Abstract

A hotel is one of the places needed as lodging facilities. The selection of a hotel is indispensable to the goals and needs of the visitor. In addition, a strategic location and a comfortable atmosphere are also considerations. The lack of information about hotels is one of the problems for visitors when it comes to a city to determine the desired hotel. This study develops a Decision Support System (SPK) to choose the best hotel in Medan City using the Outranking RElation Sorting method on basis of Threshold Exploration (ORESTE). This system is designed to assist visitors in choosing a hotel that meets the desired criteria. The Outranking RElation Sorting method on basis of Threshold Exploration (ORESTE) is used to determine the weight of each attribute and perform alternative ranking of hotels. In this study, the criteria used include the type of hotel, location, facilities, service and price. This system is expected to help visitors in making more precise and objective decisions. The results of the study show that this SPK system can help visitors in choosing the best hotel that suits their needs.

Abstract

Pengembangan sistem operasi pada platform terdistribusi, terutama dalam konteks Cloud Computing, memainkan peran penting dalam mengelola sumber daya komputasi secara efisien. Manajemen terdistribusi mengacu pada penggunaan terintegrasi dari berbagai komponen di berbagai lokasi, menghadirkan tantangan yang signifikan dalam mengelola dan memantau sumber daya yang tersebar. Komputasi awan menawarkan solusi infrastruktur fleksibel yang memungkinkan pengguna mengakses sumber daya komputasi tanpa memerlukan manajemen infrastruktur fisik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan manajemen terdistribusi dalam sistem operasi komputasi awan dengan memanfaatkan algoritma pembelajaran mesin untuk meningkatkan efisiensi alokasi sumber daya dan meningkatkan keamanan data. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui metode observasi sistematis dan tinjauan pustaka. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan algoritme prediktif di lingkungan cloud secara signifikan mengurangi waktu respons dibandingkan dengan metode manual dan memperkuat perlindungan data melalui deteksi intrusi yang ditingkatkan. Selain itu, sistem berbasis pembelajaran mesin memungkinkan skalabilitas yang lebih baik dan adaptasi yang lebih cepat terhadap permintaan sumber daya dinamis tanpa waktu henti sistem. Makalah ini menyumbangkan wawasan berharga dalam mengoptimalkan kinerja komputasi awan melalui manajemen sumber daya terdistribusi yang ditingkatkan.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Learning Management System (LMS) for kepalangmerahan management education in the Indonesian Red Cross Youth at SMK Wiworotomo Purwokerto The methodology employed is the Knowledge Management System Life Cycle (KMSLC) with the Meyer and Zack cycle approach, along with the spiral knowledge model by Nonaka and Takeuchi. Network infrastructure involves the internet, wireless access points, and private internet networks. Hardware and software include android devices with browser applications. Resource and data identification is carried out through discussions, interviews, and data entry, utilizing sources from PMR trainers, the Indonesian Red Cross website, and scholarly literature. The Knowledge Management (KM) team consists of PMR trainers, LMS developers, administrators, and PMR members. The system is implemented using WordPress and the TutorLMS plugin, with verification and validation testing conducted through black box testing. The research results demonstrate the successful development of the kepalangmerahan management education LMS in PMR SMK Wiworotomo Purwokerto, with a specific focus on disaster management education materials. This study contributes to improving effective learning access within PMR.

Abstract

E-commerce is all activities selling goods and services carried out through electronic media. Shrimp Cracker Shop, is a business that operates in the field of selling typical souvenirs. Currently, sales of goods are still carried out manually, namely by buyers coming directly to the shop or by purchasing by telephone. This type of research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. This research provides an accurate description and explanation of the conditions or symptoms faced. The materials used in this research are data obtained from the results of interviews and later the results of the interviews can find out what needs are needed to build a website. System Design Methods in Designing a The system definitely requires modeling so that the results of the system design that you want to achieve can obtain maximum results. What the author uses is Unified Modeling Langue (UML). Which consists of use case diagrams, class diagrams, and activity diagrams. In this research the author uses the Rapid Application Development system development method. The software development method in this research uses the Rapid Application Development (RAD) model system development method. After the design is carried out, the researcher draws conclusions namely the e-commerce design of the Manda Shrimp Cracker Shop was successfully created to help promotion and sales. The results of testing the Blackbox Testing software system were declared successful, and the feasibility test using a Likert scale resulted in a score of 93% (very feasible). Overall, the results were successful and in accordance with what was designed.

Abstract

Currently at UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, there is an outreach to find new students for high school and equivalent schools which is carried out every year. The socialization process explains the steps for registering new students. In the future, it is hoped that many prospective students will register to become new students. UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. In designing this simulation using the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) method, the stages in the MDLC method can make the simulation design in the form of animation complete. This research method provides information using instruments with a qualitative approach. This method collects data provided or obtained from sources, both written and verbal. A qualitative approach is carried out by interviewing sources directly, making direct observations from the field. The beta test results show that the animated simulation video for new student admissions at UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi obtained an average percentage of 87%. The highest percentage score was 93% for the assessment of the first question regarding sound quality and the fourth question regarding whether the animated simulation video could be played well.

Abstract

This research discusses the design of correspondence filing applications at the Subdivision of the Gerindra Faction of the North Sumatra Provincial DPRD. The letter filing system that is still done manually causes various obstacles such as difficulty in finding documents, the risk of damage and loss of physical documents, and inefficiency in archive management. The purpose of this research is to design a computer-based application to optimize the process of filing incoming letters and outgoing letters. The system development method used is waterfall with the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The application is designed using PHP programming language and MySQL database to store mail data. The results showed that the designed application can facilitate the process of archiving, searching, and managing correspondence digitally and increase work efficiency in the Gerindra Faction Subdivision of the North Sumatra Provincial DPRD. This system is also equipped with a security feature in the form of a user login to maintain document confidentiality.

Abstract

Meeting scheduling is a crucial aspect of time and resource management at the DPRD Office of North Sumatra Province. This article aims to analyze and design an efficient and effective meeting scheduling information system. Through a needs analysis approach, this research identifies various challenges faced in the current scheduling process, such as schedule conflicts and lack of transparency. By employing a web-based system design method, it is expected that the resulting system can facilitate coordination among members, enhance efficiency, and simplify information access. The outcomes of this research are anticipated to significantly contribute to improving organizational performance at the DPRD of North Sumatra Province.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effect of Information System Implementation on Employee Operational Efficiency. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method, with primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques use questionnaire and documentation methods. The population in this study was 100 respondents. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of information systems significantly influences 72% of employee operational efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of user satisfaction with the Library Information System using the PIECES Framework approach. This method includes six main indicators: Performance, Information, Economics, Control and Security, Efficiency, and Service. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 30 respondents consisting of library managers and users. The results showed that all indicators were SATISFIED with an average satisfaction score of 3.46. The Control and Security indicator obtained the highest score with a value of 3.93, while Service was the indicator with the lowest value, namely 3.51. In general, the Library Information System is considered to have fast, accurate, and efficient performance in supporting library management. However, there are several inputs related to service features that need to be improved, especially to facilitate new users. The results of this study confirm that the PIECES Framework is effective for evaluating user satisfaction, providing comprehensive guidance for information system analysis. The findings of the study are expected to be a reference for the development of library information systems in the future to improve service quality and operational efficiency.

Abstract

The optimization of thread management in operating systems is essential to improve the performance of multithreading-based applications. This study analyzes various techniques to enhance thread management efficiency, including thread pooling, dynamic scheduling, load balancing, and synchronization contention reduction. Experimental results indicate that thread pooling reduces overhead by reusing threads, while dynamic scheduling improves multitasking responsiveness by prioritizing urgent tasks. Load balancing ensures equitable workload distribution across processor cores, minimizing execution time. Furthermore, reducing synchronization contention using mechanisms like semaphores decreases thread waiting time, thereby boosting application performance. These optimizations enable modern operating systems to efficiently utilize multi-core architectures, improving speed, responsiveness, and user experience. This research highlights the importance of thread management optimization as a foundational step towards developing adaptive and scalable operating systems for future complex and data-intensive applications.
