Abstract

The search and booking of boarding houses (kost) remain a significant challenge for newcomers in campus areas, particularly in Kelurahan Samata, home to UIN Alauddin Makassar, which admits approximately 15,000 new students annually. Many of these students come from outside the region and require temporary accommodation near the campus. This issue is primarily caused by limited access to information and the lack of an optimal system to support the search and booking process. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the level of user acceptance of the developed system. This study aims to analyze user acceptance of a boarding house search and booking information system in the case of Kelurahan Samata using the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) method. UAT is a testing approach used to determine whether a system meets user requirements, is accepted according to expected standards, and to identify the need for further improvements to ensure its feasibility for use. The UAT was conducted by end users, namely boarding house seekers and property owners/managers, by responding to 10 evaluation indicators: (1) ease of search, (2) time efficiency, (3) booking process, (4) geospatial search features, (5) completeness of information, (6) availability of suitable boarding houses, (7) accuracy of information, (8) ease of payment process, (9) check-in scheduling, and (10) navigation features for directions. The results of the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) indicate that the system achieved an average score of 87.77, suggesting that the system is highly acceptable and significantly facilitates users. These findings demonstrate that the system is well received by users, confirming that it functions effectively and is capable of accommodating all required functionalities.

Abstract

This study discusses the design and testing of a growing media moisture and water level monitoring system based on ESP32-MQTT. The system was developed to support real-time monitoring of growing media conditions and water availability through a monitoring dashboard. This research used an experimental method with a design and implementation approach by developing an ESP32 circuit connected to a capacitive soil moisture sensor and a water level sensor, then sending sensor data to the dashboard through the MQTT protocol and Node-RED. Testing was carried out using a plant pot as the moisture testing medium and a water container as the water level testing medium. The results showed that the growing media moisture sensor displayed 0% in dry and very dry soil conditions, 61% in moist soil, and 89% in very moist soil. The water level sensor displayed 0 cm, 2.4 cm, and 4 cm according to the testing conditions. These results indicate that ESP32-MQTT can be used as an initial prototype for monitoring growing media moisture and water level before being applied to a complete hydroponic or aquaponic system.

Abstract

Inventory management in photocopy businesses in Kalituk is still predominantly carried out manually, resulting in various operational challenges such as recording errors, delays in restocking, inaccurate stock information, and discrepancies between recorded and actual inventory levels. These issues can affect business efficiency and hinder the smooth execution of daily operations. This study aims to implement a React Native-based restock application to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of inventory management in photocopy businesses. The system was developed using a structured design approach that includes the creation of a Context Diagram, Data Flow Diagram (DFD), Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), and Activity Diagram to model and analyze system processes comprehensively. The developed application provides features for recording incoming and outgoing stock, monitoring inventory availability, managing inventory data in real time, and facilitating faster decision-making regarding restocking activities through mobile devices. System testing was conducted to evaluate functionality and usability. The results demonstrate that the application is capable of simplifying inventory recording and restocking processes, minimizing human errors in data entry, improving inventory monitoring, and increasing operational efficiency. In addition, the mobile-based platform enables users to access inventory information more flexibly and conveniently. Therefore, the implementation of the React Native-based restock application can serve as an effective solution for supporting more organized, accurate, and modern inventory management practices, ultimately contributing to improved business performance and operational sustainability in photocopy enterprises.

Abstract

Researchers made observations of user reviews who complained about problems such as bugs, unstable performance, and errors when purchasing. This study aims to analyze the User Experience (UX) on the JakOne Mobile application. The methods used include literature study, data collection and processing through the UEQ questionnaire, as well as analysis and discussion of the results. The results of the analysis show that of the six UEQ rating scales, five scales (Attractiveness, Clarity, Efficiency, Stimulation, and Novelty) get Excellent scores, while the Accuracy scale gets Bad scores. In UX analysis, the JakOne Mobile application has a very good benchmark level with 10% the best result and 25% the worst result. The assessment aspects of Attractiveness, Perspicuity, Efficiency, Stimulation, and Novelty are in the positive zone, while Dependability is in the negative zone. The results showed that the JakOne Mobile application received good marks from users, especially at Gunadarma University, the Information Systems Department class of 2020. This research provides input for Bank DKI and application developers to improve service quality to users. Thus, this research contributes to understanding the user experience and improving the JakOne Mobile application.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a mobile-based hampers e-commerce application for Toko Sahabat Tegal using the React Native framework. The problem is that the sales process is still conducted manually, making it less effective in managing orders and customer services. The method used is the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with the waterfall model, including requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system is designed using Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), and implemented with Firebase as the backend system. The results show that the application facilitates transaction processes from product selection to payment verification by the admin, and all system features run according to requirements based on black-box testing, all system features run according to the designed requirements. Thus, this application has proven to be suitable for use as a digital solution to support sales transformation at Toko Sahabat Tegal, while simultaneously improving the quality of service to customers in the digital era based on mobile commerce.

Abstract

The issue of waste and the low level of public awareness regarding environmental cleanliness have become challenges that require effective communication strategies to encourage behavioral change. This study aims to identify the communication strategies used by Pandawara Group in the #OneDayOneTrashBag campaign to increase public awareness of the importance of environmental preservation through social media. This study employs a qualitative approach using a narrative method. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation of the #OneDayOneTrashBag campaign activities. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of transcription, data selection, classification, and the construction of research narratives. The findings show that Pandawara Group’s communication strategy is developed through simple and easily understood message planning, the use of before-and-after visual content, the utilization of social media as a space for education and participation, and the establishment of interaction with audiences. The strategy is reflected through the aspects of plan, ploy, pattern, position, and perspective, which build Pandawara Group’s identity as an action-based environmental campaign movement. This study demonstrates that consistent, visual, and participatory digital communication can serve as an effective approach to increasing awareness and encouraging public involvement in environmental issues.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat telah mendorong perusahaan untuk mengadopsi transformasi digital dalam berbagai proses bisnis, termasuk aktivitas pemasaran. PT Snapdev Digital Indonesia, perusahaan yang beroperasi di sektor teknologi digital, membutuhkan sistem pemasaran digital yang efektif dan terintegrasi untuk mendukung aktivitas promosi dan meningkatkan interaksi dengan pelanggan. Namun, proses pemasaran saat ini masih bergantung pada berbagai media terpisah, sehingga menghasilkan penyampaian informasi yang kurang optimal dan manajemen konten yang tidak efisien. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sistem yang ada, merancang dan mengembangkan sistem pemasaran digital berbasis web menggunakan metode Prototipe, dan mengevaluasi kualitas sistem berdasarkan standar ISO/IEC 25010. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran dengan menggabungkan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dan dokumentasi. Pengembangan sistem dilakukan menggunakan metode Prototipe, yang terdiri dari perencanaan, perancangan, pengembangan prototipe, pengujian, dan penyempurnaan sistem berdasarkan umpan balik pengguna. Pemodelan sistem dilakukan menggunakan Unified Modeling Language (UML), termasuk diagram use case, diagram aktivitas, diagram sekuens, dan diagram kelas. Evaluasi kualitas sistem dilakukan berdasarkan karakteristik ISO/IEC 25010, yaitu kesesuaian fungsional, efisiensi kinerja, kompatibilitas, kemudahan penggunaan, keandalan, keamanan, pemeliharaan, dan portabilitas. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sistem pemasaran digital yang dikembangkan meningkatkan efektivitas kegiatan promosi, mempermudah pengelolaan konten, meningkatkan penyampaian informasi, dan meningkatkan interaksi pelanggan. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi ISO/IEC 25010, sistem tersebut memenuhi persyaratan pengguna dan cocok untuk diimplementasikan di PT Snapdev Digital Indonesia.

Abstract

Service continuity is a critical requirement in modern network infrastructure, since even a brief interruption on a primary server can directly disrupt end-user access. This study examines the effectiveness of a failover mechanism built with Heartbeat Cluster on a Debian-based server environment. A two-node architecture was configured, consisting of Node1 as the primary (master) server and Node2 as the backup server, both monitored through Heartbeat to manage the automatic migration of a Virtual IP Address (VIP) whenever the primary node becomes unreachable. Testing was carried out by deliberately shutting down Node1 and measuring the time required for the system to transfer services to Node2 across six independent trials. The results show that Heartbeat consistently detected the failure and redirected the VIP without manual intervention, keeping the web service accessible with only a brief interruption; the average failover time recorded was 14.41 seconds. The system also performed a successful failback once Node1 was restored. These findings confirm that Heartbeat Cluster is an effective and low-cost approach for improving service availability on Debian servers, particularly for small-scale or educational network environments with limited infrastructure budgets.

Abstract

Information system quality testing is a critical factor in supporting the effectiveness and efficiency of corporate business operations. This study aims to implement and evaluate software quality based on the ISO/IEC 25010 international standard within the E-Office (Digital Archive) operational applications of PT Snapdev Digital Indonesia. Quality testing is comprehensively conducted across eight main characteristics: Functional Suitability, Performance Efficiency, Compatibility, Usability, Reliability, Security, Maintainability, and Portability. The research methodology employs a quantitative descriptive approach using a structured questionnaire distributed to active users. Through purposive sampling, a final sample size of 27 active respondents was established. The empirical results show that the percentage scores for each quality aspect range from 80.00% to 86.67%, which demonstrates that the system successfully satisfies the standard software quality requirements. The overall average score of 83.56% places the system quality in the "Very Good" category. This outcome indicates that the system possesses efficient performance, strong security and reliability, ease of use, and adaptability across various environments. However, a minor area of improvement in security is identified to ensure optimal system protection. In conclusion, the implemented information system is highly suitable for supporting corporate operational needs and complies with international software engineering quality standards.

Abstract

The SiKesal application serves as one of the means to involve citizens in the development of Jambi City. Success in implementing this information technology innovation is reflected in users’ willingness to accept and use it, closely related to the ease and benefits obtained. This study aims to analyze and elaborate the government communication strategy applied to disseminate the SiKesal application in supporting the Smart City program in Jambi. Descriptive‑qualitative method with case‑study approach is used. Data were gathered through direct observation and in‑depth interviews covering seven informant groups: mayor or deputy mayor, head of Communication and Information Agency, active users, non‑users, community leaders, academic observers, and mass media representatives. Analysis follows four stages: situation analysis, goal and strategy formulation, implementation, and evaluation. Results show that the strategy is built upon thorough understanding of barriers in public service, especially regarding accessibility and efficiency in submitting complaints. Strategic objectives focus on improving service quality through digital innovation so citizens can report issues instantly anytime and anywhere without visiting government offices physically. This mechanism facilitates access to public services and ensures faster responses from relevant agencies to support the Smart City initiative effectively.
