Abstract

ABSTRACT. An experiment was conducted for six weeks to study the effect of early restricted protein on performance of broiler in 96 three days old Hubbard chicks. This number of birds were randomly divided into three experimental groups, each consisting of 32 birds was divides into four replications of 8 birds. Which were then placed into 55 x 50 x 50 cm cages at the rate of four birds per cage. Group one, two and three were fed 24%, 20%, and 16% crude protein respectively fot the first 3 weeks, and four the second 3 weeks all groubs were fed 20% crude protein. All birds were maintained with feed and water always available. The amount of feed consumption each week during the experiment was recorded. The initial weight of each bird was recorded at the beginning of the experiment. At the first 3 weeks 16% crude protein decreased weight gains and feed efficiency of chickens significantly (P 0.05) below that of the 20% and 24% crude protein groups. However, at the second three weeks there were no significant differences among the three groups of birds. There were no significant differences among the groups of birds in feed consumption during the six weeks of the experiment.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Tempe of soybean is fermented soybean with Rhizopus ologosporus fungus. From a result of researchers, it is the fact that tempe can increase valuable of nutrion and digest capacity and also produce antibiotic . Utilization of abtibiotic in chiken food as stimulus growth in not recommended because it can cause resistance a certain germ and it is presume there are antibiotic residu in egg and chiken meat. It is hope that the use of fermented soybean oil meal can increase nutrient value and digest capacity as well as produce antibiotic, so that it can get a better growth and over come a problem of using antibiotic in chiken food. The study was conducted to evaluate the effect of fermented soybean oil meal utilization in the ration on body weight gain, feed consumption, feed conversion and mortality. The study use 80 unsex day old chick broiler CP-707 and conducted at Poulty Laboratory Product Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University. Chiken were putting in 27 houses unit, each unit contain of four chiken. The design of experiment was Completely Randomized Design, four treatments and five replication. The treatments were ration contained 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% fermented soybean oil meal as replace the use of soybean oil meal. The protein and energy content of all dietary treatments were equally composed from six weeks investigation, were body weight gain, feed consumption, feed conversion and mortality. The result of the study indicated that up to 10% graded of fermented soybean oil meal in ration were significant difference influenced increase the body weight gain and decrease the feed conversion. The fermented soybeanoil meal) utilization more than 10% were significant difference decrease the body weight gain and increase the feed conversion. If the inclusion was increase the feed consumption would tendency decline. In this study there were no mortality in all treatment. In can be advised from this study that fermented soybean oil meal could be used in broiler ration or in all poulty ration.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. A study of pyisical properties and quality of yogurt with Lactobacillus bulgaricus as a starter has been doon. Objectives of this study is to know how many percent starter of L. bulgaricus in yogurt to decrease suscepetibility to syneresis and to increase quality of yogurt. Yogurt was analyzed for susceptibility to syineresis, titratable acidity and content of crude protein and crude fat. Syinerisis of yogurt was evaluated according to centrifugal methods of Halwarkar and Kalab. The result of the study showed that yogurt with 2.5-10 % L. bulgaricus as a starter are not have any effect of susceptibility to synerisis and content of crude fat, but centripuged at 250-1000 rpm. Had significantly different (0.01) on susceptibility to synerisis. On the other hand the increasing of centrifuge rotation, increase susceptibility to synerisis. The starter of 5-10% L. bulgaricus used in yogurt able to increase titratable acidity and content of crude protein. The yogurt prepared by 10% L. bulgaricus had the highest score (3.88%) of crude protein, although there is no significant differences with yogurt using 7.5% L. bulgaricus.

Abstract

ABSTRACT.The objective of this study is to know the effectivity of oestrus syncronizination and male effect combination in local does. A research was carried out of ten healthy female local does, 2.5-3.5 years old and non in oestrus or gravid condition. Does are divided in to groups, which consist of 5 does. Oestrus was synchronize by intramuscular injection of 125 u cloprostenol (estroplan TM). The does were injected twice at on interval of 10 days. After second group introduce with one male while at first group without male ever. The second injection was accoplished after the does revealed the charactristic oestrus sign alliwed mating naturally. The percentage of does revealed oestrus after synchronize and male effect combination process (100% vs 100%) with onset of oestrus showed not significantly difference (38.4 9.37 vs 34.4 9.53). All female does were become gravid(100% vs 100%)with average of number of kids was notsignificantly (1.2 0.45 vs 1.8 0.45).

Abstract

ABSTRACT.Host and temperature preference, male accurrence, and morfomentrics of 39 isolates of Apehelenchus avenae were investigated. Of the 39 isolates, 33 were from 7 sistrict of Kyushu, 3 preference were investigated on 4 species of fungi; Botrytis cinerea, Rhizoctonia solani AG-4, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. Melonis, and Pyitum aphanidermatum growing on 1/5 strength PDA medium. The nematodes were incubated on respective fungus mat for 30 days at 25 and 30 OC host fungi and temperatures gave rise to various levels of reproduction and male accurance. The isolates were divided into 5 groups based on their reproductivity on their host fungi at the 2 temperature regimes. Most of the isolates of A. avenae progated themselves at 25 0C on B. cinera and R. solani AG-4, was 60.850 given by Nagasaki isolates (NA3). The maximum multiplication 48.420 at 0C accured on R. solani byu Kagoshima isiolate (KA3). The occurrence of males was very low in all isolates and it occurred only at 30 0C. De Mans value of body dimension were measured and showed no significant variation among the isolates. Besides, There were no realtions between groupings by host preference and by body dimension.
