Abstract

Adolescent girls are more susceptible to dysmenorrhoea which is influenced by many factors, one of which is the mental condition of adolescents who experience menstruation. The aim of the research was to analyze the effect of the acupressure method on dysmenorrhoea in young women at Muhammadiyah 1 Gresik junior high school. This research design uses the Pre-Experiment method with a One Group Pretest Posttest design. The population was 44 teenagers who experienced dysmenorrhoea, using the Simple Random Sampling technique, 40 teenagers were obtained. This data was taken using a questionnaire and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scores.  After tabulating the data, it was analyzed using the Paired t Test with a significance level of p = <0.05. The results of the study showed that the average dysmenorrhoea scale before the acupressure method was carried out was 5.6 and after the acupressure method was carried out it was 2.28.  Based on the results above, the significance value is sign=0.000<0.05. This means that there is an influence of the acupressure method on dysmenorrhoea in young women at Muhammadiyah 1 Gresik junior high school

Abstract

Floods are natural events that come suddenly with an uncertain periodicity, except for areas that often experience annual flooding, such as in Tahtul Yemen Village. This flood disaster can cause health problems that threaten society, one of which is the Dangue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) outbreak. This activity aims to carry out mapping of flood-prone areas and dengue-prone areas in Tahtul Yemen Village to provide education about the management and prevention of dengue fever in order to improve the health status of the community, especially those in vulnerable areas. This research is exploratory research with an ecological study research design using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Based on data on flood-prone areas obtained from 12 RTs in Tahtul Yaman Village, 5 RTs had a high percentage of being affected by flooding, 4 RTs had a moderate percentage of being affected by flooding, and 3 RTs had a low percentage of being affected by flooding. Meanwhile, for dengue-prone areas, there are 7 RTs with a low percentage, 3 RTs with a medium percentage, and 2 RTs with a high percentage. In conclusion, it was found that in Tahtul Yaman Subdistrict areas prone to flooding with the highest dominance are in RT 11,12,5,9, and 7 and areas prone to Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) are dominant in RT 7 and 9. It is recommended that the areas that have been mapped be included in prone to flooding and Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) strengthen drainage systems, green infrastructure, and increase public awareness about disease prevention

Abstract

Indonesia is a country situated in the middle of two seas encircling continents. Indonesia is situated in the area of the world's most active earthquakes, as shown by its location on tectonic plates encircled by active volcanoes. For victims, it causes severe anguish and sadness. Examining the degree of trauma experienced by children following the earthquake in Kajai, West Pasaman, West Sumatra, Indonesia, is the goal of this study. In West Kajai Pasaman, West Sumatra, 303 post-earthquake children were the sample for this quantitative study, which used a descriptive research approach. According to the study's findings, mild trauma was experienced by 30.4% of post-earthquake children, moderate trauma by 62.7%, and severe trauma by 6.9% of the population. It is anticipated that this study would draw attention to the number of traumatized youngsters in Kajai village. The regulatory agencies will find these insights useful in reducing
