Abstract

The quality of Aqidah Akhlak learning plays a crucial role in developing students who possess strong faith, piety, and noble character. Achieving this objective requires a curriculum development model that is systematic, adaptive, and sustainable. One relevant approach is the D.K. Wheeler curriculum development model, which emphasizes a cyclical process consisting of five interconnected stages: determining objectives, selecting learning experiences, organizing learning experiences, evaluation, and revision. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the D.K. Wheeler curriculum development model in improving the quality of Aqidah Akhlak learning. The research employed a qualitative approach using a library research design. Data were collected through document analysis of books, scholarly articles, and other relevant literature discussing the D.K. Wheeler curriculum development model and Aqidah Akhlak learning. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of the D.K. Wheeler model contributes to improving the quality of Aqidah Akhlak learning by establishing clear learning objectives, selecting learning experiences oriented toward character development, organizing systematic learning activities, and conducting continuous evaluation and curriculum revision. However, the implementation of this model still requires strengthening the aspects of continuous evaluation and systematic follow-up to evaluation results in order to enhance the effectiveness of the learning process and better address students' evolving needs. Therefore, the D.K. Wheeler model can serve as an alternative curriculum development approach to improve the quality of Aqidah Akhlak learning in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Fiduciary security carries executory power within credit agreements, granting the creditor—as the fiduciary recipient—the right to execute upon the collateral asset should the debtor default. Consequently, the author is interested in further examining the "Unilateral Execution of Fiduciary Collateral Objects by Creditors Based on Constitutional Court Decision Number 18/PUU-VII/2019 in Bengkulu City." Constitutional Court Decision Number 18/PUU-VII/2019 altered the process of executing fiduciary security; it established that creditors are not permitted to carry out execution independently (*parate executie*) but are instead required to file a petition for execution with the District Court so that a ruling with permanent legal force may be issued. However, in practice, creditors have not consistently adhered to this requirement, often proceeding without a court decision that possesses permanent legal force.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the mediation process and its effectiveness in resolving a land ownership dispute concerning the construction of the Tais Religious Court Building in Seluma Regency. The dispute arose from a resident’s claim of ownership over part of the land used for the building. Differences in interests between the resident and the local government led to a conflict requiring a peaceful and effective resolution. This study employed an empirical legal method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation and were analyzed qualitatively. The findings show that mediation was conducted through deliberation involving the disputing parties with the assistance of a mediator to reach a mutual agreement. Mediation was considered effective because it reduced conflict, accelerated dispute resolution, and produced a solution acceptable to the parties. From a civil-law perspective, mediation constitutes an alternative dispute-resolution mechanism that provides legal certainty while prioritizing the principles of deliberation and consensus.

Abstract

Persistent youth and graduate unemployment in Nigeria has intensified the need for education that connects schooling with practical competence, employability, and self-employment. This article examines the role of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in the economic empowerment of youths, with particular attention to the conditions that shape its teaching in Nigerian schools. A conceptual review approach was adopted, drawing on the scholarly literature, policy-oriented sources, and institutional materials cited in the original manuscript. The literature was organized around the meaning and forms of TVET, pathways from skills acquisition to youth empowerment, major teaching and implementation constraints, and strategies for improving delivery. The review shows that TVET can strengthen occupational competence, entrepreneurship, self-reliance, and productive participation when practical instruction is adequately supported. However, poor funding, overcrowded practical classes, inadequate or obsolete facilities, outdated curricula, weak adaptation to technological change, insufficient staff development, shortages of qualified instructors, and poor remuneration reduce its effectiveness. The findings indicate that youth economic empowerment depends not simply on the existence of TVET programmes but on the quality and relevance of their delivery. Strengthening funding, facilities, curriculum renewal, teacher development, and technology-responsive instruction is therefore essential for translating school-based TVET into sustainable employment and wider economic development.

Abstract

Mental health among Generation Z has become an important issue amid achievement pressure, uncertainty about the future, comparison culture, and intensive use of digital media. This study examines how life struggles and Generation Z mental health are represented in the lyrics of Hindia’s Besok Mungkin Kita Sampai. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using Teun A. van Dijk’s Critical Discourse Analysis, covering text structure, social cognition, and social context. The primary data consisted of the song lyrics, while secondary data were drawn from books, journal articles, previous studies, relevant documentation, and published statements by the songwriter. Data were collected through documentation, literature review, and close listening and note-taking, then purposively analyzed at the level of words, phrases, sentences, and lyrical stanzas related to mental health. The findings show that the text structure constructs themes of an uncertain life journey, social pressure surrounding achievement, identity exploration, and acceptance that individuals move through life at different paces. At the level of social cognition, Hindia demonstrates awareness of feeling left behind, pressures related to education, employment, marriage, personal relationships, and the need to pause. Within the social context, three dominant representations emerge: overthinking, anxiety about the future, and emotional exhaustion, all reinforced by competition and social comparison. The song therefore functions as a medium of reflection and emotional support while offering a counter-discourse to uniform standards of success.
