Abstract

Community service activities are carried out at RA Nurul Iman Bintang Alam Karawang. This research aims to provide knowledge and increase understanding about waste and how to use it. The method used in community service activities is the gamification method. Gamification is the delivery of material related to learning to manage plastic bottle waste by practicing making simple piggy banks so that RA students can manage money from an early age. The service was carried out by three students from the Faculty of Engineering, Industrial Engineering Study Program, Singaperbangsa University, Karawang. This activity was attended by 14 students from class A and class B. Apart from that, there was also a socialization method, which consisted of an introduction to the material, a pre-test, and a post-test related to plastic waste management so that children could learn more about waste and be able to implement waste. the plastic bottle. The results of socialization on the use of plastic bottle waste from the pre-test and post-test work, the pre-test got an average score of 76.785 while the post-test got an average of 87.5. Based on these results, it can be seen that there has been an increase in RA Nurul Iman's students' understanding of waste and how to use it.

Abstract

To achieve environmental cleanliness, high awareness of cleanliness and health is required. In terms of keeping the environment clean, one very serious problem is a lack of understanding about the waste problem. This problem can be overcome through an educational approach that provides an understanding of various types of waste, both organic and inorganic waste. Efforts to maintain the cleanliness of the surrounding environment must start from an early age. Therefore, this community service activity was carried out to provide education about waste sorting to students at SDN Rengasdengklok Selatan 3 located in Karawang. The purpose of this activity is to increase students' understanding and awareness of the consequences of environmental pollution arising from waste disposal. This activity is carried out with a holistic approach using two main stages, namely socialization and direct practical activities. Through this community service activity, students can not only increase their understanding and awareness of the impacts of waste, but also gain knowledge about the types of waste and the correct way to sort waste.

Abstract

Wadas Village has a Waste Bank which functions to process or recycle waste so that it becomes usable products. Dahlia Paud, which is a unit of the Karawang Main Waste Bank, has a lot of potential for small businesses made from waste. One of them is mijel soap made from used cooking oil, developed by women in Wadas Village. However, this business is still managed traditionally and has not been optimized through the use of information technology such as the internet to market products. In general, this paper analyzes the obstacles, and advantages found in product and product marketing. This community service aims to introduce mijel (used cooking oil) soap products so that they can be known by the wider community and help increase sales.

Abstract

This community service is carried out by students of the AS-SHIDDIQIYAH Vocational High School (SMK) located at Jalan Lintas Timur, Lempuing Jaya District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. This community service takes the form of training in network configuration using Mikrotik. The network life cycle model with the PPDIOO concept is, Prepare, Plan, Design, Implement, Operate and Optimize. This activity takes the form of training on MikroTik configuration as a router. This activity aims to provide participants with an understanding of the basic capabilities of computer networks and the use of MikroTik as a router. The benefit of Mikrotik Router training for As-Shiddiqiah Vocational School students is that they can understand the concept of computer networks on a small, medium or large scale. This allows them to manage and monitor the network well.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the effectiveness of socialization regarding the application of low-smoke waste burning equipment in the Malangsari Village community in an effort to reduce the impact of air pollution. Waste is often considered trivial, even though waste is something that humans should pay attention to. Misuse of waste can violate the law regulated in Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, observation and documentation. The information collected is then analyzed using content analysis. The results of the research show that the socialization of smoke-free waste burning equipment has succeeded in increasing the awareness of the Malangsari Village community about the importance of environmentally friendly waste management. Socialization activities took place indoors and outdoors on Thursday, January 26 2024. Through counseling, demonstrations and practical training, the community understood how to make and use smoke-free waste burning devices correctly. Apart from that, there was also an increase in the active participation of the Malangsari Village community in the socialization of low-smoke waste burning tools. Abstract

Pests are one of the main enemies of farmers in obtaining quality harvests. Currently, pesticides made from chemicals are still the first choice for farmers to eradicate pests. Considering the negative impact of using chemical pesticides, it is necessary to provide outreach to farmers so that they are willing to switch to vegetable pesticides to eradicate pests. This community service activity was carried out in Dongkal Village, which is one of the villages in the Pedes District, Karawang Regency, where farming is the main livelihood of the majority of the population. This activity, which carried out within the framework of Service Community (KKN) subject for students at Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang, aims to provide understanding and awareness to farmers in Dongkal Village regarding the negative impacts of using chemical pesticides in the long term, as well as socializing the use of vegetable pesticides that are more environmentally friendly and effective in eradicate pests. The outreach activities held in collaboration with the field officer of Agriculture UPTD. At the end of the activity, samples of vegetable pesticides produced by KKN participant were handed over to the Head of the Farmer Group. Besides, training and assistance also provided to farmers on how to make vegetable pesticides so that they can make their own vegetable pesticides in the future.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to assist and carry out outreach as an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in a standard and effective manner, and to help cultivate a culture of mutual cooperation and Village independence in making nanofluid droplet hand washer fluid technology. The partner for this service activity is Tanjung Bungin Village, Karawang. The village's location close to Tanjungpakis Beach means that many people pass by and stop by, but there is still low awareness of the Covid-19 pandemic and there are no adequate public facilities for nanofluid droplet hand washer technology and there has not yet been a good awareness of cultivating mutual cooperation and village independence in making nanofluid droplet hand washer technology is a problem. The solution to this problem is to apply nanofluid technology to hand washers. The PKM implementation method is carried out from the preparation stage to the use of hand washer tools and materials directly in public facilities as well as evaluation by looking at and listening to suggestions for tools and materials for improvement. The results of this PKM were in the form of natural hand washer fluid and nanofluid hand washer tools as well as a positive response to socialization activities and handover of hand washer tools.

PkM Tanjung Bungin Village, Karawang Regency is inhabited by 891 families or around 2,612 residents. Crowded places such as entertainment venues, sales of fishermen's catches and traditional markets are always busy with people from villages, sub-districts and even Bekasi Regency. Frequent interactions between the people of Tanjung Bungin Village and people outside the village area because of the necessities of life that need to be met have resulted in a large potential for the spread of Covid-19. There needs to be a program that can provide the right solution to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Application of Nanofluid Droplet Technology in Disinfectant Sprayers in Efforts to Prevent the Spread of Covid-19 in Public Facilities in Kec. Pakisjaya District. Karawang independently among the community is one of the appropriate and effective solutions. The disinfectant sprayer made is based on the theory underlying research proposed on microsprayer technology on disinfectant sprayers made and used in PkM efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in public facilities in Pakisjaya District, Kab. Karawang. The method that had been used was by mentoring, training, making and implementing Disinfectant Spray Equipment. The output of this community service activity was the creation and implementation of a nanofluid droplet technology disinfectant sprayer at public facilities in Tanjungbungin Village, Pakisjaya District, Karawang Regency.

Abstract

Apart from that, the unavailability of speed bumps around roads where there are potential accidents and their lack of self-sufficiency means that speed bumps increase the risk of high traffic accidents. There needs to be a program that can provide the right solution to immediately reduce the potential for traffic accidents. Making speed bump technology made from plastic independently among the community will be the right and effective solution. The plastic speed bump technology that had been made is based on research products and uses the same manufacturing method as that carried out in the research. The method that had been implemented is integration between PkM and student KKN activity programs by means of mentoring, training, and making speed bump technology made from plastic. The output of this community service activity was the creation and implementation of a speed bump made from plastic in Tanjungbungin Village, Pakisjaya District, Karawang Regency.

Abstract

The aim of this Community Service Program (PkM) is to provide job interview training according to human resource department (HRD) standards. The target of this training activity is job applicants who are members of the telegram group. This community service activity uses direct exposure/presentation methods, interview simulation practices, and questions and answers. The background to this training activity is an analysis of community needs by conducting initial observations and interviews via a telegram group. Based on the results of observations and interviews, it was found that there were still many job applicants who failed the job interview test stage. This is due to a lack of experience in interview tests and a lack of knowledge about interview material and assessments. There is also a lack of knowledge about the importance of personal branding. Therefore, training is needed, especially on creating curriculum vitae and LinkedIn for personal branding, interview tips, and tricks, followed by a job interview simulation by 4 (four) participants. The stages of this community service activity are analyzing community needs through observation and interviews, selecting topics for service activities, determining technical activities and creating training materials, presenting training materials, and finally the evaluation stage. Based on the activities that have been carried out, the results obtained show that participants' interview and communication skills have increased in facing job interview tests.
