Abstract

The concept of Insan Kamil Ibn ' Arabi in the perspective of transpersonalism with the dimension of faith based on the essence of monotheism in the process of perfecting faith through an intuitive approach, Man is a reflection of the analogy of God the radiances of God and in man all the qualities collected in Man are bodily and mental, man who is aware of himself then he will know his Lord, when man loses his afterlife attributes and attaches importance to the mortal world then he will become a human Hayawan. Then the data were analyzed using descriptive, historical and holistic methods. Based on research conducted, it can be seen that, in actualizing the basic potential of human spiritualtas according to Ibn ‘Arabi can be viewed from the theory of transpersonalism. As has been theorized, as follows. First, the knowledge of the soul. Second, the highest levels of achievement. Third, the highest stage of awareness of unity, and fourth, the perfect servant. Where each part is reviewed by the theory. Therefore, man in understanding his basic potential as a human being is not only related to matter as the physical form of man, but far from it, man also through a metaphysical approach to achieve perfection.

The point of view highlighted by the researcher is more on the way Muslims react to it, which starts with exploring the online shop law in Islam. Rather than that, in this digital era, it is not surprising that the majority of Muslim communities are interested in using digital media to study religion instantly. Media Youtube for example, a video that examines the online shop from the perspective of hadith. How is the credibility of digital media in studying contemporary issues in Islam? And how does the Hadith study talk about online shops? Then what is the relationship between these two problems? Researchers try to answer all these problems using field and library research methods. The findings include that the study of hadiths about online shops through digital media can be easily understood but the discussion is not detailed enough. As for the hadith, this matter can be correlated with the law of buying and selling which is prescribed by law.

Abstract

The use of the chador for Muslim women has always been an interesting topic in Islam. Scholars also have different opinions regarding the chador. There are those who regard it as an obligation, sunnah, and mubah. In fact, there are those who view that the wearing of the veil is an exaggerated attitude towards religion. The difference opinions are caused by differences in interpretation of religious texts, namely the Qur’an and hadith. One of the Islamic organisations in Indonesia that is synonymous with the chador is Wahdah Islamiyah which was founded in Makassar. They believe that wearing the chador is an obligation for Muslim women. The chador is part of the sharia that must be carried out by Muslim women. This understanding is based on the opinions of Sheikh Usaimin and Ibn Taimiyah as scholars whose opinions are often referred to by this organization. Meanwhile, for the Indonesian context, the use of the chador still has a bad stereotype. Even so, Muslim women may wear the chador, as long as it is not used as a standard of a Muslim woman's faith and piety.

Abstract

Discourse on music has always been an interesting issue in Islam. Some scholars forbid it, but others allow it. These differences are caused by different understandings of religious texts, especially hadiths that talk about music. The hadith which is indicated forbidding music is the hadith narrated by Imam Bukhari. However, a narrator is considered dhaif. Meanwhile, another hadiths which have substantially almost same do not clearly prohibit it because it is explaining the prohibition of khamr, not music. When associated with other arguments, it can be understood that there are three 'illat or reasons why music is prohibited. First, playing music is synonymous with the habits of people who do a sin. Second, it resembles a devil's flute. Third, it is included useless words. Thus, the contextualization of the hadiths related to music is that it is allowed if the lyrics are not dirty and invite disobedience to Allah. Music can also be used as a method of preaching, uplifting and spreading kindness.

Abstract

The issue of gender is one of the actual issues in Islam. In patriarchal culture, men are dominant in household matters. They make a living and make decisions in the family. Women's duties are only to obey and take care of domestic work at home. Instead, public space belongs to men. Women are seen as weak creatures who will always be below men. This view was born not only because of patriarchal culture, but also because of an understanding of the verses of the which is gender biased, causing injustice to women. Amina Wadud, one of the modern thinkers, challenged this understanding and advocated a reinterpretation of verses that were considered discriminatory against women. According to Wadud, in Islam, men and women have equal status. There is no superiority of men over women because the measure of glory is based on the quality of piety to Allah SWT, not on the basis of gender. Furthermore, Wadud also rejected the view of the majority of scholars who understand the word "nafsin wahidah" contained in Q.S. al-Nisa: 1 as Adam. The implication is that the creation of Eve which refers to the word "zawj" in the same verse did not come from Adam. According to him, Eve was created from matter of the same quality as the creation of Adam.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the term șalāh in the Qur'an. While most Muslims understand șalāh as a ritual that begins with takbir and ends with salam, this perspective limits the comprehensive meaning of șalāh. The Qur'an, however, employs the term in various contexts and with multiple nuances. This study adopts the semantic framework of Toshihiko Izutsu to explore and analyze these different uses. The findings reveal that in the Qur'an, șalāh encompasses a range of meanings beyond obligatory prayers, including recitation of the Qur'an, supplication, mercy, blessings, and places of worship. The semantic evolution of șalāh spans from pre-Qur'anic times to the post-Qur'anic era. In the pre-Qur'anic period, șalāh generally referred to prayers with worldly connotations and expressions of respect for rulers. During the Qur'anic period, the meaning of șalāh shifted towards spiritual and eschatological dimensions. In the post-Qur'anic era, particularly within fiqh literature, the term has been narrowly interpreted as obligatory prayers and related ritual acts. This study highlights the dynamic nature of șalāh’s semantic development and its broader implications within Islamic thought.

Abstract

Living is a scientific study related to phenomena that occur in society which is based on al-Qur’an and hadith. One example of living phenomena is the wearing of face veils at Islamic boarding school of An-Nur Ngrukem Pendowoharjo, Sewon, Bantul. The unique thing that differentiates the practice of wearing of face veils at the An-Nur Islamic boarding school from others is that the practice of wearing of face veils at An-Nur Islamic boarding school is only done when the female students are studying with one of the teachers at An-Nur. Apart from that, the practice of wearing of face veils at An-Nur Islamic boarding school is not required to wear loose, dark colored clothing like the practice of wearing of face veils in general. This study uses Pierre Bourdiou's sociological approach to analyze this phenomenon. The results of the analysis is that the consistency of the female students in wearing of face veils cannot be separated from the influence of Gus Rum as one of the family's kyai and ustadz who is very pious and respected. Beside that, the students really like his way of teaching, so that even though at first it was not comfortable wearing of face veils, but for the sack of Gus Rum's comfort in teaching, the female students then got used to wearing of face veils and it becomes a custom.

Abstract

In the intellectual khazanh of Islam, Hasan Hanafi is one of the leading figures of Islamic reform with the idea of Turāṡ Wa Al-Tajdīd. Hasan Hanafi's idea of renewal is intended for Muslims to develop a progressive vision of life through the dimension of liberation. Therefore, this paper aims to see the big idea of Hasan Hanafi's renewal and how relevant it is in the context of Indonesia. This research is included in the type of literature research whose data is obtained from various books, journals, papers, related to this research. The data in this study is divided into two, namely primary and secondary data. Primary data comes from books written directly by Hasan Hanafi and secondary data is a variety of books, journals, which can support this paper. After the data collected, the analysis was carried out with Miles and Hubermas models. The results of this study show that in an effort to realize the revival of the Islamic Revolution, and the unity of the Ummah, Hassan Hanafi built a civilization project called “tradition and modernity” (Turāṡ Wa Al-Tajdīd). In short, it can be said that the Islamic left is based on three pillars in order to realize the revival of Islam, the Islamic Revolution, and the unity of the people. First, the revitalization of classical Islamic treasures. Second, against Western civilization. Third, the analysis of the reality of the Islamic world. Hassan Hanafi's ideas about at-turatats wa at-tajdīd can be applied in Indonesia in order to overcome poverty as a chronic social problem. The proposed effort is to increase the participation of individuals and the private sector in this case the business world to more actively help and improve the quality of life of disadvantaged communities. The activity of individuals and the private sector in poverty alleviation is an important aspect that will help government programs in overcoming poverty.
