Jurnal Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam (ISSN 2088-9992; E-ISSN2549-8738) accredited Sinta 5 Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, is an academic journal that emphasizes on actual issues related to Islamic guidance and counseling. Journal of Counseling Religi Journal of Islamic Counseling Guidance is published twice a year (once every six months, issued in June and December) by the Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam Fakultas Dakwah dan Komunikasi Islam Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan Ampel Surabaya is valid since the first Journal of Vol.1, No 1, June 2011. Abstract

The purpose of this article is to try to make a counseling service offering by using breathing meditation that includes spells to reduce the stress currently experienced by the millennial generation. This article uses research in the form of literature review, by gathering a number of references related to meditation and stress, both in the form of journals and reference books. Stress is the gap between environmental demands and the ability of individuals to fulfill both physically and spiritually which results in the stressful stress that is currently mostly experienced by millennials. The result of this article is to make an offer in the form of counseling based on breathing meditation by using mantras in the form of prayer, by utilizing rhythmic breathing to guide a person into deep meditation or a relaxed mental state. Meditation that is done regularly can reduce stress.

Abstract

This article explores the counseling aspects of Tariqa Shiddiqiyyah bai’a. Whereas, the bai’a of tariqa can effectively form a counscious personality (ma’rifat) that is present in Allah’s environtment so that a militant attitude emerges in doing worship. The main question is what are the values of counseling in the bai’a of Shiddiqiyyah Tariqa? How to use tariqa bai’a in counteracting extremism and radicalism? This research was carried out qualitatively which made bai’a of tariqa the main data collected through involved observation, in-depth interview, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using phenomenological interpretation techniques. The results show; first, bai’a of the tariqa of Shiddiqiyyah is a murshid discourse to his students to be intensive in reciting dhikr; the murshid or caliph always guides and accompanies the student in dhikr, so that the student must present in imaginary murshid figure in him self when doing dhikr. Seond, the bai’a of Shiddiqiyyah tariqa teaches the unity of the servant with God, namely, 1) Shiddiqiyyah students must identify with the attributes of Allah as Almighty Who always works hard to provide sustenaince and protect His servants, 2) Students of Shiddiqiyyah tariqa position themselves as servants who are guided by ‘Gusti’ Allah, The Lord of The Most excellency of the King, so that they are diligent in working to achieve His blessings and mercy. So, the bai’a of Shiddiqiyyah tariqa is projected to guide the tariqa students in order to synergize between true faith in Allah with the spirit of working as worship to gain the benefit of life. On that basis, the bai’ah of tariqa creats militancy for work and worship which also has the potencial to ward off the militancy of terrorists who fail to understand in doing God services.

Abstract

Gender is a fundamental thing in social life, where one of the most important aspects of Gender is Gender Roles, Gender Roles are behavioral characteristics expected by society for men and women which include attitudes, attributes, behaviors and values that are followed by the local community. Changes in social condition and community conditions must also be balanced with a more open understanding of gender, especially on Gender Roles, because if there are gaps in Gender Roles, it will result in Gender discrimination. in the Adolescent Phase, individuals will want to know more about their identity and what role they should play in society. So it is necessary to understand gender roles and self-understanding in order to form gender roles that are in accordance with their gender identity. This study aims to determine the gender role orientation of santriwan and santriwati in Al Muqoddasah Islamic boarding school. This research was conducted with a quantitative descriptive approach with the survey method. The subjects of this study were 138 students. The data collection technique was carried out by using a questionnaire that was distributed offline to students in the Al Muqoddasah boarding school. The results of this study are that there are as many as 31% of subjects who have an androgynous gender role, as many as 25% of subjects have a Masculine gender role, as many as 23% of the subjects have a Feminine gender role, and as many as 21% of the subjects have an Undifferentiated gender role.

Abstract

During this pandemic, counselors are required to balance their academic competence with the ability to operate the technology used as an intermediary for the implementation of their service process. The demands for competence that must be possessed by a counselor must be based on the needs of the times, not least in the era of massive technology used during the pandemic and its use will be predicted to be needed until after the pandemic period as well. The solution we offer in responding to the challenges of the times is by developing a web-based e-counseling. E-Counseling IKIP Siliwangi is the result of a big idea that was created to break through barriers in psychological problems. The writing methodology in this scientific paper uses literature based/library study-based writing which is carried out by reviewing and exploring various theories and praxis through literature ranging from books, scientific journals, dissertations, e-books, internet and various data and facts that exist in society. Today e-counseling is no longer an experiment that will be developed, but e-counseling is a result of a scientific research whose use is becoming increasingly rapid based on strong scientific arguments.

Abstract

Walimah as a tradition of the Gorontalo community certainly has its own meaning or value in its implementation. This study aims to integrate and explore the values of Islamic guidance and counseling in the walimah tradition. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this study conclude that there are Islamic guidance and counseling values in the walimah tradition of the Gorontalo community including personal values, social values, religious values, compassion values, the value of happiness in the world and the hereafter, the value of physical-spiritual unity, the value of education, and the value of deliberation.

Abstract

Islamic behavioral cognitive counseling is a counseling process to create a positive, rational, logical, and adaptive mindset through the values ??of the Qur'an and hadith. Researchers used Islamic Cognitive Behavior to be applied to female students at the Assalafi Al-Fithrah Islamic Boarding School in Surabaya who experienced impaired interest in learning because they were motivated by their own negative thoughts. The counseling process includes problem identification, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, as well as evaluation and follow-up. The treatment refers to the 12 steps in Islamic cognitive behavioral counseling based on Ibrahim Elfiky's positive thinking therapy. Researchers developed this treatment by integrating techniques in the cognitive behavioral approach and positive thinking therapy belonging to Ibrahim Elfiky which includes the values ??contained in the Qur'an or hadith. Changes in behavior in the form of being willing to enter class according to schedule, rarely sleeping when the teacher delivers lessons, and returning to focus on the subjects delivered by the teacher.

Abstract

The use of Negative Reinforcement as a Model of Parenting in Improving Early Chilhood Discipline Behavior in TPQ Daarul Qur’an Wonosari Boalemo Gorontalo.The focus of this research are: (1) How is the process of using negative reinforcement as a parenting model in improving early chilhood disciplinary behavior in TPQ Daarul Qur’an Wonosari Boalemo Gorontalo? (2) What are the results of using negative reinforcement as an parenting model in improving early chilhood disciplinary in the TPQ Daarul Qur’an Wonosari Boalemo Gorontalo? To answer the problems raised in this study, researchers usedqualitative research methods, with the type of case study research. Qualitative research data were obtained through interview techniques, participant observation, and documentation.In this study is concluded that, (1) the process of using negative reinforcement through stages according to theory, using the type of avoidance and escape operant conditioning, provides negative stimuli to early chilhood so that it causes a response to children’s behavior and produces a consequence that has a lasting effect long, namely discipline.(2) The result of the use of negative reinforcement is that children begin to get used to disciplined behavior, have an orderly and directed personality.

Abstract

In this study, researchers will discuss about the communication used in the practice of guidance and counseling theraphy also known as therapeutic communication. The target of this study are students of the last semester Program  Islamic  Guidance and Counseling in  UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya for  2015-2016 academic year. In general, students have  a study period around 3.5 years up to 4 years. But not all students can finish their thesis on time.  So, it makes an unrest effect on them. This occurs because it tends to delay their thesis.  As a result, many students are unable to finish the thesis program within the specified time for their graduation. Therefore, there needs to be an effort to guide academic procrastination among these students.  The BKI Program provides a consultation, namely Islamic Counseling Guidance. The purpose of this counseling guidance is to help student, so they don’t give up easily in terms of facing their problem. Like educational problems or personal problems (external or internal) and to help individuals maintain and develop good situations so as not to become a source of problems for themselves and others. Therefore, the method used in this counseling emphasized on politeness in language to provide guidance or advice to the students. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with survey approach. This research refers to the problems or facts that occur. The technique of collecting data are by survey, interview and treatment.

Abstract

This study discusses efforts to increase learning responsibility for students of SMA Negeri 2 Lambu class XI by using a reality group counseling approach. This study uses qualitative research methods with a case study approach. The research subjects consisted of 12 students who will take part in the counseling process, namely pre-counseling, the initial stage, the transition stage, the work stage, and the final stage. The reality group counseling used emphasizes students' awareness of their responsibilities as students, such as; learn during class hours, do assignments from the teacher, be able to determine the choice of learning activities from various alternatives and have a strong interest in learning. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the implementation of reality group counseling could increase students' learning responsibilities. This can be seen by changes in students' behavior and mindset. Among them are self-control, discipline and confidence in learning.

Abstract

This reserch aims to find strategies that can be used by parents to assist children in school from home through the introduction of children's learning styles. The method of this research was using library research . Data collection technique used in this research is documentation method. Data analysis technique used ini this research was content analysis. The results of this research which includes; Recognizing the characteristics of various learning styles, how to identify and learning strategies that parents can apply according to the child's learning style, and the benefits of learning in a way that suits the child's learning style.
