Abstract

Permasalahan yang terdapat pada penelitian ini adalah buku/sumber belajar yang disediakan kementrian sampai sekarang belum memadai disekolah, siswa kurang mandiri dan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran, guru   dianggap   satu-satunya   sumber   dalam   proses   belajar   mengajar, pemilihan media pembelajaran yang kurang sesuai menyebabkan siswa cepat bosan dan tidak mendengarkan guru, siswa belum dihadapkan pada situasi yang lebih nyata dalam proses belajar mengajar dan belum tersedianya modul pada mata pelajaran dasar- dasar kelistrikan di SMK N 1 Painan. Tujuan penelitian yaitu: 1) Mengembangkan modul pembelajaran Sistem Komputer untuk siswa kelas X Teknik Komputer Jaringan di SMKN 1 Painan, 2) Menghasilkan modul berbasis konstruktivisme untuk mata pelajaran Sistem Komputer yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yaitu analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Modul pembelajaran Sistem Komputer berhasil dikembangkan melalui model pengembangan ADDIE, 2) Modul pembelajaran berbasis konstruktivisme yang dihasilkan sudah efektif diterapkan pada siswa kelas X di SMKN 1 Painan.

Abstract

Designing a web-based mess and dormitory booking application is an innovative step in increasing the efficiency and comfort of housing services for students. This application aims to replace the manual ordering system with a web technology-based solution that makes it easier for students to access information and make reservations practically. The method used is waterfall, where the software design process is sequential which develops downwards like a waterfall and is a method suitable for use in designing systems whose specifications do not change and are systematic and sequential, so that each stage in the design process will begin when the previous stage has been completed. There are 5 stages in the waterfall method, namely analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Allows users to easily check real-time availability, facilities and rates of mess and hostels. Through an integrated online booking system, students can make room reservations quickly, efficiently and hassle-free. The application of web technology is expected to reduce complexity in managing student housing, save time, and increase information transparency. The use of web-based Mess and Dormitory Booking Applications not only optimizes housing management, but also improves the student experience in finding housing that suits their preferences and needs. Thus, it is hoped that this application can make a positive contribution to the advancement of information technology in the academic environment and provide a modern solution for student housing needs.

Abstract

This article presents a study that aims to examine and analyze the factors that influence students' decisions in choosing the Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology. The research intends to assist universities in gaining a deeper understanding of the crucial factors that students consider when selecting a university. Consequently, this will lead to the development of more effective admission policies and strategies. The study involved collecting data from a random sample of first-year students at Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology during 2022. Data was gathered using questionnaires and both qualitative and quantitative research methods, utilizing SPSS 20 software. The findings from factor analysis indicated that a multiple regression model was suitable for assessing the factors that influence decisions to enroll in the Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology. Variables such as CSVC1 (Adequate classrooms meeting to learning needs), CSCV4 (Modern and well-equipped library with ample study materials), HP3 (Generous scholarships for various groups), VL3 (Supportive policies for employment during studies), DT2 (Curriculum aligned with social needs), DT4 (High-earning graduates), and DNGV1 (Highly qualified and standardized faculty) showed significant correlations with the dependent variable - students' career choices. The results demonstrated that the proposed model was well-fitted, with favorable levels of compatibility indices (CFI, TLI) and accuracy (GFI, RMSEA). Additionally, the outcomes of the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) supported the appropriateness of the proposed model and its capability to explain the relationships between variables in the study. Based on these research findings, the article provides recommendations, including enhancing faculty quality, improving infrastructure and facilities, diversifying programs, and enhancing university information dissemination to elevate the quality and quantity of future admissions.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology and telecommunications has driven companies and MSMEs to adopt desktop, mobile, and web-based applications to enhance operational performance. PT HPS Painan Padang, previously relying on manual ticket bookings, faced challenges in efficiency and susceptibility to brokering practices. To address this, a web-based travel ticket booking application was developed, enabling customers to book tickets online more practically, quickly, and conveniently, anytime and anywhere. The integration of Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology in the form of a chatbot further enhances service efficiency and responsiveness. This feature provides real-time information on departure schedules, seat selection, and payment transactions while also supporting sentiment analysis and swift responses to customer feedback, ultimately improving service quality. The application, built using PHP, MySQL, and CodeIgniter with a Prototype development approach, adapts to changing market demands. Testing via GTmetrix on the https://desistravel.xyz/backend page demonstrated excellent performance with an 88% Performance score, 95% Structure score, and optimal Web Vitals metrics, indicating a fast, responsive, and stable platform. The final product is a user-friendly web-based ticket booking application supported by an intelligent chatbot, offering a seamless user experience, enhancing customer satisfaction, and streamlining the travel booking process efficiently.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a transaction data security system on the web-based Pancadaya Waste Bank application by applying a hybrid cryptographic algorithm that combines Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Rivest Shamir Adleman (RSA). The problem faced in the previous system is the weak recording and security of customer transaction data, because the process is still carried out manually so that it is prone to recording errors, loss of important information, and potential misuse of data by unauthorized parties. To answer these problems, this study uses the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method which allows the application development process to be carried out quickly, flexibly, structured, and according to user needs. The research method used was a qualitative approach with interview techniques with the management of the Pancadaya Waste Bank and the Environment Office, as well as an in-depth literature study on the application of hybrid cryptographic algorithms in modern information systems. The system is built using the PHP programming language, MySQL database, and OpenSSL library as the main support for the data encryption and decryption process. The implementation of the algorithm is carried out by encrypting transaction data using AES for efficiency and speed, then the AES key is secured through RSA to ensure a higher level of security while preventing illegal access. The test results showed that the system was able to encrypt and decrypt transaction data in real-time, as well as display transaction results in the form of digital notes on deposit and balance withdrawal activities. In addition, performance tests using GTmetrix showed that the application has excellent speed, stability, and processing efficiency, making it feasible to be widely implemented in Pancadaya Waste Bank operations.

Abstract

In the era of globalization and technological developments, students are required to have critical thinking skills and competencies, problem solving skills and the ability to think creatively. This article discusses the application of Project-Based Learning as an effective strategy in improving students' creative thinking abilities in the Network Systems Administration course, even semester January-June 2023, Padang State University's Informatics Engineering study program. The research design used was Quasi Experimental, involving two class groups, each an experimental class and a control class. This research produced findings that showed significant differences in increasing creative thinking skills between the experimental class and the control class. This difference can be seen from the results of the N-gain test (0.006 < 0.05), which shows that the average increase in creative thinking skills in the experimental class is higher than in the control class. Analysis per indicator shows that the increase in N-gain in the experimental class in the Fluence and Flexibility indicators is in the high category, while the Originality and Elaboration indicators are in the medium category. This finding is supported by the higher level of learning activity in experimental class students compared to the control class. Apart from that, positive responses from students regarding the implementation of the project based learning model can also be seen from the results of the questionnaire instrument.Keywords: Network System Administration, Creative Thinking Ability, Project-Based Learning

Abstract

Keamanan lingkungan rumah menjadi aspek penting seiring meningkatnya kebutuhan terhadap sistem pengawasan yang cepat dan efisien. Sistem keamanan konvensional seperti pagar dan kunci memiliki keterbatasan dalam memberikan perlindungan optimal, terutama dalam mendeteksi ancaman secara real-time. Penelitian ini mengusulkan perancangan dan implementasi sistem keamanan rumah berbasis kamera IP dengan kemampuan deteksi objek manusia secara real-time menggunakan algoritma YOLOv8 (You Only Look Once versi 8). Sistem ini mampu mendeteksi keberadaan manusia di area pekarangan, memberikan peringatan otomatis melalui alarm suara ketika objek melewati batas area (bounding line), serta mengirimkan tangkapan layar hasil deteksi ke aplikasi Telegram. Pengembangan sistem dilakukan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Python dengan pustaka OpenCV untuk pemrosesan citra dan antarmuka pengguna berbasis Tkinter, serta menerapkan metode pengembangan perangkat lunak prototipe. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mendeteksi objek manusia secara akurat dan memberikan respons sesuai logika sistem, seperti aktivasi alarm selama 30 detik dan pengiriman notifikasi dengan waktu dan tanggal ke Telegram. Pengujian menggunakan metode black-box membuktikan bahwa seluruh fitur berjalan sesuai harapan. Kesimpulannya, implementasi YOLOv8 pada sistem keamanan rumah mampu meningkatkan efektivitas pengawasan dengan performa optimal pada perangkat keras terbatas, serta memiliki potensi pengembangan lebih lanjut melalui penambahan fitur histori deteksi, dan pengenalan objek lain.

Abstract

Pemilihan jurusan di perguruan tinggi merupakan keputusan penting yang memengaruhi masa depan akademik dan karier siswa. Namun, banyak siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menentukan jurusan yang sesuai dengan bakat dan kemampuan mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sistem klasifikasi bakat siswa dalam memilih jurusan perguruan tinggi menggunakan metode data mining dengan algoritma Decision Tree (C4.5). Data yang digunakan berasal dari siswa SMA Negeri 1 Painan yang meliputi nilai ujian, nilai rapor, dan jurusan SMA. Proses penelitian dilakukan melalui tahapan pengumpulan data, preprocessing, pemodelan menggunakan RapidMiner, serta evaluasi model dengan metode cross validation 10-folds. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa atribut nilai rata-rata ujian menjadi faktor utama dalam menentukan jurusan yang sesuai. Model yang dihasilkan memiliki tingkat akurasi sebesar 87%, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu dalam memberikan rekomendasi jurusan kepada siswa. Dengan adanya sistem ini, diharapkan dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami potensi diri serta mengurangi kesalahan dalam memilih jurusan di perguruan tinggi.
