutrition is influenced by socio-economic factors and socio-cultural backgrounds related to diet and nutrition. Inadequate nutrition in the first five years of life results in irreversible impairment of physical, mental, and brain growth and development. The measure of success in nutritional fulfillment is nutritional status. The nutritional status of children under five reflects the level of development and welfare of society in a country and is related to the future health status of children. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the factors associated with the nutritional status of toddlers of farming families in Tetehosi Afia Village, North Gunungsitoli District, in 2023. Method: The type of research used in this study is quantitative with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study was all mothers who had toddlers in Tetehosi Afia Village, the work area of the UPTD Puskesmas of North Gunungsitoli District, Gunungsitoli City, which amounted to 169 toddlers. The sample technique used was proportional random sampling, totaling 55 samples. The research analysis used the chi-square test through cross-tabulation with α <0.05. Statistical analysis revealed that respondents' education (p-value 0.000), occupation (p- value 0.002), income (p-value 0.036), and knowledge (p-value 0.000) have a relationship with the nutritional status of toddlers in Tetehosi Afia Village, Gunungsitoli Utara District and for family size (p-value 0.785), there is not relationship with the nutritional status of toddlers in Tetehosi Afia Village, Gunungsitoli Utara District. Disscusion and Conclusion: It is recommended for health workers to conduct nutrition counseling for infants and toddlers with mothers according to the level of education and knowledge of the mother and the age of the child.

Abstract

Background: Non-communicable diseases are the leading cause of premature death globally. Every year, 41 millions people die from heart attacks, strokes, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes, with a percentage of 70%. Research by Balitbangkes states that the number of non-communicable diseases in Indonesia is currently starting to be experienced by young age groups aged 10–14 years (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2020). This is also supported by the results of Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) which show an increase in the prevalence of diabetes, stroke, hypertension and joint disease from 2007, 2013, to 2018. Non-communicable diseases can be prevented through changing behavior towards awareness of the importance of maintaining body health. Non-communicable diseases can be prevented through changes in mindset and behavior patterns and awareness of the importance of maintaining a healthy body. Prevention of non-communicable diseases in the community starts in adolescence and is initiated by adolescents themselves. Purpose: This study aims to determine the factors associated with the prevention behavior of non-communicable disease risk factors in the youth of Binaka Village, Gunungsitoli Idanoi District, 2023. Method: This type of research is quantitative research with an analytic or observational design using a cross-sectional approach. The study population was adolescents who were active in the Youth Posyandu of Binaka Village, Gunungsitoli Idanoi District, totaling 85 people and a sample of 46 people. The measuring instrument was a questionnaire and direct observation of all respondents. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square. Results: The results showed that all variables were related to the prevention behavior of non-communicable disease risk factors. There is a relationship between knowledge and prevention behavior of non-communicable disease risk factors (p = 0.008); there is a relationship between family support and prevention behavior of non-communicable disease risk factors (p = 0.004); there is a relationship between peer support and prevention behavior of non-communicable disease risk factors (p = 0.016); there is a relationship between the availability of facilities and prevention behavior of non-communicable disease risk factors (p = 0.004); and there is a relationship between the role of health workers and prevention behavior of non-communicable disease risk factors (p = 0.027). Disscusion and Conclusion: It is recommended to the Head of UPTD Puskesmas Gunungsitoli Idanoi District to continue to carry out education, to adolescents to be more active in attending youth posyandu and continue to behave healthy, and to the family or community to keep motivating adolescents and creating a healthy environment, including a healthy lifestyle in the family.

Abstract

Background: ANC visits aim to monitor the welfare of the mother and child at least four times during pregnancy. In 2016, K1 and K4 coverage in Gunung Sitoli City, namely K1 was 4.4% and K4 was 89.6%. The amount of coverage has decreased compared to 2017 where K1 was 95.3% and K4 was 95.3%. The impact of pregnant women who do not receive ANC at least 4 times will not be found in premature labor, high risk pregnancies, nor will abnormalities be found which will increase the death rate and pain during pregnancy. The low level of utilization of health services for pregnant women at Community Health Centers is caused by many factors. Several factors influence the use of ANC, namely, predisposing factors including (age, education, employment, parity, and pregnancy spacing), and supporting factors including family income and demand factors (health of pregnant women). Purpose: To determine the factors associated with the utilization of antenatal care services in the UPTD Puskesmas area of Gunung Sitoli Selatan Subdistrict. Method: The type of research used in this research is quantitative with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were all pregnant women who underwent ANC examinations in June-July 2023 in the UPTD area of ​​the South Gunungsitoli District Health Center for the 2023 period, totaling 74 respondents, all of whom were used as the sample (Total Sampling). Data collection uses Primary and Secondary Data using questionnaire sheets and observation sheets. Data analysis used the chi-square test via cross tabulation with α<0.05. Results: There is no relationship between maternal employment and utilization of ANC services with a Chi Square value of P = 0.429. There is a relationship between knowledge and utilization of ANC services with a Chi Square value of P = 0.000. There is a relationship between attitude and the use of ANC services with a Chi Square value of P = 0.000. There is a relationship between family support and service utilization with a Chi Square value of P = 0.000. Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge, attitudes and family support with the use of ANC services in the UPTD area of ​​the Gunung Sitoli Selatan sub-district health center. Disscusion and Conclusion: Suggestion: it is hoped that the UPTD Coordinating Midwife at the Gunungsitoli Community Health Center will plan health promotions to pregnant women regarding the use of ANC services by involving various local sectors

Abstract

Background: Population problems faced by developing countries including Indonesia in general are large population, high growth, uneven distribution, and low quality. The problems are very complex and related to each other, resulting in unbalanced population growth. To reduce the rate of population growth can be achieved through the Family Planning (KB) program and the voluntary use of contraceptives to Couples of Fertile Age (PUS) to create effective human resources to improve family resilience, health, safety of mothers, children and women. Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship between age, education, occupation, knowledge, husband's support, and the role of PLKB with the use of contraceptives in Fertile Age Couples (PUS) in the working area of Danau Paris Health Center, Aceh Singkil Regency in 2023. Method: The type of research used is quantitative research with analytic survey method with cross sectional research design. The sample in this study was taken as many as 92 people who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection by distributing questionnaires analyzing the relationship with the chi-square statistical test. Statistical analysis obtained acceptor education (p = 0.011 < 0.05), acceptor knowledge (p = 0.000 < 0.05), acceptor husband support (p = 0.000 < 0.05), and the role of PLKB (p = 0.001 < 0.05) has a relationship with the use of contraceptives, while acceptor age (p = 0.391 > 0.05), and acceptor employment (p = 0.525 > 0.05) has no relationship with the use of contraceptives. Disscusion and Conclusion: It is recommended that the Puskesmas improve the performance of Family Planning Field Officers (PLKB) in conducting family planning education to increase knowledge of contraceptives in the community

Abstract

Background: Community participation in BPJS Health membership is uneven between the two hamlets that are part of Persadanta Village in participating in the BPJS Health program. There are 33% of the Persadanta Village community who have not participated in the BPJS Health program. The community has not participated in the BPJS Health program because the community feels that there are still other needs to be met and considers BPJS Health not the main need. Purpose: Meanwhile, to get health protection in living life, health insurance such as BPJS Health is needed to help anticipate and minimize the financial impact of various life risks that can occur at any time. Method: This study aims to analyze the relationship between education level, economic status, knowledge, attitudes and community perceptions with BPJS Health membership participation in Persadanta Village. By using quantitative research with a cross sectional design, researchers analyzed data from 79 heads of households obtained through questionnaires and interviews. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test with a 95% confidence level. Disscusion and Conclusion: Through statistical tests, it was found that all variables were associated with BPJS Health membership participation in Persadanta Village. Seeing the importance of being a BPJS Health participant, a series of policies are needed to increase the participation of the Persadanta Village community in participating in the BPJS Health program.

Abstract

Background: Healthy latrines are a basic sanitation facility to maintain environmental welfare in order to improve the degree of public health. In the XII neighborhood many people still use pour-flush latrines, although some have switched to gooseneck latrines because the majority of households are located on land. Some respondents who have adopted gooseneck latrines still dispose of feces directly to the sea, due to financial constraints, unfavorable geographical conditions and lack of environmental support for the construction of septic tanks. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the relationship between community predisposing factors and the use of healthy latrines in Neighborhood XII of Belawan I Urban Village, Medan Belawan Sub-district. Method: The type of research is quantitative with cross sectional research design. The population was all 655 families with a sample size of 87 families taken by simple random sampling. Primary data collection was done by interview and questionnaire. Data processing was done by editing, coding, data entry, cleaning and tabulating. Bivariate analysis used chi-square test with 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). Disscusion and Conclusion: The results showed that all independent variables consisting of: knowledge, economic status, attitude and education have a relationship with the use of latrines, it is necessary to make various efforts through the role of the community and health workers in improving the quality of sanitation and environmental health in Neighborhood XII Belawan I Village, Medan Belawan Subdistrict.
